A KOTOBUKIYA Japanese import! Created in 1941 by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby to represent opposition to Nazi Germany, CAPTAIN AMERICA combined superhero stories with patriotism and the fight against oppression in the world. From humble beginnings as a physically weak young man, Steve Rogers attempted to join the United States military service to combat the threat in Europe. Recruited into a secret 'Super-Soldier' program, Rogers was given a serum and radiation that transformed him into a paragon of human athleticism. With a red, white, and blue costume and special aerodynamic shield, Captain America burst onto the superhero scene. Throughout his illustrious career Rogers would team up with other heroes and fight alongside the Avengers on multiple occasions. Though he was thought dead at the end of the Civil War storyline, the original Captain America was displaced in time and is destined to return as a member of the Avengers Reborn with Thor and Iron Man! The patriotic American super soldier stands triumphant on the field of battle, a bastion of freedom and democracy standing firm while raising his iconic shield over his head. His uniform and signature look are recreated down to the last detail, with special emphasis paid to the sculpting of Captain America's impressive musculature and the scales of his armored shirt. Cap's classic look is comprised of vivid red, white, and blue, with subtler accents of facial skin tone, and dark leather boots and belt pouches with metallic fasteners. You can display Captain America in two different ways according to your preferences, utilizing either of his included heads: the traditional winged look and World War II D-Day helmet variant! Captain America stands approximately 12 1/2' inches tall (1/6th-scale), with one foot on a rocky stone base decorated with the classic Avengers 'A' logo. The deluxe motif base connects to those of the other members of the Avengers Reborn series, Thor and Iron Man. A hero in his homeland of Brazil and Japan where he competed in some of his most famous races, Senna's career included 41 victories, 65 pole positions, and three world championships. His legacy of philanthropy rivals that of his racing; only after his death behind the wheel during the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix was it discovered that he had donated millions of dollars from his personal fortune to children's charities. Appearing as he did after winning the Brazil GP 1991, Senna stands triumphant with his right hand holding his trophy up in the air. The legendary driver wears his red Honda Nacional driving uniform, intricately detailed with every seam, crease, and sponsor patch. But the details go every further. After that grueling race, in which gear box trouble left him with only six functioning, Senna finished with a numb left arm, and even that is reflected in the statue! Sculpted by Koei Matsumoto and Shinya Akao, Senna's face features an amazingly realistic sculpt, and the Fine Art Statue has been officially approved by the driver's sister Viviane Senna. A KOTOBUKIYA Japanese import! The amazing X-Men Danger Room Sessions Fine Art Statue series continues with its fifth member, the mighty steel-skinned mutant COLOSSUS! Born Piotr 'Peter' Rasputin, the mutant who would become an X-Man grew up on a struggling farm in the Soviet Union. His first comic book appearance took place in 1975's Giant-Size X-Men #1, when Professor Xavier visited the small farm to recruit Peter. At first denying his powers, the mutant revealed his true abilities when a runaway tractor threatened his sister. Transforming into a living steel form with vast strength and durability, Colossus would join the X-Men and serve with distinction, which of course meant lots of practice in the Danger Room. Ever since the early days of Marvel Comics' mutant adventures, 'X' teams have trained together in the ultra high tech facility known as the Danger Room, equipped with state of the art adaptive combat and athletics routines that challenge each participant in unique ways. The training facility has been featured prominently in X-Men comics over the years, as well as in various cartoons and the third X-Men film. Inspired by Jim Lee's 1990's era X-Men, Colossus is a massive and unstoppable force. The massive mutant is posed triumphant on the field of battle, about to bring down his heavy fists to crush the last of his wrecked foes. With his powerful physique transformed into living metal, Colossus has a fantastic sculpt showing off each and every muscle wrapped in smooth, narrow bands. He wears his classic bright red and yellow costume that's decorated at the waist with a large red and black 'X' logo. Everywhere his 'skin' is exposed is bright metallic silver, except for his black hair, making Colossus very visually dynamic. But that's not all. You even have two cool options when it comes to displaying the X-Man as he comes with two interchangeable heads: the first is angry yet focused, while the second is a sheer mask of rage! Sculpted by Erick Sosa, the enormous Colossus stands over 15 inches tall! He's perfectly in scale (1/6th) with the other Danger Room Sessions members, and like them stands upon a unique Danger Room holographic environment with translucent parts that glow with a built-in LED light in the base. One of Baelgard's four guardians, Xecty is an artificial life form created by Hiruda from Celestia's genetic material. The new E.V.E. version recreates the character's origin as an ancient biological body weapon. Representing the ornate clothing of a bygone era, Xecty's outfit is an amazing example of Kotobukiya's excellent sculpting and attention to detail in an alternate version of her military uniform. The long bright red jacket features intricate hems, folds, and stitching, while layers and straps add white and black to the mix. On Xecty's sleeves are complicated laces and bright white symbols adorn her jacket at the shoulder and base.
