esempio: @author Stan Lee
esempio: @artist John Romita
Jr.
@cover copertinista: cerca solo articoli di questo
copertinista. Per esempio: @cover Alex
Ross
@artista, @editore, @titolo (mentre @cover rimane uguale!)
grammaticalmente simili (Man/Men ad esempio).
articoli presentanti negli ultimi 30 / 90 giorni mentre @mese a quelli
presentati nel mese in corso e @YEAR all'ultimo anno (inteso come "gli
ultimi 365 giorni).
codice a barre.
Growing up in Tulsa, Oklahoma, writer Allan Heinberg spent his childhood watching such super-hero staples as TV’s Superfriends and the ’60s Batman. As an adult, his writing career took him to Los Angeles, where he got his break writing for the Tea Leoni sitcom The Naked Truth on NBC. His success on the show led to work on a number of top-rated series — including Party of Five, Sex and the City and Gilmore Girls. He wrote and produced The O.C., a blockbuster dramatic series that showcased Heinberg’s interest in comic books and his admiration for many contemporary comics creators through the show’s main character. Heinberg’s love of the Marvel Universe as evidenced on The O.C. attracted the attention of Marvel Comics’ then-Editor in Chief Joe Quesada, who invited the TV writer to develop his first Marvel project, Young Avengers. The series was an unexpected critical and commercial hit that was nominated for Best New Series in both the Eisner and Harvey awards, in addition to earning an Eisner nomination for Heinberg as Best Writer. Young Avengers also won a GLAAD Media Award for its intelligent and thoughtful handling of gay characters on an ongoing basis. Heinberg has also written a relaunch of DC’s Wonder Woman and a JLA story arc with Geoff Johns, and served as screenwriter for the 2017 Wonder Woman movie. On TV, he has served as writer, executive producer, co-executive producer, consulting producer and creative consultant on Grey’s Anatomy.Artist Jim Cheung began his association with Marvel Comics in the 1990s, drawing titles such as Black Knight, Force Works, Iron Man, Maverick and an extensive run on X-Force. He also did popular work on the CrossGen series Scion. In 2005, Cheung launched the critically acclaimed Young Avengers with writer Allan Heinberg. He went on to illustrate New Avengers: Illuminati with writer Brian Michael Bendis, and reunited with Heinberg and their signature Young Avengers characters in Avengers: The Children’s Crusade. Cheung’s modern-yet-classic style has made him highly sought-after for covers and event series, including contributions to Infinity, Avengers & X-Men: Axis and Civil War II.Artist Olivier Coipel caught the eyes of Avengers fans with his work in a series of startlingly fresh and exciting stories in 2004, then delivered a star turn on the 2005 blockbuster limited series House of M. Proving his mettle with the grand splendor and huge cast of a Marvel epic, he earned the plum assignment of restoring the hallowed halls of Asgard to grandeur in J. Michael Straczynski’s Thor. Again called on to illustrate a Marvel mega-event, Coipel reunited with House of M writer Brian Michael Bendis on Siege. His subsequent credits include returns to the world of the Thunder God, as well as contributions to Amazing Spider-Man, X-Men and Avengers vs. X-Men.

