While Kieth was the artist and the main writer, The Maxx has writing credits with Alan Moore and Bill Messner-Loebs. In 2013, the comics were republished by IDW Publishing with new covers by Kieth and new colors by Ronda Pattison. The Maxx also had an animated TV mini-series in 1995 that showed on MTV.
