esempio: @author Stan Lee
esempio: @artist John Romita
Jr.
@cover copertinista: cerca solo articoli di questo
copertinista. Per esempio: @cover Alex
Ross
@artista, @editore, @titolo (mentre @cover rimane uguale!)
grammaticalmente simili (Man/Men ad esempio).
articoli presentanti negli ultimi 30 / 90 giorni mentre @mese a quelli
presentati nel mese in corso e @YEAR all'ultimo anno (inteso come "gli
ultimi 365 giorni).
codice a barre.

Marvel’s ’70s Horror Archives: Vampire Tales Volume 1--1973–1974 is the first in a series of Dark Horse collaborations with Marvel Comics to excavate the dark and hidden corners of the Marvel Universe and re-present them in beautiful archival hardcover editions.Starting in 1973, Marvel Comics embarked on a series of black-and-white horror anthologies in magazine format. These magazines helped ignite a new horror-comics boom while allowing Marvel to expand the boundaries of the stories they told. One of those series, Vampire Tales, included stories of bloodsucking fiends as both heroes, villains, and anti-heroes, involving fan-favorites like the reluctant monster Morbius, the Living Vampire; the first solo tales featuring Blade the Vampire Slayer; and Dracula’s daughter, the ever-lethal Lilith. Vampire Tales magazine also introduced the comic-book world to Satana, the Devil’s Daughter, and her introductory stories are also in this first volume.Marvel’s ’70s Horror Archives: Vampire Tales Volume 1--1973–1974 contains nearly 300 pages of terrifying tales from the first six issues of the magazine, including stories by comic-book talent such as Alfredo Alcala, Rich Buckler, Ernie Chan, Chris Claremont, Gerry Conway, Bill Everett, Gardner Fox, Steve Gerber, Carmine Infantino, Tony Isabella, Gil Kane, Stan Lee, Don McGregor, Pablo Marcos, Esteban Maroto, Doug Moench, Tom Palmer, John Romita, Jim Steranko, Tom Sutton, Roy Thomas, Marv Wolfman, and more! This oversize collection also features full-color reproductions of Vampire Tales covers painted by the likes of Bob Larkin, Esteban Maroto, and Boris Vallejo, along with a new introduction and discussion of the Marvel horror mags’ lasting influence from writer/editor/historian Chris Ryall, as well as a number of Marvel’s most horrific monster-comic covers.

This issue's 'Film in Focus' sees Simon Lewis revisit Clint Eastwood's The Eiger Sanction (1975), and Hank Reineke continues his 'Beyond Bond' series with Roger Moore's first big screen movie Crossplot (1969). Dave Worrall recalls seeing the hugely popular Cliff Richard musicals The Young Ones (1961) and Summer Holiday (1963), and Brian R. Young interviews Karen Kramer, wife of the much celebrated director Stanley Kramer. Lee Pfeiffer remembers The Good Guys and the Bad Guys (1969), plus an article championing the movie adverts that appeared in British film magazines of the day, and Adrian Smith requests "We Want Our DVD" of David McCallum's The Ravine (1969)... and not forgetting our usual round-up of Book, Blu-ray reviews - makes for another great issue. An 8x8 with 2 sticker sheets based on an episode from the PBS KIDS animated television series Xavier Riddle and the Secret Museum starring Theodore Roosevelt. Based on the children's book series Ordinary People Change the World by New York Times bestselling author Brad Meltzer and illustrator Christopher Eliopoulos, the series will introduce kids to inspiring historical figures and the character virtues that helped them succeed. Brad does not like creepy crawly things and has marked the entire playground as a No-Go Zone! The Secret Museum sends him, Xavier, and Yadina to meet Theodore Roosevelt who helps them learn that creepy crawly things need space to live, too. This episode-based 8x8 will focus on the traits that made our heroes great-the traits that kids can aspire to in order to live heroically themselves. (immagine) Categoria: Books: novel/sci fi/horror