All Ages
Writer/editor Stan Lee (1922-2018) made comic-book history together with Jack Kirby in 1961 with Fantastic Four #1. The monumental popularity of its new style inspired Lee to develop similarly themed characters — including the Hulk and X-Men with Kirby, Spider-Man and Doctor Strange with Steve Ditko, and Daredevil with Bill Everett. After shepherding his creations through dozens of issues — in some cases a hundred or more — Lee allowed other writers to take over, but he maintained steady editorial control. Eventually, he helped expand Marvel into a multimedia empire. In recent years, his frequent cameo appearances in Marvel’s films established Lee as one of the world’s most famous faces.Roy Thomas joined the Marvel Bullpen as a writer and editor under Stan Lee, scripting key runs of nearly every title of the time: Amazing Spider-Man, Avengers, Daredevil, Doctor Strange, Sub-Mariner, Thor, X-Men and more. He wrote the first 10 years of Marvel’s Conan the Barbarian and Savage Sword of Conan; and launched such series as Defenders, Iron Fist, Invaders and Warlock. At DC, he developed All-Star Squadron, Infinity Inc. and related titles, proving instrumental in reviving the Golden Age Justice Society of America. Thomas later became editor of Alter Ego, a magazine devoted to comic-book history, and co-scripted the sword-and-sorcery films Fire and Ice and Conan the Destroyer. As both writer and artist, Archie Goodwin (d. 1998) got his start in comic strips and cartoons before moving to Warren Publishing’s Vampirella — and from there to Marvel, where he eventually succeeded Gerry Conway as editor in chief. He has been credited with saving Marvel from financial ruin, with Roy Thomas, by securing adaptation rights to the legendary Star Wars franchise, perceiving its potential long before later merchandisers. He also wrote comic-book adaptations of Alien, Blade Runner and other hit films. He created both Marvel’s Graphic Novel line and its Epic Comics imprint — where, as editor, he occasionally appeared in caricature as alien, elf or other. He also edited early English translations of the Akira series and the works of Moebius. At DC Comics, he guided the destinies of Batman and Starman; one of his most memorable bodies of work was his collaboration with Walter Simonson on the “Manhunter†backup feature in Detective Comics, which won five Shazam Awards.Guaranteed immortality for introducing Johnny Blaze, the Ghost Rider, Gary Friedrich also played a pivotal role in Marvel’s 1970s Western and war comics, penning memorable tales of Sgt. Fury and launching the Marine series Captain Savage. In addition, Friedrich wrote issues of Incredible Hulk, Captain America, Captain Marvel, Daredevil, X-Men and more. With Steve Ditko, he co-created Charlton’s Blue Beetle, now a DC character. With Len Brown, he has written a series of books on popular music.Arnold Drake (1924-2007) helped shape the Silver Age both at Marvel with Captain Marvel and X-Men; and at DC with Batman, Doom Patrol and “Stanley and His Monster.†His media tie-in work ranged from Star Trek to Bob Hope and Jerry Lewis. He wrote, produced and directed the 1964 horror film The Flesh Eaters, and wrote lyrics for several musicals. He won 1967 Alley Awards for Best Full-Length Story and Best New Strip (both for Deadman in Strange Adventures), as well as the Bill Finger Award for Excellence in Comics Writing. The unique, shadowy style of Gene Colan (1926-2011) most memorably appeared in long stints on Captain America and Daredevil, and all 70 issues of Tomb of Dracula — among the dozens of other Marvel titles he has drawn. His DC work on Detective Comics and Night Force is equally well remembered. During the Golden Age, he drew multiple war stories for Marvel and DC alike. Colan has earned several Eagle Awards and had professional art showings in New York City. His work on Ed Brubaker’s Captain America at the age of 82 drew well-deserved raves. An unparalleled talent, Bill Everett created Prince Namor, the Sub-Mariner, comics’ original anti-hero, whose ongoing adventures set the bar for sophisticated comic-book serials. Equally as skilled at illustrating horror and war comics, Everett continued as one of Timely’s top artists until 1957. Once the Marvel Age kicked off, Stan Lee brought Everett back into the fold to co-create Daredevil and return once more to his signature creation, the Sub-Mariner.John Buscema (1927-2002) literally wrote the book on being a Marvel artist — namely, How To Draw Comics the Marvel Way — and few were better qualified. His career dated back to the Timely/Atlas era of the late ’40s and early ’50s. Soon after beginning the Marvel Age of Comics, Stan Lee recruited Buscema from the advertising field to the Marvel Bullpen. Buscema followed a long run on Avengers with the long-anticipated first Silver Surfer series. He subsequently succeeded Jack Kirby on