L’autore raccoglie e intreccia una serie di interviste a persone che lavorano in vari ambiti ma con una costante: il loro lavoro passa attraverso il computer. Dalle interviste emerge chiaramente la non sostenibilità cognitiva del lavoro digitale e lo sfruttamento che si cela dietro alla narrazione del “lavoro culturale/digitale/innovativo”. Il modo in cui il lavoro consuma le persone intervistate, il loro senso di angoscia, delusione e frustrazione emerge in modo evidente. Quello di Carozzi non è un testo teorico, al centro ci sono esperienze personali ed episodi di vita da cui traspare l’urgenza di mettere al centro del dibattito le reali condizioni lavorative delle persone impiegate in questi ambiti, che sono sempre di più (immagine)
