esempio: @author Stan Lee
esempio: @artist John Romita
Jr.
@cover copertinista: cerca solo articoli di questo
copertinista. Per esempio: @cover Alex
Ross
@artista, @editore, @titolo (mentre @cover rimane uguale!)
grammaticalmente simili (Man/Men ad esempio).
articoli presentanti negli ultimi 30 / 90 giorni mentre @mese a quelli
presentati nel mese in corso e @YEAR all'ultimo anno (inteso come "gli
ultimi 365 giorni).
codice a barre.

John Romita Sr is as synonymous with Marvel as is Stan Lee. Stan was definitely the writer and visionary of the Marvel Universe, but Jazzy John was the ultimate catcher to all of Stan's pitches. Arguably the most important contributor to Marvel canon with Jack Kirby, and arguably the definitive Spider-Man artist, John Romita has left his mark creating, defining and/or designing some of Marvel's most, well, marvelous characters. From being (in our humble opinion) the definitive Spider-Man artist to helping design many of Marvel's major characters from Wolverine and the Punisher to Spider-Woman, The Kingpin and so many more. And, though it was Stan Lee and Steve Ditko who co-created Spider-Man and Peter Parker, and helped us love the boy with the problems we all grew up with, it was Jazzy John who allowed Peter to grow up and have the same problems many had growing up, and glamorized Peter Parker and rounded out his stable of characters from Gwen Stacy and Harry Osborne, and who also gave us the unbelievable entrance by Mary Jane Watson, showing us just how Peter had hit the jackpot! And John Romita Jr. has also created a rich body of work that few can follow in his feet. Having outgrown the shadow of his father early in his career, John Romita Jr. has shown the world why he is 'Mr. Marvel'. From his early days working with Bob Layton on the Iron Man issues featuring the controversial issues of Tony Stark's alcoholism, to his jump to stardom in the early '90's on the Uncanny X-Men (almost a decade after his first stint on the Uncanny X-Men with Chris Claremont), to his unbelievable work on Daredevil: Man Without Fear with Frank Miller and Al Williamson, John proved that he was one of only a few artists who can shine working with a master such as Frank Miller. Moving in to the new millennium, John's work on Thor was nothing short of amazing, as well as working on Daredevil with Ann Nocenti and Al Williamson. But nothing has been more tailor made for John Jr's art than Marvel's flagship title - Spider-Man! His return on Peter Parker, Spider-Man proved that he was Marvel's best choice for a Spider-Man artist, and when Joe Michael Straczynski took hold of Marvel's flagship title, it was John Jr's art that made the great stories shine as well as they did! One thing that's kept John's art fresh is his ability to move from character to character. It definitely is bitter sweet to see John run around the Marvel Universe on characters such as The Eternals (with Neil Gaiman), proving that once again, John Jr. is the artists artist who can tackle such great projects, and even on his run on the World War Hulk (yes, Hulk does indeed Smash!), one is mesmerized by his incredible artwork. What's amazing is, that as of this writing, John Romita Jr. will be returning to Amazing Spider-Man #568, and this fan, Nick Barrucci, President of Dynamic Forces, feels the excitement and energy to his return. These are the things that we live for in comics. It's rare to know when a series is going to be great because a great artist is working on it. We are fortunate to be on the ground floor, again, but the anticipation is something that will only be quenched with the first read of a series that will be great. The Romitas are one of the few royal families in comics. If you haven't had a chance to fully appreciate their work, here's your chance. It's a fun ride. I hope you enjoy it as much as we have in putting this book together! With an introduction by Alex Ross and an afterword by Stan 'The Man' Lee, this hard cover book is perfect for every Spider-Man fan young and old! (immagine) Categoria: Books: novel/sci fi/horror

A KOTOBUKIYA Japanese Import! The beautiful heroine and fan favorite of the Sengoku Rance series returns in the new 4-Leaves 'Legends Girls' series, recognizing and celebrating classic Japanese manga and anime heroines in definitive versions. That's right, SILL PLAIN is back, this time appearing as she did in Sengoku Rance VI! The former slave and magician's assistant to the hero Rance, Sill Plain is herself a mage proficient in both healing and fighting magic. In this new version, Sill wears her classic white cape over a skin-tight shirt, while her waist is circled by a mini-skirt being gently blown by the wind emphasizing her beautiful long and silky legs. Sill's voluminous pink hair was carefully sculpted in waves to match the original character illustration and her pretty bishoujo-styled face is wide-eyed and smiling. Standing approximately 7 1/3' tall (1/8-scale) atop her included base, Sill Plain was sculpted by Munetoshi Makio and is constructed of PVC plastic. A KOTOBUKIYA Japanese import! The XBOX 360 sequel to DOA Xtreme takes the players well beyond combat and volleyball. In Dead or Alive Xtreme 2: Venus on the Beach you can enjoy additional beach activities, such as personal watercraft races, gambling, and more! All the while, the women of DOA look as hot as can be in a variety of stunning beach attire, making use of the series' revolutionary physics engine that provides outstanding anatomical movement! Former DOA tournament winner and recurring character in the Ninja Gaiden series of games, AYANE sheds her ninja costume for something a bit more appropriate for beach life. Posed alluringly yet playfully, the popular character and rival of Kasumi comes with two signature outfits. The mini skirt and halter top combo called 'Alphard' is removable and reveals a skimpy string bikini called 'Scorpion' underneath. You will have a tough time deciding which of these display options looks the best on your shelf! Sculpted by Yuzo, Ayane stands almost 10 inches tall (in 1/6 scale with the other Venus on the Beach Ani*Statues). Posed as she stretches her right leg at the ocean, the beauty comes with a unique diorama base. Ayane leans on a rocky outcropping while translucent splashing water covers her left foot, creating a truly immersive beach scene! (immagine) Categoria: Toys and models

