esempio: @author Stan Lee
esempio: @artist John Romita
Jr.
@cover copertinista: cerca solo articoli di questo
copertinista. Per esempio: @cover Alex
Ross
@artista, @editore, @titolo (mentre @cover rimane uguale!)
grammaticalmente simili (Man/Men ad esempio).
articoli presentanti negli ultimi 30 / 90 giorni mentre @mese a quelli
presentati nel mese in corso e @YEAR all'ultimo anno (inteso come "gli
ultimi 365 giorni).
codice a barre.

A good old fashioned underground comic for our current times: a heady bouillabaisse of humor, philosophy, profanity, absurdism, and existentialism. From the pen of multi-talented indie musician (Islands, Unicorns) and cartoonist (Penguins) Nick Thorburn comes this perfect object of the comic book form. A 64-page color one-shot menagerie of interconnected comic strips that smartly channels the tradition of underground comix. Find out why those smarty pants at The Believer magazine say, "Thorburn makes sharp social commentary through a series of dark humor vignettes that revolve around macabre body horror, dalliances into the absurd, and the sociopolitical intricacies of human existence." The classic Gundam series now in a premium Deluxe Edition hardcover!PRAISE FOR THE NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLING SERIES“It’s a good book. Very good, actually. Very good war comics, requiring no prior experience with anime or mecha or Gundam—just a well-made, old-fashioned war comic, full of thrills and spills and lucky breaks and narrow escapes and preening villains you’ll love to hate and pigheaded heroes you may hate to love, and expert drawings by a master craftsman, and hard, sturdy violence.” —Joe McCulloch, The Comics Journal “One of the best drawn and told manga works of recent memory… If you want to understand the fuss around the original Gundam, or even read one of the better manga works out there, then Gundam: The Origin is definitely worth checking out.” —Ollie Barder, Forbes “WINNER: BEST MANGA [2013] This manga was penned by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko—and who better to handle the transformation of the show from screen to page than the man who had key roles in the original series, from character design, to illustration, to layout?” —NEO Magazine (U.K.)“Yasuhiko’s work is just really strong throughout. Fights between mobile suits are exciting, and manage to stay clear despite an impressive amount of detail… These releases deserve as much love as was put into them.”—Joseph Luster, Otaku USA “While it goes without saying that Gundam fans should enjoy these books, they are also a good read for those who simply like a science fiction or a war story that is well-written, nicely illustrated, and full of interesting characters… [S]eriously good literary entertainment.” —Anime News Network “No real knowledge or understanding of the original MSG is needed… What follows are hundreds of pages of suspenseful war drama and sci-fi explosiveness, all of which is well and good (seriously good, actually; this is an intensely fun sci-fi epic), but it’s the visuals that you are truly getting this book for.” —Graphic Novel Reporter “A compelling coming-of-age story. It spins personal and political drama together in a way that is both engaging and satisfying… This is a series you will want to put into a teen’s hands, even if they don’t know it yet. Once they start reading, they won’t want to put it down.” —School Library Journal Blog Network The storied Gundam franchise’s “First Season” that set new standards of verisimilitude for televised sci-fi animation returns in comics form at the hand of one of the initial creators! The definitive account expands on the classic narrative with the same sense of purpose that lit up the screen more than four decades ago. This new edition collects the original bestselling twelve-installment English release into six oversized volumes. Reading Dracula at age twelve introduced MIKE MIGNOLA to folklore and Victorian supernatural literature, from which he has never recovered. He began working as a comic book artist in 1982, working for both Marvel and DC Comics before creating Hellboy, published by Dark Horse Comics in 1994. What began as a single comic-book series would eventually expand to a “Hellboy Universe” of related graphic novels, prose novels, short story anthologies, and both animated andlive action films. He also wrote and drew The Amazing Screw-On Head and Other Curious Objects. He has co-written novels with Christopher Golden (Baltimore, or, The Steadfast Tin Soldier and the Vampire) and Thomas Sniegoski (Grim Death and Bill the Electrocuted Criminal), worked with Francis Ford Coppola on Bram Stoker’s Dracula, was a production designer on Disney’s Atlantis: The Lost Empire, and visualconsultant to Guillermo del Toro on Blade II, Hellboy, and Hellboy II: The Golden Army. A new Hellboy film directed by Neil Marshall was released in 2019. Mike’s comics and graphic novels have earned numerous awards and are published in a great manycountries. He lives in Southern California with his wife and a very demanding cat.JOHN ARCUDI has been telling lies since he was a boy. Eventually it became clear that this was the only thing he was any good at. After a stint writing for Marvel, he ended up at Dark Horse, where he wrote, among other things, The Mask. John is best known as cocreator of Major Bummer and A God Somewhere, both for DC Comics, and collaborating with Mike Mignola. Recent work includes his original seriesRumble at Image and Dead Inside at Dark Horse, as well as Mike Mignola’s Lobster Johnson and Crimson Lotus, also at Dark Horse.TONCI ZONJIC is known for his interior and cover work on titles such as Lobster Johnson, Skulldigger + Skeleton Boy (both at Dark Horse), Who Is Jake Ellis? (Image), Heralds (Marvel), and others, as well as working as a costume concept artist on Disney and Lucasfilm’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Solo: A Star Wars Story.JOE QUERIO began a brief stint in comics with an incredible opportunity to work with his favorite creator, Mike Mignola: a Lobster Johnson story for Dark Horse Presents titled “Tony Masso’s Finest Hour”. Joe’s next break was on the Witcher series, illustrating House of Glass and Fox Children. However, between Witcher volumes, Joe got the chance to work once more with Mignola and the incredibleJohn Arcudi on The Broken Equation, which became the highlight of Joe’s illustrating career. He’s forever thankful for the opportunity to contribute to a universe that truly made him feel like a kid again.KEVIN NOWLAN, artist, colorist, letterer, and cover artist, has been working in the comics industry since the 1980s with many publishers, including Marvel, DC, and Dark Horse, working on stories in Abe Sapien, Hellboy, and Lobster Johnson. Romero’s Night of the Living Dead and Alan Moore’s Hypothetical Lizard, among others, for Avatar Press. He went on to work for Marvel on Marvel Illustrated: The Picture of Dorian Gray, Thor: The Trials of Loki, and X-Factor. At Dark Horse, he has worked on Lobster Johnson and became the regular artist on Abe Sapien: Dark and Terrible alongside his brother Max. At DC, he has worked on Superboy, and Mystery in Space, followed by Superman and All-Star Batman. He returned to the Hellboy universe working on the final cycle of B.P.R.D.: The Devil You Know.WILFREDO TORRES has worked extensively with Dark Horse in both Mike Mignola’s Hellboy universe (Lobster Johnson) and Jeff Lemire’s Black Hammer universe (The Quantum Age) and on BANG! with Matt Kindt. He has also worked on I (DC), Legion (Marvel), Mark Millar’s Jupiter’s Circle (Image), and most recently, Superman `78 (DC).DAVE STEWART was born on the high desert to the chatter of a rattlesnake. Despite a rare case of Sasquatch leg and the desire to run with any northbound moose migration, he found the coloring arts were a suitable profession, allowing him to build a moonshine still in the hills of Southwest Portland. His coloring garnered him industry awards, unlike his feverish gathering of dry leaves for winter bedding. And he colors on.

