An early product of his new direction was the strip Judy, which he began in 1953 with John Hunter (writing as Peter Meriton) providing scripts. Judy is a standard adventure strip for the time – a young, beautiful girl is thrust into danger with her partner, Ricky, and their treasure-hunting adventures take them to exotic locales all over the world in a series of loosely-plotted melodramas. Judy is not quite Carol Day, due to weaker plots and cardboard characters, but maintains a strong appeal because of the art and its adventure premise, and it was a great vehicle for Wright’s beautiful cheesecake panels. In our view, it’s a minor gem by one of the greatest strip artists to practice the art and is well worth fans’ attention. Although originally printed in black and white, the source tearsheets are scanned and printed in full colour to help reflect the original artwork. Mike Mignola's fascination with ghosts and monsters began at an early age; reading Dracula at age twelve introduced him to Victorian literature and folklore, from which he has never recovered. Dave Wielgosz is a comic book writer who was born and raised in Holyoke, Massachusetts, currently living in Los Angeles. Showdown, co-created and drawn by Tadd Galusha, is his first creator-owned project. Prior to this he wrote 2021’s Man-Bat drawn by artist Sumit Kumar and contributed stories to comic book anthologies including Batman: The Brave & The Bold, EC’s Cruel Universe, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Black White & Green, Hello Darkness, and Superman: Man of Tomorrow.Tadd Galusha is a Pacific Northwest comic creator currently operating in “the last frontier” of Alaska.  A Kubert alum, he spent his early days in the industry working alongside artist legends Steve Lieber and Ron Randall in the Portland, Oregon, comic scene. After cutting his tooth on TMNT, Godzilla and the like, 2019 marked a breakout year with the release of his prehistoric epic and first creator-owned graphic novel, Cretaceous. Tadd has since been walking the line of independent and mainstream comics, working on various titles while on occasion dipping in and contributing visual elements to film and commercial projects. He is currently collaborating with writer Dave Wielgosz and the amazing Ignition Press team, providing interior line art, on their new creator-owned series Showdown.

Ande Parks has worked as a comic book artist and writer for more than three decades, on such titles as Superman, Daredevil, Wonder Woman, The Lone Ranger, and Ant-Man. He is best known as an artist for his long stint on Green Arrow, with frequent collaborator Phil Hester and writers Kevin Smith, Brad Meltzer and Judd Winick. Parks' bold style garnered him nominations in both the Harvey and Eagle awards.As a writer, Parks won acclaim for two historical fiction graphic novels, ‘Union Station’ and ‘Capote in Kansas’, which was named a Notable Book by the state of Kansas. Parks developed Ciudad with the Russo brothers and wrote the graphic novel’s script. The book was adapted as a worldwide hit film franchise for Netflix, titled Extraction and starring Chris Hemsworth. Extraction is also in development as a Netflix original series.Parks is currently writing new projects for Ignition Press. He lives in Kansas. He is fond of hats, golf, and bourbon.Ronan Cliquet is a Brazilian comic book artist born in Santos, São Paulo. He began his career in the American comics market at the age of 16, working with publishers such as Top Cow, Dynamite, Marvel Comics, and DC Comics on titles including Marvel Adventures Super Heroes, The Shadow, Green Hornet, Nightwing, Green Lanterns, and Aquaman & Green Arrow: Deep Target, among many others. Beside that, he is a cat and movie lover.