Fantastic Four, Thor and other titles. By the time of his retirement in 1996, Buscema had penciled nearly every Marvel title — including his personal favorite, Conan the Barbarian.During the 1960s, when males dominated the industry, Marie Severin earned the respect of her peers with her seemingly limitless talents in every facet of comic-book production — from penciling to inking to lettering to coloring. Her earliest recorded work was for EC Comics in 1949, and she went on to contribute coloring across the famous publisher’s line before moving to Marvel’s predecessor Atlas Comics. In the Silver Age of comics, Severin made her mark in the Bullpen, drawing the adventures of Doctor Strange and becoming the company’s head colorist before going on to concentrate on penciling. Her extensive contribution to Marvel across a wide array of titles includes providing the original design for Spider-Woman. Severin was inducted into the Will Eisner Comics Hall of Fame in 2001.Dan Adkins (1937-2013) worked on comic books and science-fiction magazines from an early age; as the Silver Age of comics dawned, he joined the Wally Wood Studio as Wood’s assistant, their collaborations including stories in such titles as Creepy and Eerie. Adkins arrived at Marvel in 1967 and worked primarily as an inker on an array of titles, including an extensive run on Conan the Barbarian. He also penciled the adventures of Doctor Strange, Ka-Zar and others. Also famed for his cover paintings, Adkins was inducted into the Joe Sinnott Hall of Fame in the Inkwell Awards of 2019.Born Jacob Kurtzberg in 1917 to Jewish-Austrian parents on New York’s Lower East Side, Jack Kirby came of age at the birth of the American comic book industry. Beginning his career during the rising tide of Nazism, Kirby and fellow artist Joe Simon created the patriotic hero Captain America. Cap’s exploits on the comic book page entertained millions of American readers at home and inspired U.S. troops fighting the enemy abroad. When World War II ended, the public’s interest in super heroes waned; Kirby turned his artistic talents during the 1950s to other genres, such as monsters, Westerns and crime — as well as the first-of-its-kind Young Romance Comics. In 1961, Kirby returned to super heroes to illustrate what would become the defining issue in Marvel Comics history: Fantastic Four #1. Written by Stan Lee, the team’s debut revolutionized the industry overnight. In contrast to the staid artwork of his predecessors, Kirby’s illustrations seemed to leap off the page with eye-popping action and drama. For the next decade, Kirby and Lee would introduce a mind-boggling array of new characters — including the Avengers, the Hulk, Thor, Iron Man, the Silver Surfer and the X-Men. Taken together, Kirby’s groundbreaking work with Lee formed the foundation of the Marvel Universe. In the early 1970s, Kirby moved to DC Comics, where his boundless creativity continued. He returned to Marvel in 1975, writing and illustrating Captain America and introducing his final major concept, the Eternals. With the explosion of TV animation during the 1980s, Kirby’s talents turned to the small screen. Comic fans quickly recognized his work on such series as Thundarr the Barbarian and Turbo Teen. Kirby died in 1994, but his influence on the comic book industry is as strong as ever. His work has inspired a generation of professional artists and modern writers who continue to explore his vast universe of concepts and characters. The industry lost an icon with the passing of Tom Sutton (1937-2002), best remembered as the original artist of the cult-classic icon Vampirella. Having begun his career with the comic strip Johnny Craig and contributions to underground comics, Sutton worked in multiple genres at Marvel — including Western (Kid Colt Outlaw, Rawhide Kid), humor (Arrgh, Crazy, Not Brand Ecch), super heroes (Doctor Strange, Ghost Rider), and the licensed Planet of the Apes titles. During a run on Amazing Adventures, he and writer Steve Englehart revamped the X-Men’s Beast into his better-known furry form. Moving to DC Comics, he penciled nearly every issue of the 1984-1988 series Star Trek and, with J.M. DeMatteis, co-created “I, Vampire†for House of Mystery before returning to Marvel to pencil a Man-Thing serial in Marvel Comics Presents. Sutton’s additional body of work includes art for Charlton Comics, Eros Comics, First Comics and Skywald Publications. In 1976, Ross Andru (1927-1993) made comic-book history by penciling the first large-scale intercompany crossover, Superman vs. the Amazing Spider-Man, having spent years illustrating both characters in various titles. He also made Marvel history in Marvel Feature, drawing the Defenders’ first appearance. At DC, he spent nine years collaborating with Bob Kanigher on Wonder Woman. With Marv Wolfman and Mike Esposito, he co-created Vigilante (Adrian Chase).

