esempio: @author Stan Lee
esempio: @artist John Romita
Jr.
@cover copertinista: cerca solo articoli di questo
copertinista. Per esempio: @cover Alex
Ross
@artista, @editore, @titolo (mentre @cover rimane uguale!)
grammaticalmente simili (Man/Men ad esempio).
articoli presentanti negli ultimi 30 / 90 giorni mentre @mese a quelli
presentati nel mese in corso e @YEAR all'ultimo anno (inteso come "gli
ultimi 365 giorni).
codice a barre.

Part sketchbooks, part biography, part tutorial, part memoir—Hal Foster’s Prince Valiant Sketchbooks are an unprecedented revelation of Foster’s personal life and creative process during his final nine years on the strip, as well as a fascinating look behind the curtains as Foster coached and interacted with his chosen successor: John Cullen Murphy. Beautifully, meticulously designed and produced with the full participation of the Murphy family, this series is a testament to author and Prince Valiant historian Brian M. Kane’s research prowess and determination to bring Foster’s aesthetic and storytelling strategies to light. Over the course of these volumes, Kane annotates with painstaking clarity and thoroughness 366 penciled layout pages, 40-character sketches, and 577 text pages of Foster’s descriptions of each panel. Also featured are an additional 143 pieces of art, mostly by Foster, 100 photographs detailing his life and career, and 123 personal letters and notes, all adding immeasurably to this exploration of Foster’s life and art, as well as his collaboration with Murphy. Wendy Pini was born Wendy Fletcher in San Francisco. Growing up on an isolated ranch in Gilroy, California, Wendy's imagination was fueled by all forms of fantasy and mythology. At an early age she began spinning her own tales of elves, monkey-gods, aliens and sorcerers. While her artistic talents were influenced by of turn-of-the-century illustrators, film and TV animation, her storytelling abilities evolved from a love of Shakespeare, Japanese history and legend, modern fantasy and the epic poetry of the Ramayana. In 1977, a deeply personal project called ELFQUEST was born. As the first continuing fantasy/adventure graphic novel series in America to be co-created, written and illustrated by a woman, ELFQUEST became a phenomenon in the comics industry. Appealing to comics and sci-fi/fantasy fans alike, it attracted a unique and unprecedented audience, an equal mix of male and female readers. Over three million copies of the collected graphic novel volumes have been sold to date.Richard Pini was born in 1950, in New Haven, Connecticut. He attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), receiving a degree in astronomy and astrophysics. Always fan of science fiction, at college he found new diversion in comic books, and it was in the letters pages of “The Silver Surfer†in 1969 that he chanced upon a letter written by one Wendy Fletcher. A correspondence began, spanning a period of four years. The two eventually married in 1972, and Wendy embarked upon a career as an illustrator for sci-fi magazines. Richard’s degree in astronomy from MIT led Richard to a position at Boston’s Hayden Planetarium as lecturer, photographer, script writer, and special effects technician. In 2019, both Wendy and Richard were inducted into the Eisner Awards Hall of Fame for their lifetime achievements.

Archimedes Anderson’s first major cost-cutting initiative has gone spectacularly wrong. After defunding a remote Miyashi-Smith research facility, he’s stranded a team of scientists on an uninhabited island with a highly contagious virus that turns its victims’ worst impulses into violent compulsions. Armed with a killer drone, a handful of guns, and absolutely no idea what they’re doing, the team discovers the island isn’t quite as abandoned as they thought—and the infection may have spread far beyond the lab. From the twisted minds of Dan Watters (Nightwing; TMNT: Shredder) and Brian Level (Venom: Black, White & Blood) comes a comedic, sci-fi horror five-issue limited series that asks, “What if DOGE dismantled the X-Files unit"

Simon “Si†Spurrier writes comics, prose and TV.  His comic book projects run the gamut from mainstream-bothering fare like X-men, Flash and Hellblazer through to Eisner Award and Grand Prix D’Angouleme-nominated indie titles like Coda, Damn Them All and The Spire. He's the winner of a GLAAD Media Award for his work on Star Wars: Doctor Aphra.   Recent works include swamp-crime thriller The Voice Said Kill and weird-fi portal fantasy A Mischief Of Magpies. He lives by the seaside and is surprisingly good with a bow and arrow.  Christopher Mitten is originally from the cow-dappled expanse of southern Wisconsin, he now spends his time roaming the misty wilds of suburban Chicago, drawing little people in little boxes. In addition to Ignition, he has contributed work for Dark Horse, Oni Press, DC Comics, Image Comics, BOOM! Studios, Vertigo, Dynamite, 3 Worlds/3 Moons, Marvel Comics, Z2, IDW, Black Mask, Mad Cave, Gallery Books, Titan Comics, and Simon & Schuster. G. Willow Wilson is the Eisner Award-nominated author of the ongoing series Air and the graphic novel Cairo (both with artist M.K. Perker). Her first nonfiction book, which contains no pictures whatsoever, The Butterfly Mosque, was released in June 2010 from Grove/Atlantic. Besides being a critically acclaimed author, Wilson describes herself as a professional genre-bender, casual gamer and student of religion. Her phenomenal success with Ms. Marvel led her to a stint on X-Men and a collaboration with fellow writer Marguerite Bennett, together assembling Marvel’s female heroes into A-Force.Gleb Melnikov has worked on stories from DC Comics including Batman, Robin and Superman.

As both writer and artist, Archie Goodwin (d. 1998) got his start in comic strips and cartoons before moving to Warren Publishing’s Vampirella — and from there to Marvel, where he eventually succeeded Gerry Conway as editor in chief. He has been credited with saving Marvel from financial ruin, with Roy Thomas, by securing adaptation rights to the legendary Star Wars franchise, perceiving its potential long before later merchandisers. He also wrote comic-book adaptations of Alien, Blade Runner and other hit films. He created both Marvel’s Graphic Novel line and its Epic Comics imprint — where, as editor, he occasionally appeared in caricature as alien, elf or other. He also edited early English translations of the Akira series and the works of Moebius. At DC Comics, he guided the destinies of Batman and Starman; one of his most memorable bodies of work was his collaboration with Walter Simonson on the “Manhunter†backup feature in Detective Comics, which won five Shazam Awards.Following Golden Age work at Marvel predecessor Timely Comics — as well as at Fawcett, Hillman and others — Carmine Infantino (d. 2013) made history at DC Comics, helping usher in the industry’s Silver Age with the reintroduction of the Flash, within whose title he cocreated the Elongated Man and several members of the hero’s famed Rogues’ Gallery. His 1961 story “Flash of Two Worlds,†which literally reshaped the DC Universe by introducing the Earth-1/Earth-2 concept, won Infantino two of his eventual 12 Alley Awards. After serving as DC’s art director and publisher, Infantino returned to penciling on several titles; for Marvel, he provided notable runs on Nova, Spider-Woman and Star Wars, along with brief stints on Daredevil, Ghost Rider and Iron Man. He also drew Superman vs. the Amazing Spider-Man, the historic first Marvel/DC crossover.
