Cari dylaniati (e non), a volte una storia sola… non basta. Capita così che in alcune opere la narrazione principale faccia da cornice o da filo conduttore per altri racconti, permettendo di esplorare una varietà di temi e sviluppare altri personaggi. Se guardiamo al cinema, ne sono esempi film come I delitti del gatto nero (John Harrison, 1990) o il recente V/H/S (Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, David Bruckner e Tyler Gillett, 2012), che ha dato il via a uno dei franchise horror di maggior successo degli ultimi anni. In letteratura, troviamo questo tipo di struttura in classici come Le mille e una notte, il Decamerone di Boccaccio o Lo cunto de li cunti di Giambattista Basile. Alessandro Manzoni inserisce nell’intreccio principale de I promessi sposi una serie di sotto-trame e racconti, tra i quali la vicenda della Monaca di Monza è l’esempio più celebre. Umberto Eco, con Il nome della rosa, non si risparmia nello sviscerare la storia dell’abbazia e il contesto storico in cui è ambientata la vicenda. Si inserisce in questa illustre tradizione il “nostro” Tiziano Sclavi, che per i primi Speciali di Dylan Dog aveva scelto di raccontare diverse storie… nella storia. Il Club dell’Orrore e Gli orrori di Altroquando sono come mosaici di racconti più o meno interconnessi, capaci, al termine della lettura, di spingerti a ricominciare dalla prima pagina per scovare collegamenti, suggestioni e indizi seminati dal suo autore durante la tessitura dei fili conduttori. Il nostro grande amore per l’opera e la filosofia di Tiziano ci ha spinti a concepire un nuovo Speciale Dylan Dog, che da quest’anno si affianca a quello autunnale, e porta l’eloquente sottotitolo «Horror stories». Ci troverete l’orrore in tutte le sue meravigliose forme e declinazioni, ci saranno storie all’interno di altre storie, ma soprattutto, come sempre sulle pagine dell’Indagatore dell’Incubo, aspettatevi l’inaspettato.
