esempio: @author Stan Lee
esempio: @artist John Romita
Jr.
@cover copertinista: cerca solo articoli di questo
copertinista. Per esempio: @cover Alex
Ross
@artista, @editore, @titolo (mentre @cover rimane uguale!)
grammaticalmente simili (Man/Men ad esempio).
articoli presentanti negli ultimi 30 / 90 giorni mentre @mese a quelli
presentati nel mese in corso e @YEAR all'ultimo anno (inteso come "gli
ultimi 365 giorni).
codice a barre.

In an inexplicable worldwide event, forty-seven extraordinary children were spontaneously born by women who'd previously shown no signs of pregnancy. Millionaire inventor Reginald Hargreeves adopted seven of the children; when asked why, his only explanation was, 'To save the world.' These seven children form The Umbrella Academy, a dysfunctional family of superheroes with bizarre powers. Their first adventure at the age of ten pits them against an erratic and deadly Eiffel Tower, piloted by the fearsome zombie-robot Gustave Eiffel. Nearly a decade later, the team disbands, but when Hargreeves unexpectedly dies, these disgruntled siblings reunite just in time to save the world once again. This volume collects the first six-issue series, as well as out-of-print short stories, and an expanded sketchbook section featuring work by Bá, Jean, and Way. St. John was a mid-sized comics publisher with a varied list of titles, and in June 1952 they joined the horror binge with two titles, Strange Terrors and Weird Horrors. Strange Terrors ended after seven issues, to be replaced by Nightmare #3, picking up from the Ziff-Davis series. However, they then combined the title Nightmare with the numbering from Weird Horrors, so that Weird Horrors #9 and Nightmare #3 were followed by Nightmare #10. And after Nightmare #13 the title was changed to Amazing Ghost Stories for its final three issues. Collects Nightmare #3 (October 1953) and #10-13 (December 1953 to August 1954). Synopsis: COMIC MEDIA : Dynamite (1953 Series) Issues #6 - #9 January 1954 - September 1954 CHARLTON : Johnny Dynamite (1955 Series) #10 June 1955 Special Notes: Variant Covers If collated need the ratio, /Free or ordering Criteria Johnny Dynamite created by Pete Morisi was a hard-boiled private detective, known as 'The Wild Man from Chicago.' Good friends with the D.A. but readily accepted by the underworld - he smoked cigarettes constantly, cursed frequently and had a bad habit of getting shot and beaten by his enemies. But always gave as good as he got - he was an experience and persistent detective taking his cases very personally and killed many of his early foes, claiming they were reaching for a weapon. Myra Benz, who had shot him in the eye, was brazenly killed without any true justification beyond his own sense of justice. The other main artist across Comic Media titles was Don Heck, who in 1955 would be recruited by Stan Lee to Atlas Comics, later to become Marvel Comics. Where he became one of the architects of what became known as 'The Marvel Age of Comics,' along with Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko and Dick Ayers. So combined Pete and Don make this 1950's five-comic set, today's winner but be warned, stock is limited! by Philip Francis Nowlan & Dick Calkins Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, the first, best, and original science-fiction newspaper strip, has it all - space ships, anti-gravity belts, space pirates, invaders from other worlds, nefarious villains, and, of course, heroes. Comic strip historian Maurice Horn notes that Buck Rogers in the 25th Century 'introduced most of the staples of science-fiction plotting' to the American public - as well as to everyone else in the world who read it. Beginning in September 2008, Hermes Press will begin a complete reprint of the ground-breaking newspaper strip in a 9' x 12' landscape format, 2 strips per page. Reprinting over 900 strips, 2 years of the daily strip are presented in Volume One, beginning with the first strip dated January 7, 1929. A special 16-page color section contains an essay on the strip by a leading science-fiction author to place the series in historical perspective together with documentary materials and production artwork. See and experience the thrill and awe of the precursor of Star Trek, Star Wars, and every other science-fiction story to come after! (immagine) Categoria: Books: graphic novels