Soon to be a television series produced and showrunner by Ryan Murphy and premiering on FX this fall, the smash-hit comic The Beauty returns to comic shops with a brand-new volume. Set in a world not unlike our own, The Beauty chronicles what happens when a new sexually transmitted disease begins to spread. Only, this is a disease that people actually want, as those who contract it are literally changed into more beautiful versions of themselves. The only hitch is a slight fever and, eventually, death. But isn’t that an easy price to pay to be gorgeous? This new series follows several characters as they deal with the Beauty and how it has changed society around them. A thief for hire on a dangerous job, a meteorologist with plummeting ratings, and special agents specializing in Beauty-related crimes will all find their lives converging in unexpected ways. And some fan favorite characters from the original series will return, as well. The Beauty is written by co-creators Jeremy Haun and Jason A. Hurley, and this time around they are joined by superstar artist Ema Lupacchino (World’s Finest: Teen Titans) for an intriguing morality play that blends crime, horror, and action for a comic book unlike any other. All the B variants for the series will feature a cover by series artist Lupacchino and colorist Leonardo Paciarotti (Edenwood)!

Writer/artist Jeremy Haun is a prolific, fan-favorite comic book writer and artist who has worked with numerous publishers and characters, ranging from Batman to Captain America to Spawn, in a career spanning 20-plus years. He is best known for creator-owned properties such as The Beauty and The Realm published by Image Comics, and The Red Mother and The Approach, both from BOOM! Studios. He is creative director of Ignition Press and the host of the video podcast Curious Haunts. Jason A. Hurley has been in comic book retail for over two decades, but The Beauty was his first foray into making his own. In addition to comic books, he loves pro wrestling, bad horror movies, Freddie Mercury, hummingbirds, his parents, and pizza. While he’s never actually tried it, he also thinks curling looks like a hell of a lot of fun. Hurley claims his personal heroes are Earl Bassett and Valentine McKee, because they live a life of adventure on their own terms. He also claims that he would brain anyone who showed even the most remote signs of becoming a cannibalistic undead bastard, including his own brother, without a second thought. He’s lived in Joplin, Missouri, for most of his life, and never plans to leave. A former biotechnology researcher, Ema Lupacchino transitioned into comics and has worked on several Italian series, including L'insonne. Alongside her work as a comic book artist, she also illustrated role-playing game manuals. In the North American market, she has worked for many of the major publishers including Marvel, DC, IDW, Dark Horse, Image, and Dynamite on titles that include Wonder Woman, Birds of Prey, Star Trek/Doctor Who, and X-Factor among many others. Throughout her career she has contributed designs, illustrations, and concepts for statues, action figures, theme park graphics, and media promotional campaigns. New York Times-bestselling October Daye series • Hugo Award-winning author Seanan McGuire • "Top of my urban-paranormal series list!" —Felicia Day It’s been almost a year since October “Toby” Daye averted a war, gave up a county, and suffered personal losses that have left her wishing for a good day’s sleep. She’s tried to focus on her responsibilities, but she can’t help feeling like her world is crumbling around her, and her increasingly reckless behavior is beginning to worry even her staunchest supporters. To make matters worse, Toby’s just been asked to find another missing child…only this time it’s the changeling daughter of her fellow knight, Etienne. Chelsea, a teleporter like her father, is the kind of changeling the old stories warn about: the ones with all the strength and none of the control. She’s opening doors that were never meant to be opened, releasing dangers that were sealed away centuries before—and there’s a good chance she could destroy Faerie if she isn’t stopped. Now Toby must find Chelsea before time runs out, racing against an unknown deadline and through unknown worlds as she and her allies try to avert disaster. Toby thought the last year was bad. She has no idea.
Seanan McGuire is a California-based author with a strong penchant for travel and can regularly be found just about anyplace capable of supporting human life (as well as a few places that probably aren’t). Early exposure to a vast number of books left her with a lifelong affection for the written word, and led, perhaps inevitably, to her writing books of her own, starting somewhere around the age of eleven. The October Daye novels are her first urban fantasy series, and the InCryptid novels are her second series, both published by DAW and bother of which have put her in the New York Times bestseller list. Seanan was the winner of the 2010 John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer; Rosemary and Rue, the first novel in the October Daye series, was named one of the Top 20 Paranormal Fantasy Novels of the Past Decade; and her novel Feed, written under the name Mira Grant, was named as one of Publishers Weekly's Best Books of 2010. She also won a Hugo for her podcast, and is the first person to be nominated for five Hugo Awards in a single year. You can visit her at www.seananmcguire.com.
