esempio: @author Stan Lee
esempio: @artist John Romita
Jr.
@cover copertinista: cerca solo articoli di questo
copertinista. Per esempio: @cover Alex
Ross
@artista, @editore, @titolo (mentre @cover rimane uguale!)
grammaticalmente simili (Man/Men ad esempio).
articoli presentanti negli ultimi 30 / 90 giorni mentre @mese a quelli
presentati nel mese in corso e @YEAR all'ultimo anno (inteso come "gli
ultimi 365 giorni).
codice a barre.

Gou Tanabe’s very latest Lovecraft manga adaptation, the first volume in an ongoing series! No one can explain his escape from the insane asylum—but whatever the blue-gray dust was in his cell, it was certainly no longer Charles Dexter Ward…It was the 1920s—the Jazz Age, the age of modern wonders. But young Charles Dexter Ward was a dreamer, in love with the antiquities of his native Providence, Rhode Island. Charles was known for the long walks he took around the streets and alleyways of the old colonial city, searching out the traces that still lingered from centuries ago. It would have all seemed a harmless interest in the past…were it not for the fact Charles gradually developed a fixation on his notorious ancestor, Joseph Curwen.A wealthy merchant before the American Revolution, Curwen, known to have an interest in alchemy and rumored to practice the darker arts of the occult, never appeared to grow any older even as his money increased. But at last Curwen did die–violently—and the records of his life seemed to have been deliberately destroyed. Charles Dexter Ward hunted feverishly through the scraps of information that remained, for his new obsession was to find Curwen’s unmarked grave.Young Charles hasn’t seemed himself ever since—travelling to strange lands and keeping stranger company. Performing bizarre experiments and chants inside his room, Charles claims to have rediscovered secret knowledge his ancestor possessed that could revolutionize the world. When his erratic and dangerous behavior at last gets him committed to an insane asylum, Charles seemingly escapes…and only his family physician, Dr. Willett, suspecting a hideous truth, now has the courage to pursue the strange case of Charles Dexter Ward!Includes tip-in title page in metallic ink!

An encounter with the work of creature modeler Yasushi Nirasawa in Hobby Japan magazine started Tanabe’s interest in horror movies and the special effects behind them as well.Tanabe began his professional manga career with a short stint working as an assistant, but made his solo debut in 2003 with Sunakichi, published in Comic Beam magazine; the story won the magazine’s New Faces Award, and Tanabe would soon become associated with Comic Beam, which began to regularly feature his Lovecraft manga staring in 2007 with an adaptation of the short story “The Outsider.â€In addition to receiving nominations for three Eisner Awards, two Harvey Awards, and one American Manga Award to date, Gou Tanabe has received critical acclaim in France, winning the prestigious Best Series award in 2020 at the Angoulême International Comics Festival. What if Wendy first traveled to Never Land with Captain Hook? Now in a deluxe paperback edition featuring gorgeous printed edges! Head for the second star to the right in this tale inspired by Peter Pan, from the New York Times bestselling series that reimagines beloved Disney films.Sixteen-year-old Wendy Darling’s life is not what she imagined it would be. The doldrums of an empty house after her brothers have gone to school, the dull parties where everyone thinks she talks too much, and the fact that her parents have decided to send her away to Ireland as a governess—it all makes her wish things could be different.Wendy’s only real escape is in writing down tales of Never Land. After nearly meeting her hero, Peter Pan, four years earlier, she still holds on to the childhood hope that his magical home truly exists. She also holds on to his shadow. So when an opportunity to travel to Never Land via pirate ship presents itself, Wendy makes a deal with the devil. But Never Land isn’t quite the place she imagined it would be—unexpected dangers and strange foes pop up at every turn, and a little pixie named Tinker Bell seems less than willing to help. But when Captain Hook reveals some rather permanent and evil plans for Never Land, it’s up to Wendy and Tinkerbell to save Peter Pan—and his home.
After spending ten years producing video games, Liz Braswell began her career as a full-time writer with a retelling of Snow White called Snow, followed by Rx and the Nine Lives of Chloe King series. A love letter to growing up with comics from one of the art form’s great modern masters. In Marble Season, Harvey and Eisner Award winner Gilbert Hernandez revisits the golden age of the American dream and the silver age of comics. Middle child Huey stages backyard Captain America plays and treasures his older brother's comic book collection almost as much as his approval. It’s a simpler time: when shooting marbles, trading Mars Attacks cards, and the excitement of the latest comic you could get your hands on reigned supreme. This evocative story of a young family navigating cultural and neighborhood norms in a majority Latino community brings forth a snapshot of mid-century Americana that goes all too often unseen. The joyful, creative play of childhood might gradually bend under the pressure of name-calling naysayers and abusive bullies–but it certainly doesn’t break. Drawing from his own upbringing in 1960s suburban California, Hernandez delivers a modern literary classic about the redemptive and timeless power of storytelling and play.
All Ages
Gilbert Hernandez was born in 1957 in Oxnard, California, a middle child in a family of six children. Alongside his brothers Jaime and Mario, Gilbert co-created and contributed to the acclaimed comic book series Love and Rockets, which celebrates its 45th anniversary in 2026. Hernandez was inducted into the Eisner Hall of Fame in 2017.