Peter Milligan was at the forefront of the 1990s “British Invasion,” introducing a revolutionary new breed of comic books for an adult audience. His Eisner Award-nominated DC/Vertigo series Shade the Changing Man offered a satirical look at American culture from the point of view of an alien visitor from another dimension. Enigma cemented Milligan’s reputation for unparalleled weirdness, and Human Target’s sharp deconstruction of the action-movie paradigm demonstrated his versatility. But the critically acclaimed Marvel series X-Force (later X-Statix), with its unique interpretation of the mutant condition, stands as perhaps his most popular work. His other Marvel credits include X-Men, Sub-Mariner: The Depths and 5 Ronin.Mark Millar is the New York Times best-selling writer of Wanted, the Kick-Ass series, The Secret Service, Jupiter’s Legacy, Nemesis, Superior, Supercrooks, American Jesus, MPH and Starlight. Wanted, Kick-Ass, Kick-Ass 2 and The Secret Service (as Kingsman: The Secret Service) have been adapted into feature films. His DC Comics work includes the seminal Superman: Red Son. At Marvel Comics, he has written The Ultimates, selected by Time magazine as the comic book of the decade; the acclaimed Wolverine saga “Old Man Logan;” and Civil War, the industry’s biggest-selling series in almost two decades. Millar has served as producer and executive producer on previous adaptations of his works and, following the purchase of his Millarworld comic line by Netflix in 2017, remains the company’s president. For his services to film and literature, he received the prestigious honor of being made a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) by the Queen in 2013.Working in a unique style, Clayton Crain notably came into the public eye with the release of the Garth Ennis-written limited series Ghost Rider: Road to Damnation, followed by Ghost Rider: Trail of Tears. Following a well-received stint on Sensational Spider-Man, Crain helped relaunch X-Force with writers Craig Kyle and Chris Yost, redesigning the team for a new millennium. He has inimitably rendered the sinister, symbiotic foes of Spider-Man to great acclaim in Venom vs. Carnage and Carnage.Artist Terry Dodson broke into Marvel Comics with Storm, a four-issue series with writer Warren Ellis focusing on the longtime X-Man. After a stint on the X-Men teen spinoff series Generation X, Dodson helped writer Karl Kesel launch Harley Quinn for DC Comics, starring the Joker’s deadly female sidekick. Following the completion of writer Mark Millar’s Marvel Knights Spider-Man, Dodson again collaborated with Millar on the EA video game Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects. Following runs on Uncanny X-Men and Defenders with writer Matt Fraction, Dodson remains one of the most popular artists in the field, a status he attributes in large part to the contributions of his wife, Rachel, who adds her talented inking to much of Terry’s work.

