The United States Postal Service in 2007 issued a sheet of 20 postage stamps that featured Marvel Comics' greatest heroes, from Spider-Man and the Incredible Hulk to the Fantastic Four and Captain America. These stamps featured artwork taken from Marvel Comics' long history, and the sheets were popular both with stamp collectors and Marvel collectors. The United States Postal Service, for the first time, has authorized these Marvel Comics stamps to be minted as solid silver ingots, and this collection will also include pure silver medallions that feature the artwork from the stamp series.