A KOTOBUKIYA Japanese import! The series of dynamic female characters from the 'Shining' series continues with the star of the massively popular PlayStation 2 game Shining Wind, in an all-new version: XECTY E.V.E. One of Baelgard's four guardians, Xecty is an artificial life form created by Hiruda from Celestia's genetic material. The new E.V.E. version recreates the character's origin as an ancient biological body weapon. Representing the ornate clothing of a bygone era, Xecty's outfit is an amazing example of Kotobukiya's excellent sculpting and attention to detail in an alternate version of her military uniform. The long bright red jacket features intricate hems, folds, and stitching, while layers and straps add white and black to the mix. On Xecty's sleeves are complicated laces and bright white symbols adorn her jacket at the shoulder and base. The humanoid weapon has a serene facial expression under distinctive ears and forehead horn. Xecty comes armed with a large scythe and stands upon an exclusive base. Sculpted by Hirotoshi Nakamura, Xecty is almost 8' tall (in 1/8th scale with the other Shining Wind Ani*Statues). (immagine) Categoria: Toys and models

A KOTOBUKIYA Japanese import! X-Force is the hottest mutant team right now in the Marvel Universe, with the current launch of Uncanny X-Force burning up the shelves everywhere. Teaming up the most vicious and morally flexible heroes, Wolverine leads the ultimate strike force willing to do anything, at any time to protect the world's mutant population. Kotobukiya is proud to present the first member of an all-new X-Force lineup of Fine Art Statues, X-23! Appearing first in the television series X-Men: Evolution in 2003, X-23 was later introduced to the Marvel Comics universe. She is no less than a female clone of Wolverine, created to be a deadly weapon and outfitted with adamantium-coated claws in her hands and feet! After discovering her true identity and joining the good guys, Laura has become a key member of X-Force. The deadly mutant is mission-ready, scouting out her target before a precision strike. Standing ever alert, X-23 wears her current X-Force uniform complete with skin-tight suit (that leaves her midriff bare), belt, bracelet, and intricately laced boots. Laura's trademark weapons, her claws, are unsheathed; two stand out from each hand while a solitary spur extends from her left foot. The ultra smooth adamantium blades stand out in stark contrast to the intricate sculpting and texture of her body, complete with musculature and clothing effects. The expert tracker comes with two heads so you can display her as you prefer: wearing her mask and a teeth-baring grin or sans mask and a more serene look on her face! Sculpted by Erick Sosa, X-23 stands approximately 11 inches tall (1/6 scale) perched atop a New York City building rooftop. Catch her now, because she is just the first a new X-Force series bringing your favorite mutants to life! Statue (immagine) Categoria: Toys and models

A KOTOBUKIYA Japanese import! With its thrilling martial arts action, the Tekken series of video games from Namco has been a huge hit with players since the original arcade game in 1994. In the games, fighters compete in the King of Iron Fist tournament for control of the Mishima Zaibatsu corporation, using their unique talents against their opponents. Kotobukiya is proud to present the first Tekken Bishoujo Statue, CHRISTIE MONTEIRO! The exotic capoeira master is based on an illustration by renowned Japanese artist Shunya Yamashita, known for his video game character designs and beautiful illustrations. The Brazilian fighter embodies beauty and martial arts skill, and she's never looked better! Christie wears one of her signature outfits from the game series, a variation on traditional capoeira pants that's little more than thigh high bell bottoms and a detailed braided belt that leaves her panties exposed. Her top is incredibly revealing as well, consisting of a band that covers only a small portion of her breasts. That costume would be sexy on its own, but add to that Christie's pose and you've got the hottest Tekken lady ever! The capoeira master performs one of her unique moves, balancing on her right leg with the left tucked beneath her. Christie rotates at the waist with her arms extended, her body a fluid wave of motion. Sculpted by Busujimax (Takaboku Busujima), Christie stands nearly 10 inches tall (1/7 scale) on her special display base. Display this fighting beauty in your collection and enjoy her great look down to the translucent pvc used for realistic hair detail! (immagine) Categoria: Toys and models

by Philip Francis Nowlan & Dick Calkins Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, the first, best, and original science-fiction newspaper strip, has it all - space ships, anti-gravity belts, space pirates, invaders from other worlds, nefarious villains, and, of course, heroes. Comic strip historian Maurice Horn notes that Buck Rogers in the 25th Century 'introduced most of the staples of science-fiction plotting' to the American public - as well as to everyone else in the world who read it. Beginning in September 2008, Hermes Press will begin a complete reprint of the ground-breaking newspaper strip in a 9' x 12' landscape format, 2 strips per page. Reprinting over 900 strips, 2 years of the daily strip are presented in Volume One, beginning with the first strip dated January 7, 1929. A special 16-page color section contains an essay on the strip by a leading science-fiction author to place the series in historical perspective together with documentary materials and production artwork. See and experience the thrill and awe of the precursor of Star Trek, Star Wars, and every other science-fiction story to come after! (immagine) Categoria: Books: graphic novels