Ron Marz broke into comics in the early '90s with a lengthy run on Marvel’s Silver Surfer, followed by a stint on DC’s Green Lantern, where he co-created Kyle Rayner. In 2000, Marz joined the creative team at CrossGen, working on Sojourn, Mystic, The Path and Scion, among others. He also had an acclaimed run on Top Cow’s Witchblade which lasted nearly a decade. He has recently returned to Marvel, writing Silver Surfer: Rebirth. The comic-art career of Scot Eaton stretches back to the early ’90s, with work on Doctor Fate and Scarab for DC Comics, as well as a brief tenure drawing Jim Starlin’s Dreadstar for First Comics. After a run illustrating Sigil for CrossGen, he worked steadily at Marvel. His credits include Rogue, Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man and Black Panther, most notably the wedding of Storm and T’Challa. He has been a stalwart of the X-Universe, drawing New Excalibur, several chapters of the “Endangered Species†saga, X-Factor, X-Men: Legacy and Wolverine: Origins. Other Marvel credits include Doomwar, Iron Man/Thor and Secret Avengers.Tom Morgan started his comics career at Marvel in the mid-1980s. He contributed inks, pencils and cover art to a variety of series, including several Spider-Man and New Universe titles. Morgan next illustrated short runs on Captain America, Power Pack and Alpha Flight, along with the miniseries The War and two Excalibur special editions. During the early 1990s, Morgan landed his first long-term assignment as penciler of Punisher 2099. He went on to illustrate several Iron Man issues, an Extreme Justice arc for DC Comics and Topps Comics’ licensed miniseries Xena: Warrior Princess vs. Callisto. In 2008, Morgan illustrated IDW’s comic biography Presidential Material: Barack Obama.John Buscema (1927-2002) literally wrote the book on being a Marvel artist — namely, How To Draw Comics the Marvel Way — and few were better qualified. His career dated back to the Timely/Atlas era of the late ’40s and early ’50s. Soon after beginning the Marvel Age of Comics, Stan Lee recruited Buscema from the advertising field to the Marvel Bullpen. Buscema followed a long run on Avengers with the long-anticipated first Silver Surfer series. He subsequently succeeded Jack Kirby on Fantastic Four, Thor and other titles. By the time of his retirement in 1996, Buscema had penciled nearly every Marvel title — including his personal favorite, Conan the Barbarian.

***The Lunar Exclusive Edition includes: A high quality exclusive print of the sketch for the regular edition cover Acetate Sleeve Alex Ross, the award-winning and bestselling creator of Marvels, Kingdom Come, and Fantastic Four: Full Circle, takes readers through the Marvel Universe—but all is not as it seems Marvel Dimensions is legendary artist Alex Ross’ second book in the Marvel Arts series, following the national bestselling, critically acclaimed, and award-winning Fantastic Four: Full Circle. The story opens with a sweeping tour through the classic origins of Marvel’s most iconic characters. Spider-Man, the Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, Wolverine, and many others appear in dramatic, fully painted spreads that echo their earliest stories. A narrator describes each moment with confidence, guiding the reader through these touchstones of Marvel’s history. But as the story moves forward, the tone begins to shift. The voice behind the narration is not who the readers expect and carries a motive that slowly pushes the narrative somewhere darker and far more unpredictable. Once this change becomes clear, the book expands into something larger and more surprising. Storylines twist in on themselves, characters behave in unexpected ways, and events ripple across the Marvel Universe with growing tensions. Ross uses the structure of the book to create anticipation and pull the reader deeper into a mystery that keeps widening. Every new sequence reveals another layer, building toward a final act that reframes everything that came before it. A bonus 32-page comic book is included that is pivotal to the storyline. With Marvel Dimensions, Ross approaches the Marvel Universe from a new angle with new character invention that invites readers to question what they think and what they know. Marvel Dimensions may be the latest title in the Marvel Arts line . . . but it is only the beginning. (immagine) Categoria: Books: graphic novels