The official behind-the-scenes companion to the Emmy, WGA, SAG, Golden Globe, and BAFTA–Award nominated Disney+ seriesThe Art of Star Wars: Andor (The Complete Series) gives readers an exclusive inside look at the production art, visual development, concept art, creature designs and FX, graphics, props, and more that went into creating the Tony Gilroy helmed Disney+ series.Through extensive interviews with Gilroy, star Diego Luna, and the talented Lucasfilm visualists, author Phil Szostak documents every step of Andor’s production from discussions following the initial release of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story up through post-production on the final episodes of season two. With deep dives into the locations that defined the series, including Kenari, Ferrix, Aldhani, Narkina 5, Mina-Rau, Ghorman, and Yavin 4, among many others, this essential volume celebrates the legacy of all twenty-four critically acclaimed episodes and the hurdles the filmmakers, cast, and crew had to overcome to bring their vision to life.Every facet and detail of the Rebellion and Empire’s inner workings and the day-to-day existence within the world of Star Wars that Andor lovingly depicted are explored in great detail along with reflections on the series overall and its espionage roots and political relevance. The lived-in, battered costumes, ships, and locales that are so crucial to the DNA of Star Wars are on full display in this volume alongside the elegant formalism of the Galactic Senate and Coruscant.Every piece of concept art—from ISB uniforms to Ferrix workwear to sleek speeders to the sterile prison cells of Narkina 5—has a tactility that leaps off the page. Cassian Andor’s journey from thief to spy to rebel to martyr, and the stories of his allies, uneasy partnerships, Imperial schemes, and galactic revolution took audiences on an emotionally resonant adventure and The Art of Star Wars: Andor spotlights the exceptional work that made it all possible. Dan Slott has built a loyal fan base by combining old-school fun with stories and characterizations friendly to new readers. Following his run on She-Hulk, Slott moved into the upper echelon of Marvel writers, launching Avengers: The Initiative and taking the reins on Mighty Avengers from Brian Michael Bendis. When Marvel gave Spider-Man a fresh start in 2008, Slott was one of several rotating writers on the thrice-monthly Amazing Spider-Man. Slott became the writer most closely identified with the web-slinger’s “Brand New Day” era, and the title hit the “Big Time” when he took over as full-time writer for a decade-long run. Slott has also turned his talents to other iconic Marvel heroes — including soaring the spaceways with Silver Surfer; helming Tony Stark: Iron Man toward Iron Man 2020; and masterminding the glorious return of Fantastic Four, leading to his long-awaited “Reckoning War.” In 2022, Slott made his way back to the Spider-Verse, teaming with legendary penciler Mark Bagley on Spider-Man and introducing the sidekick sensation Spider-Boy. Christos Gage sold his first screenplay in 1997 and has been working steadily ever since; he started writing comics in 2004 with DC’s Deadshot miniseries, featuring the sharpshooting antihero from Suicide Squad. He then began co-writing Avengers: The Initiative with Dan Slott, which led to him becoming the sole writer on the book and its successor, Avengers Academy. His additional Marvel credits include Civil War: Casualties of War, House of M: Avengers, Iron Man, Union Jack and World War Hulk: X-Men, as well as a prominent run on X-Men: Legacy.Fred Van Lente has been a comics fan as long as he can remember, initially hooked by his father’s copy of Jules Feiffer’s landmark anthology The Great Comic Book Heroes. Van Lente joined Syracuse University’s comic-book club and met artist Steve Ellis, with whom he created indie super-crime comic The Silencers. That work got noticed by Marvel, where Van Lente was soon hired and introduced a heroic new Scorpion in Amazing Fantasy. Since then, the versatile Van Lente’s many Marvel assignments have included three New York Times-best-selling entries in the Marvel Zombies series, as well as Amazing Spider-Man, Incredible Hercules, X-Men Noir, Iron Man Legacy, Chaos War, Herc and Alpha Flight.Artist Giuseppe Camuncoli made his Marvel Comics debut in 2002 on Spider-Man’s Tangled Web. His subsequent Marvel credits include the limited series X-Infernus, which re-established Illyana Rasputin as a central character in