Michelle Knudsen is the New York Times best-selling author of more than fifty books for children and young adults, including the award-winning picture book Library Lion, which was selected by Time magazine as one of the 100 Best Children's Books of All Time. Her novels include The Dragon of Trelian (VOYA Top Shelf Fiction for Middle School Readers) and Evil Librarian (YALSA Best Fiction for Young Adults; Sid Fleischman Award for Humor). Michelle also sometimes writes short fiction for adults and was a 2024 BSFA (British Science Fiction Association) finalist for the audio version of her short story “The Pigeon.” Her most recent title is the picture book Luigi, the Spider Who Wanted to Be a Kitten, illustrated by Kevin Hawkes, and her next book will be the middle grade fantasy novel, INTO THE WILD MAGIC (Candlewick Press, August 2025). Over the past decade few female comic artists have been as beloved as Fumi Yoshinaga. Born in Tokyo, Japan in 1971, Yoshinaga is a graduate of the prestigious Keio University of Tokyo. A lifelong comic artist and story teller, she made her perfessional debut in 1994 with her short series, The Moon and the Sandals, serialized in Hanaoto magazine, but was previously a participant in many indie comic and fanzine conventions.Since her debut Yoshinaga has been 16 series, a few of which have been adapted into motion pictures and animated TV series.
