Tom Taylor is a multi-award-winning and New York Times best-selling comic book author, playwright and screenwriter. He is well known for his work on Superior Iron Man, Injustice: Gods Among Us, Earth 2, various Star Wars titles and his graphic-novel series The Deep. Taylor continued X-23’s adventures in All-New Wolverine and brought her into the cast of X-Men Red, featuring the newly returned Jean Grey. He then put the focus on Peter Parker and his home in Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. Taylor has enjoyed further success at DC with books including DCeased and Suicide Squad.Spanish artist David Lopez has penciled New Avengers: The Reunion and its followup, Hawkeye & Mockingbird. In Mystic, he helped bring to life a story of epic high fantasy set against a backdrop of impending civil war. At DC, he has provided artwork for Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight and Catwoman, and co-created Fallen Angel with writer Peter David. In addition to his collaboration with Kelly Sue DeConnick on Captain Marvel, Lopez’s Marvel credits include All-New Wolverine, New Mutants and X-Men.Marcio Takara has been drawing for companies like Marvel Comics, Image Comics, Boom! Studios and DC since 2006 on titles such as Marvel Adventures Super Heroes, Dynamo 5, The Incredibles, Incorruptible, Blue Beetle and Flash. Other projects include Earthward with writer Bryan Q. Miller, artwork for the game League of Legends and Smallville: Lantern for DC. Springing from the all-ages title Marvel Adventures the Avengers, artist Ig Guara brought his delightful take on the Marvel Universe to Lockjaw and the Pet Avengers. He graduated to full-on super-hero action in books including All-New Wolverine, Ghost-Spider, Marvel Team-Up and Captain America: Symbol of Truth.

Bill Mantlo began his Marvel career on Deadly Hands of Kung Fu, in which he introduced White Tiger, one of the industry’s earliest Hispanic super heroes. Eventually writing stories for almost every Marvel title, he did some of his most fondly remembered work on Incredible Hulk and Spectacular Spider-Man. He also launched Cloak and Dagger in a pair of miniseries and guided Alpha Flight through some of its most harrowing ordeals. Mantlo excelled at integrating licensed properties into the Marvel Universe, as demonstrated by Micronauts and Rom: Spaceknight, both of which he wrote from start to finish. At DC, he wrote the Invasion miniseries for one of the company’s biggest crossover events.The career of the late Gil Kane began in comicdom's Golden Age. Following his role in ushering in the Silver Age of Comics via the re-creations of Green Lantern, the Atom and others, he became Marvel's star cover artist and the regular penciler on Amazing Spider-Man. Kane also helped develop Iron Fist, Morbius the Living Vampire and other Marvel mainstays. In 1971, he published the sword-and-sorcery/science-fiction hybrid Blackmark, often called the first American graphic novel. He was a multiple winner of the National Cartoonist Society Award; in 1997, he was inducted into both the Eisner Award Hall of Fame and the Harvey Award Jack Kirby Hall of Fame.Jackson “Butch” Guice began his Marvel career during the 1980s penciling Micronauts, New Mutants and X-Factor. He moved to DC for a fan-favorite run on Flash, subsequently illustrating nearly three years’ worth of Action Comics and participating in the “Death of Superman” event. He also co-created Resurrection Man and provided artwork for Birds of Prey. Back at Marvel, he penciled Captain America, Iron Man, Ultimate Origins and more. He has also worked on CrossGen’s Ruse, Dark Horse’s film tie-ins Terminator: Endgame and Aliens/Predator, First’s Badger and Nexus, and Valiant’s Eternal Warrior.The Marvel Preview series “The Sword and The Star” was not only Rocket Raccoon’s first appearance, but Keith Giffen’s first published work. He moved into more mainstream titles with Defenders, penciling the adventures of the infamous non-team during some of its most nontraditional storylines. It was at DC, however, that he achieved his greatest recognition with creations Ambush Bug, an irreverent wannabe hero who tackled the comics industry itself, and alien mercenary Lobo, who was meant as an indictment of the violent vigilante genre, but became its most extreme success story. In addition to famed stints on Legion of Super-Heroes and Justice League, he also wrote X-O Manowar and Magnus, Robot Fighter for Valiant Comics, and adapted mangas Battle Royale and Ikki Tousen into English. He has played a vital role in cosmic crossovers at both Marvel and DC, writing Annihilation tie-ins for the former, and penciling 52 and Countdown to Final Crisis for the latter.
