MATT WAGNER has enjoyed a career in comics for over forty years and is best known for one of comicdom's most respected creator-owned titles-the centuries-spanning epic, GRENDEL and for his other, more personal, allegory, MAGE. As both a writer and an artist, Matt has also worked on a wide variety of established characters over the years which include several landmark projects starring DC Comics icon, BATMAN including two crossovers series with GRENDEL. Stan Sakai was born in Kyoto, Japan, grew up in Hawaii, and now lives in California with his wife, Julie. He has two children, Hannah and Matthew, and two stepchildren, Daniel and Emi. Stan received a fine arts degree from the University of Hawaii, and furthered his studies at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA.Stan’s creation Usagi Yojimbo first appeared in the comic book Albedo Anthropomorphics #2 in 1984.
