Batman is on the descent, presumably from Catwoman, in this dizzying image taken from Batman: The Animated Series, produced by Alan Bennett, Paul Dini, and Bruce Timm. Traces of what gives Gotham City its distinctive darkness is found in this piece's background, such as the perilously tall buildings and the blood-red nighttime background. The serigraphy process used here involves silk-screening each individual color to the cel, one at a time. Every distinct shade is a separate screen and pass, flawlessly reproducing each color. This dimensional sericel includes two cels and a background designed to be framed with a small space between each layer.
