La struttura del manga, inizialmente articolata in episodi autoconclusivi (fedelmente riproposti in cinque dei sei episodi televisivi), ci presenta il protagonista come un ex studente della prestigiosa università Todai, un venticinquenne armato di agenda (su cui prende ogni genere di appunti), all’apparenza maldestro, ma in realtà solo slegato dalle convenzioni sociali, libero, assetato di vita, capace di impegnarsi al massimo e di raggiungere alti risultati in ogni attività in cui si cimenta (istruttore di nuoto, cuoco, cassiere in un minimarket, etc.), in grado con il suo comportamento di cambiare in meglio la vita delle donne con cui di volta in volta viene in contatto. Successivamente gli episodi autoconclusivi lasciano spazio ad una narrazione più continua che ci porta lentamente a scoprire, nella forma di un lungo flashback che vede il protagonista appena diciannovenne, il passato di Kintaro e le motivazioni del suo cambiamento, sviluppando alcuni personaggi importanti come la sua prima ragazza Yoko e il collega di studi universitari Masamune Kongoji. Star Trek: Deep Space Nine television show focused on a Federation space station tasked with monitoring a nearby wormhole for signs of enemy advances. Though DS9 would never move, all sorts of spacecraft could be seen flying by and docking at the station. This 3-ship Cadet Series set focuses on the spacecraft made iconic on this show. The U.S.S. Saratoga was the ship that DS9's Captain Benjamin Sisko had previously been assigned to though it was tragically lost in an attack by the infamous Borg. The U.S.S. Defiant was an experimental 'hot rod' of a spacecraft designed by the federation for speed and firepower to defend the station. Like all great Trek series, an alien race always proves best to serve as an adversary. In this case the Cardassians filled that role and their primary ship of choice was the Galor-class cruiser.
