A KOTOBUKIYA Japanese import! While the last series of Marvel Universe Fine Art Statues from Kotobukiya focused on the heroes and villains of the X-Men, the next character comes from outer space and has plans to rule the entire universe: THANOS! Known as the 'Mad Titan,' Thanos is a massively powerful alien who first appeared in the pages of Marvel Comics back in 1973 and has been a menace ever since. An Eternal and Deviant as well as a brilliant scientist, the purple villain became obsessed with Mistress Death and sought to please her by killing. Over the years Thanos would use various weapons and tools in his quest for Death, but by far the most famous and destructive is of course the Infinity Gauntlet, an all-powerful relic combining the powers of six Infinity Gems. With his popularity reaching new heights thanks to his appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Thanos is the perfect new addition to the Fine Art Statue lineup. Always willing to get his hands dirty to further his own schemes, Thanos has arrived to unleash untold destruction on any who would stand in his way! The Mad Titan stands invincible on the battlefield, reveling in his own might as he sweeps away his foes with a clenched fist and the power of the Infinity Gauntlet. His massive frame is garbed in his iconic blue and gold costume, a segmented and reinforced bodysuit with armor plating, huge gloves and boots, a protective skirt, and a wide collar. All of that adds bulk to his already huge physique, and the amazing sculpt shows off both his musculature and the intricate details of his suit. And while Thanos' fist may seem intimidating, it's really his left hand that's the most dangerous for it bears the Gauntlet, expertly recreated with the six differently-colored Gems. The fourth entry in the elite ARTFX Premier series is the Hulk! This 1/10 scale statue was crafted down to the finest detail using digital sculpting, giving this expertly crafted collector's piece an exquisite appearance alongside lifelike detail. The craftsmanship in this piece continues from the sculpting to the painting. Unlike other pieces which follow the pattern of a simple base coat with shading. ARTFX Premier re-evaluates the standards for figure painting. Each individual piece of the statue is layered with several types of paint, giving the finished product an unprecedented sense of beauty and depth. The ARTFX Premier rendition of Hulk is based on the 2018 Immortal Hulk comics, which pays homage to the character's roots. The statue depicts the transformed Bruce Banner delivering a powerful Hulk smash to the base on which he stands. The statue's powerful posing and realistic detail fully capture the Hulk's wild and unbridled strength in his transformed state. In order to give the statue an overpowering sense of power beyond the likes of which can be seen through the monitor of a computer, the initial prototype of the statue was created using clay. The model was then scanned and transformed into 3D data, allowing Kotobukiya's craftsmen to fine-tune the details such as the texture of Hulk's skin and shredded denim trousers. The intricate craftsmanship of this piece continues from the sculpting to the painting, with a multilayered paint job that highlights the level of detail that has gone into the piece. This rendition of the Hulk offers not only the weight and volume of a scale rendition of the character, but an attentive level of detail that offers quality alongside quantity. Like the other Avengers before it, the statue comes in sophisticated packaging overflowing with elegant details, including a marble inspired motif as well as an original illustration based on the figure. Created in 1941 by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby to represent opposition to Nazi Germany, CAPTAIN AMERICA combined superhero stories with patriotism and the fight against oppression in the world. From humble beginnings as a physically weak young man, Steve Rogers attempted to join the United States military service to combat the threat in Europe. Recruited into a secret 'Super-Soldier' program, Rogers was given a serum and radiation that transformed him into a paragon of human athleticism. With a red, white, and blue costume and special aerodynamic shield, Captain America burst onto the superhero scene. Throughout his illustrious career Rogers would team up with other heroes and fight alongside the Avengers on multiple occasions. Though he was thought dead at the end of the Civil War storyline, the original Captain America was displaced in time and is destined to return as a member of the Avengers Reborn with Thor and Iron Man! The patriotic American super soldier stands triumphant on the field of battle, a bastion of freedom and democracy standing firm while raising his iconic shield over his head. His uniform and signature look are recreated down to the last detail, with special emphasis paid to the sculpting of Captain America's impressive musculature and the scales of his armored shirt. Cap's classic look is comprised of vivid red, white, and blue, with subtler accents of facial skin tone, and dark leather boots and belt pouches with metallic fasteners. You can display Captain America in two different ways according to your preferences, utilizing either of his included heads: the traditional winged look and World War II D-Day helmet variant!
