Appearing first in the television series X-Men: Evolution in 2003, X-23 was later introduced to the Marvel Comics universe. She is no less than a female clone of Wolverine, created to be a deadly weapon and outfitted with adamantium-coated claws in her hands and feet! After discovering her true identity and joining the good guys, Laura has become a key member of X-Force. The deadly mutant is mission-ready, scouting out her target before a precision strike. Standing ever alert, X-23 wears her current X-Force uniform complete with skin-tight suit (that leaves her midriff bare), belt, bracelet, and intricately laced boots. Laura's trademark weapons, her claws, are unsheathed; two stand out from each hand while a solitary spur extends from her left foot. The ultra smooth adamantium blades stand out in stark contrast to the intricate sculpting and texture of her body, complete with musculature and clothing effects. The expert tracker comes with two heads so you can display her as you prefer: wearing her mask and a teeth-baring grin or sans mask and a more serene look on her face! Born Piotr 'Peter' Rasputin, the mutant who would become an X-Man grew up on a struggling farm in the Soviet Union. His first comic book appearance took place in 1975's Giant-Size X-Men #1, when Professor Xavier visited the small farm to recruit Peter. At first denying his powers, the mutant revealed his true abilities when a runaway tractor threatened his sister. Transforming into a living steel form with vast strength and durability, Colossus would join the X-Men and serve with distinction, which of course meant lots of practice in the Danger Room. Ever since the early days of Marvel Comics' mutant adventures, 'X' teams have trained together in the ultra high tech facility known as the Danger Room, equipped with state of the art adaptive combat and athletics routines that challenge each participant in unique ways. The training facility has been featured prominently in X-Men comics over the years, as well as in various cartoons and the third X-Men film. Inspired by Jim Lee's 1990's era X-Men, Colossus is a massive and unstoppable force. The massive mutant is posed triumphant on the field of battle, about to bring down his heavy fists to crush the last of his wrecked foes. With his powerful physique transformed into living metal, Colossus has a fantastic sculpt showing off each and every muscle wrapped in smooth, narrow bands. He wears his classic bright red and yellow costume that's decorated at the waist with a large red and black 'X' logo. Everywhere his 'skin' is exposed is bright metallic silver, except for his black hair, making Colossus very visually dynamic. But that's not all. You even have two cool options when it comes to displaying the X-Man as he comes with two interchangeable heads: the first is angry yet focused, while the second is a sheer mask of rage! Sculpted by Erick Sosa, the enormous Colossus stands over 15 inches tall! The mutant hero's classic costume is beautifully recreated, with the bright green and yellow of the bodysuit standing out within her dark brown jacket. This 1/10 scale statue was crafted down to the finest detail using digital sculpting, giving this expertly crafted collector's piece an exquisite appearance alongside lifelike detail. The craftsmanship in this piece continues from the sculpting to the painting. Unlike other pieces which follow the pattern of a simple base coat with shading. ARTFX Premier re-evaluates the standards for figure painting. Each individual piece of the statue is layered with several types of paint, giving the finished product an unprecedented sense of beauty and depth. The ARTFX Premier rendition of Hulk is based on the 2018 Immortal Hulk comics, which pays homage to the character's roots. The statue depicts the transformed Bruce Banner delivering a powerful Hulk smash to the base on which he stands. The statue's powerful posing and realistic detail fully capture the Hulk's wild and unbridled strength in his transformed state. In order to give the statue an overpowering sense of power beyond the likes of which can be seen through the monitor of a computer, the initial prototype of the statue was created using clay. The model was then scanned and transformed into 3D data, allowing Kotobukiya's craftsmen to fine-tune the details such as the texture of Hulk's skin and shredded denim trousers. The intricate craftsmanship of this piece continues from the sculpting to the painting, with a multilayered paint job that highlights the level of detail that has gone into the piece. This rendition of the Hulk offers not only the weight and volume of a scale rendition of the character, but an attentive level of detail that offers quality alongside quantity. Like the other Avengers before it, the statue comes in sophisticated packaging overflowing with elegant details, including a marble inspired motif as well as an original illustration based on the figure.
