And some fan favorite characters from the original series will return, as well. The Beauty is written by co-creators Jeremy Haun and Jason A. Hurley, and this time around they are joined by superstar artist Ema Lupacchino (World’s Finest: Teen Titans) for an intriguing morality play that blends crime, horror, and action for a comic book unlike any other.All the B variants for the series will feature a cover by series artist Lupacchino and colorist Leonardo Paciarotti (Edenwood)!

Writer/artist Jeremy Haun is a prolific, fan-favorite comic book writer and artist who has worked with numerous publishers and characters, ranging from Batman to Captain America to Spawn, in a career spanning 20-plus years. He is best known for creator-owned properties such as The Beauty and The Realm published by Image Comics, and The Red Mother and The Approach, both from BOOM! Studios. He is creative director of Ignition Press and the host of the video podcast Curious Haunts. Jason A. Hurley has been in comic book retail for over two decades, but The Beauty was his first foray into making his own. In addition to comic books, he loves pro wrestling, bad horror movies, Freddie Mercury, hummingbirds, his parents, and pizza. While he’s never actually tried it, he also thinks curling looks like a hell of a lot of fun. Hurley claims his personal heroes are Earl Bassett and Valentine McKee, because they live a life of adventure on their own terms. He also claims that he would brain anyone who showed even the most remote signs of becoming a cannibalistic undead bastard, including his own brother, without a second thought. He’s lived in Joplin, Missouri, for most of his life, and never plans to leave. A former biotechnology researcher, Ema Lupacchino transitioned into comics and has worked on several Italian series, including L'insonne. Alongside her work as a comic book artist, she also illustrated role-playing game manuals. In the North American market, she has worked for many of the major publishers including Marvel, DC, IDW, Dark Horse, Image, and Dynamite on titles that include Wonder Woman, Birds of Prey, Star Trek/Doctor Who, and X-Factor among many others. Throughout her career she has contributed designs, illustrations, and concepts for statues, action figures, theme park graphics, and media promotional campaigns.