the X-Universe. He later helped launch Wolverine’s son into his own title with Daken: Dark Wolverine, and teamed with writer Dan Slott on Amazing Spider-Man and Superior Spider-Man. Camuncoli illustrated the entire 25-issue run of writer Charles Soule’s Star Wars: Darth Vader.Artist Humberto Ramos made his American comics debut in 1994 with DC’s Impulse, featuring the Flash’s brash grandson. In 1998, Ramos launched the creator-owned Crimson under Wildstorm’s Cliffhanger imprint, illustrating the title for more than two years. He then moved to Marvel, becoming one of the most recognizable and innovative talents in comics. Seamlessly blending both Eastern and Western styles, the artist’s artist has worked on many of Marvel’s most iconic characters — including Spider-Man, Wolverine and the X-Men — in addition to a run on the fan-favorite Runaways. Ramos brought his kinetic artwork to the pages of Extraordinary X-Men and Champions, as well as a magical collaboration with Skottie Young on Strange Academy. The pencils of Ryan Stegman first gained rave reviews in the Marvel adaptation of Raymond E. Feist’s Magician Apprentice and Riftwar. The popularity of his work there led to assignments on Incredible Hulk, Marvel Adventures Spider-Man, Incredible Hercules and She-Hulks. With writer Christopher Yost, he launched a new incarnation of Scarlet Spider; with Dan Slott, he shocked fans with Superior Spider-Man; and with Gerry Conway, he offered a different take on the wall-crawler and his family in Amazing Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows. Stegman’s other Marvel credits include Wolverine, Inhuman and Uncanny Avengers as well as his smash-hit run on Venom.Italian illustrator Stefano Caselli broke into American comics during the early 2000s with work on titles including Marvel’s Mutant X and Thunderbolts. He enhanced his reputation on series such as Avengers: The Initiative, Secret Warriors and Avengers Assemble before playing a key role in the rotating art team on Dan Slott’s Amazing Spider-Man and joining Jonathan Hickman on Avengers. Caselli collaborated with Brian Michael Bendis on a groundbreaking Invincible Iron Man run featuring Riri Williams as a new armored hero, and joined Gerry Duggan on the seafaring X-series Marauders.

After early assignments on Kickers Inc. and Cloak and Dagger, Terry Kavanagh wrote Web of Spider-Man for years — spinning a hero he introduced in those pages, Nightwatch, into his own title. In addition to runs on Marc Spector: Moon Knight, X-Man and various mutant titles, he wrote Avengers, Iron Man and several tie-in one-shots during the controversial “Crossing” storyline. His miniseries work includes Before the Fantastic Four: The Storms, Fury/Agent 13, Black Cat and Rise of Apocalypse. He teamed Marvel heroes with UItraverse heroes in Exiles vs. X-Men and Ultraforce/Avengers Prelude. In addition to runs on Fantastic Four and Thor, original Moon Knight scribe Doug Moench specialized in writing features outside the Marvel mainstream — including Adventure into Fear’s Morbius, Frankenstein, Inhumans, Ka-Zar: Lord of the Hidden Jungle, Master of Kung Fu, Werewolf by Night and Astonishing Tales’ Deathlok. Proving his eclectic abilities, he also wrote the full run of Godzilla, most of Shogun Warriors and stories for virtually every Marvel black-and-white magazine of the 1970s. He expanded on his Star-Lord and Weirdworld sagas in multiple anthology titles. At DC, he wrote memorable runs on Batman, Detective Comics and Legends of the Dark Knight — along with numerous Batman one-shots, cross-company crossovers and Elseworlds sagas. He further contributed such short-lived but unique series as Electric Warrior, Lords of the Ultra-Realm, Slash Maraud, Wanderers and Xenobrood.Versatile artist James Fry proved himself equally at home illustrating the grim-and-gritty ’90s vigilantism of Moon Knight and Nomad as he was the cartoonish adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog — so it’s little wonder he was chosen to depict a character that combines the two extremes, in Marvel’s Slapstick limited series.Stephen Platt’s work bringing the Marc Spector: Moon Knight series to a close helped propel him to stardom in the artist-fueled comics boom of the 1990s. Platt rode the wave of success to Image Comics, illustrating Rob Liefeld’s Prophet series and his creator-owned series Soul Saga. He went on to become a sought-after concept artist, working on film projects including Blade: Trinity and Marvel Studios’ Iron Man.
