esempio: @author Stan Lee
esempio: @artist John Romita
Jr.
@cover copertinista: cerca solo articoli di questo
copertinista. Per esempio: @cover Alex
Ross
@artista, @editore, @titolo (mentre @cover rimane uguale!)
grammaticalmente simili (Man/Men ad esempio).
articoli presentanti negli ultimi 30 / 90 giorni mentre @mese a quelli
presentati nel mese in corso e @YEAR all'ultimo anno (inteso come "gli
ultimi 365 giorni).
codice a barre.
In 1962, Donald E. Westlake, writing under the pseudonym Richard Stark, created what would become one of the most important and enduring crime fiction series' ever produced-PARKER. Westlake wrote more than 20 Parker novels, many are considered classics of the genre, and a number of which have transitioned to the big screen. Most notable of these is Point Blank, directed by John Boorman and starring Lee Marvin, released in 1967. Westlake received many accolades during his distinguished career, including being named a Grand Master by the Mystery Writer's of America, that prestigious organization's highest honor. A signed and numbered edition of this book will be available at a later date. Darwyn Cooke has adapted four Parker books as graphic novels so far, including the recently released Slayground. The first three, The Hunter, The Outfit, and The Score have all won Eisner and Harvey Awards. He will be providing all-new color illustrations for The Hunter, the first in a series of hardcover prose novels released in chronological order and featuring Cooke's art. The Hunter, the first book in the Parker series, is the story of a man who hits New York head-on like a shotgun blast to the chest. Betrayed by the woman he loves and double-crossed by his partner in crime, Parker makes his way cross-country with only one thought burning in his mind-to coldly exact his revenge and reclaim what was taken from him! Published in the U.S. for the first time! In 1969, six months before the Star Trek TV series premiered in England, British comics readers were introduced to the characters in an original comic-book series. The stories were serialized, generally 2 to 3 pages at a time, in 257 weekly magazines spanning five years and 37 storylines. These extremely rare comics have never been published in the United States. Star Trek fans will quickly note that the comics were not written with strict adherence to Star Trek's core concepts. But it's precisely that 'offness' that makes them so eminently readable and deserving of a proper reprinting. They're unique in the annals of Star Trek and fans have gone without them for far too long. (immagine) Categoria: Books: graphic novels

Visit a land full of mystery, ancient alchemy, and modern technologies in this award-winning graphic novel series, now in a new edition with all-new colors and an updated translation! The second book in the original The Obscure Cities series, The Fever in Urbicande was first published in English by NBM in 1990 in black-and-white. This updated edition features an all-new translation and beautiful new coloring supervised by Francois Schuiten and Benoit Peeters. Eugen Robick, Urbatect of Urbicande has been designing a new bridge to connect the southern portion of the city to the north, but his bid to commence construction has been denied by the Commission. Unconcerned with the politics of the situation, Eugen only cares about the balance it will bring to the city. While contemplating how he can convince the Commission to see things his way, Eugen is brought a cube made of beams discovered during construction of another project. Initially small enough to fit on his desk, it begins to grow, adding beam after beam, until it soon takes over his entire office. Growing exponentially, it eventually takes over the entire city, disrupting the social order as citizens begin using the beams to travel back and forth between the southern and northern parts of the city, previously only accessible via the guarded bridges. While the Commission wishes to put a stop to any such social change, the cube's impact is overpowering and irreversible. (immagine) Categoria: Books: graphic novels

Bernie Wrightson is one of the most acclaimed horror artist's of all time. His work on Swamp Thing and many DC mystery books are hailed as classics of the form, but his undisputed masterpiece is Frankenstein, illustrated from the Mary Shelley novel. Leading up to Frankenstein, Wrightson did a series of breathtaking stories for Creepy and Eerie magazines, in the mid 1970s. Chief among these stories, and with the beginnings of the style he adopted for Frankenstein, was The Muck Monster. Now, IDW Publishing is pleased to announce the first Artist's Edition portfolio, and featuring the incredibly intricate detail of Bernie Wrightson's The Muck Monster. Superman's newspaper comic strips are among the most rare of all Superman collectibles. This comprehensive series helps remedy that gap in Superman history by bringing back into print every one of the Sunday newspaper strips. The Man of Steel stars in seven classic adventures as the 1950s 'Atomic Age' comes to a close. Two of the stories are original to the newspaper strip, while five were alternate versions of tales that were simultaneously published in the regular comic books. One of the featured adaptations is 'Superman Versus the Futuremen,' written by Batman co-creator Bill Finger, which retells Superman's origin. This concluding volume of Superman's Atomic Age Sundays reprints all strips from July 1, 1956 to October 11, 1959. Bullet points: * 'This book is a must have for any Superman fan. Loaded with Kryptonian goodness, this serial really focuses on the positive impact that Superman has had on our culture.' -Geeks of Doom * Advance solicited for December release!