What if it was Ellie who went UP to Paradise Falls? Adventure is out there in this tale inspired by Disney*Pixar's Up from the New York Times bestselling series that reimagines beloved Disney films in new ways!Sixteen-year-old Ellie McGill is fed up. Sure, for some, life in small town Americana is idyllic. Nothing but picket fences and USO dances and holiday parades. But Ellie has long dreamed of towering mountains, tangled jungles, and most of all…traveling to the incredible South American landmark, Paradise Falls. Ellie thought these dreams made her strange, until she met her sweet best friend Carl (when he promptly broke his leg in her clubhouse). Carl is Ellie’s closest confidante. He’s also the only one able to talk her off a ledge. But things between them seem weird lately as Ellie grows increasingly frustrated with his quiet way of doing things. And is it just her, or are there new feelings bubbling up between them? Then Ellie begins her dream internship at the local zoo, where the flashy millionaire owner organizes an expedition to Paradise Falls to collect new specimens. But the star newcomer, a bird given to him by Charles Muntz himself, doesn’t adjust well to his new home and Ellie is put in charge of its seemingly hopeless recovery. Carl advises Ellie to lay low, to not make waves. But that’s not something Ellie has ever been good at. And when an opportunity comes for a last minute, emergency rescue mission, she decides to take it. Will Ellie’s impulsiveness finally get the better of her? Or will she get the adventure she always wanted . . . and at what cost?
Liz Braswell spent her childhood reading fairy tales and going on adventures with her cat in the forest. She majored in Egyptology at Brown University (and, yes, she can write your name in hieroglyphs). After spending the next ten years producing video games, Liz began her career as a full-time writer with a retelling of Snow White called Snow, followed by Rx and the Nine Lives of Chloe King series. She is also the author of Stuffed, Stuffed 2: Into Darkness, and several Twisted Tales, including A Whole New World, Once Upon a Dream, As Old as Time, Straight On Till Morning, Unbirthday, and What Once Was Mine. The New York Times best-selling author lives in Brooklyn with a husband, two children, a cat, and four coffee trees—one of which has already produced a rather tolerable espresso.

Brimming with mystery and magic, this new stand-alone prequel to the Descendants series stars the original class of Disney’s best-loved Villain Kids. Before their Descendants rocked the world, the baddest villains made waves in the classroom. It’s the first day at Merlin Academy, and the new students have no idea what to expect. Hook hopes he’ll get closer to the legacy he was destined for. Hades is determined to impress the already-infamous Maleficent. Uliana recruits Morgie to do some hands-on spellwork so they’re not stuck at a desk all day. And Ella’s not sure where she fits in to all this magical royalty and villainy. Luckily, her new friend Bridget’s got her back. The one thing they have in common? They’re all intrigued when headmaster Merlin transforms the school’s fountain into the Sword in the Stone. A challenge is issued: pull Excalibur from the rock and a life-changing prize awaits. But when Merlin and the famed Sword in the Stone vanish, all eyes narrow in on the Villains. Typical. It doesn’t help their image when classes are constantly interrupted by wayward magic and a powerful, ancient spell book goes missing. Amidst secrets and accusations, will the students find Merlin and have a chance at that life-changing prize? Or will their time at Merlin Academy be over before it's even begun?
