esempio: @author Stan Lee
esempio: @artist John Romita
Jr.
@cover copertinista: cerca solo articoli di questo
copertinista. Per esempio: @cover Alex
Ross
@artista, @editore, @titolo (mentre @cover rimane uguale!)
grammaticalmente simili (Man/Men ad esempio).
articoli presentanti negli ultimi 30 / 90 giorni mentre @mese a quelli
presentati nel mese in corso e @YEAR all'ultimo anno (inteso come "gli
ultimi 365 giorni).
codice a barre.

The Phantom returns with a deluxe edition of the first volume of the strip, long out of print. The all new volume contains new documentary material, essays by noted comics historian Ron Goulart and Phantom expert Ed Rhoades, and a checklist of all the dailies from 1936-1994 (the end of the Sy Barry years). The volume includes three ground-breaking, adventure filled stories which define the series and the characters: "The Singh Brotherhood," February 17 - November 7, 1936; "The Sky Band," November 9, 1936 - April 10, 1937; and "The Diamond Hunters." April 12 - September 18, 1937. Limited to only 1000 copies. The first, original, and best masked hero to ever grace the pages of comic strips and comic books returns with Hermes Press' complete reprint of The Phantom. Frequently referred to as the "granddaddy of all costumed superheroes," The Phantom was created in 1936 by Lee Falk with artwork by Ray Moore. The strip hit the funny pages of newspapers well before the Dark Knight or Superman made their first appearances and has been acknowledged as an influence on every "masked man of mystery" since. The Phantom set the standard for action, adventure, intrigue, and romance in adventure comic strips and comic books - it has frequently been copied but never equaled. See it all from the beginning in Hermes Press' deluxe edition of Volume One. (immagine)

No one can explain his escape from the insane asylum—but whatever the blue-gray dust was in his cell, it was certainly no longer Charles Dexter Ward…It was the 1920s—the Jazz Age, the age of modern wonders. But young Charles Dexter Ward was a dreamer, in love with the antiquities of his native Providence, Rhode Island. Charles was known for the long walks he took around the streets and alleyways of the old colonial city, searching out the traces that still lingered from centuries ago. It would have all seemed a harmless interest in the past…were it not for the fact Charles gradually developed a fixation on his notorious ancestor, Joseph Curwen.A wealthy merchant before the American Revolution, Curwen, known to have an interest in alchemy and rumored to practice the darker arts of the occult, never appeared to grow any older even as his money increased. But at last Curwen did die–violently—and the records of his life seemed to have been deliberately destroyed. Charles Dexter Ward hunted feverishly through the scraps of information that remained, for his new obsession was to find Curwen’s unmarked grave.Young Charles hasn’t seemed himself ever since—travelling to strange lands and keeping stranger company. Performing bizarre experiments and chants inside his room, Charles claims to have rediscovered secret knowledge his ancestor possessed that could revolutionize the world. When his erratic and dangerous behavior at last gets him committed to an insane asylum, Charles seemingly escapes…and only his family physician, Dr. Willett, suspecting a hideous truth, now has the courage to pursue the strange case of Charles Dexter Ward!Includes tip-in title page in metallic ink!

Gou Tanabe was born in 1975 in Tokyo. As a child, he became a fan of yokai (supernatural creatures from Japanese tradition) when his father bought him Shigeru Mizuki’s classic manga GeGeGe no Kitaro, and by junior high he was already designing his own demons in sketchbooks. An encounter with the work of creature modeler Yasushi Nirasawa in Hobby Japan magazine started Tanabe’s interest in horror movies and the special effects behind them as well.Tanabe began his professional manga career with a short stint working as an assistant, but made his solo debut in 2003 with Sunakichi, published in Comic Beam magazine; the story won the magazine’s New Faces Award, and Tanabe would soon become associated with Comic Beam, which began to regularly feature his Lovecraft manga staring in 2007 with an adaptation of the short story “The Outsider.â€In addition to receiving nominations for three Eisner Awards, two Harvey Awards, and one American Manga Award to date, Gou Tanabe has received critical acclaim in France, winning the prestigious Best Series award in 2020 at the Angoulême International Comics Festival. In 2025, Tanabe’s adaptation H.P. Lovecraft’s The Call of Cthulhu won the Bram Stoker Award given by the Horror Writers Association in the Best Graphic Novel category, an award first given to Alan Moore for his own Lovecraft adaptation, Neonomicon.

Archimedes Anderson’s first major cost-cutting initiative has gone spectacularly wrong. After defunding a remote Miyashi-Smith research facility, he’s stranded a team of scientists on an uninhabited island with a highly contagious virus that turns its victims’ worst impulses into violent compulsions. Armed with a killer drone, a handful of guns, and absolutely no idea what they’re doing, the team discovers the island isn’t quite as abandoned as they thought—and the infection may have spread far beyond the lab. From the twisted minds of Dan Watters (Nightwing; TMNT: Shredder) and Brian Level (Venom: Black, White & Blood) comes a comedic, sci-fi horror five-issue limited series that asks, “What if DOGE dismantled the X-Files unit"
