Matt Hotson always wanted to write comics, but took a little detour along the way to work as an assistant director on TV shows and movies like DC’s Titans, Murderbot, and Tammy’s Always Dying. His first comic book project, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Return, released in 2024 from Boom! Studios. He lives in Toronto, Canada with zero dogs, zero cats, and that one pesky spider up on the living room ceiling.Jordi Tarragona began collaborating with Rafa Sandoval and Roger Bonet, artists and inkers for Marvel (Young X-Men, The Initiative, Ultimate Enemy). In 2009 he finally began working as a full-time inker for the US market on comics such as Predators Adaptation, P, Sequel, and Your Highness for Dark Horse. He has also worked for IDW on comics such as Transformers and Eternal Descent, and with Dabel Brothers and Top Cow on the Crosshair series. He currently works for Zenescope, DC Comics, and Oni Press as an artist.

Her long-running webcomic OCTOPUS PIE is known for its intense resonance and amazing levels of craft.Carey Pietsch is currently the co-adapter and artist on the Adventure Zone graphic novel series from First Second books. Books 1–6—The Suffering Game, The Eleventh Hour, The Crystal Kingdom, Petals to the Metal, Murder on the Rockport Limited, and Here There Be Gerblins—are out in bookstores everywhere, and you can buy them online at theadventurezonecomic.com. Previously, she was the artist on the Mages of Mystralia webcomic, Lumberjanes Issues #29–32, and Adventure Time: Marceline Gone Adrift. Her original comics Rift and The Witches' Daughters appeared in SOI's Comic & Cartoon Art Annual, 2015; Gleam was a part of the 2016 show. Her work has also appeared in several anthologies, including Chainmail Bikini, Oath, 1001 Knights, Blood Root, and Terrestrial. An award-winning writer since 1973, Marv Wolfman succeeded mentor Roy Thomas as Marvel’s editor in chief. Well-remembered for his Tomb of Dracula scripts, he also enjoyed runs on Dr. Strange, Fantastic Four and Nova, among other titles. New Teen Titans, his 1980s collaboration with George Pérez, became DC Comics’ biggest hit in years. Wolfman and Pérez literally rewrote DC history with Crisis on Infinite Earths. He subsequently penned episodes for such animated TV series as G.I. Joe, Transformers and others.Jim Shooter entered the comic-book field at age 14 as writer and penciler of the “Legion of Super-Heroes” feature in Adventure Comics. Later moving to Marvel, he wrote Daredevil, Ghost Rider, Marvel Team-Up, Marvel Two-in-One and other titles. As editor in chief, he tightened Marvel’s publishing schedule; added new titles; nurtured fresh talent; launched the New Universe; and wrote the 12-issue Secret Wars and its sequel, Secret Wars II. After beginning his writing career on DC horror titles, David Michelinie moved to Marvel. He and co-writer/inker Bob Layton established Iron Man’s battle with alcoholism, use of specialized armor variants and vendetta against Doctor Doom, as well as other aspects of the character that endure to this day. Michelinie’s unique blend of action, suspense and humor distinguished not only Iron Man, but also Amazing Spider-Man. With artist Todd McFarlane, he introduced the vicious vigilante Venom; he also wrote the first Venom limited series, Lethal Protector. Michelinie’s run as Amazing writer was second in length only to that of Stan Lee himself, while he also authored tie-in titles Spectacular Spider-Man, Web of Spider-Man and Spider-Man. He moved from Marvel’s flagship character to DC’s with a stint on Superman’s Action Comics, later returning to the world of Tony Stark for writing collaborations with Bob Layton on Iron Man: Legacy of Doom and Iron Man: The End.Bob Layton began as a prolific and popular inker for Charlton, Marvel and DC Comics, where he first teamed with longtime collaborator David Michelinie on Claw the Unconquered and Star Hunters.
