Imported from Japan! Tezuka Osamu, the 'father of manga,' is perhaps best known in the West as the creator of Tetsuwan Atom, better known to Americans as Astro Boy! Some of Osamu's most famous creations join the Tezuka Moderno Labo figure line, spanning his decades-long career. Sapphire, from the Japanese manga Princess Knight, is the young Prince of Silverland - except that he is, in reality, a girl, whomust pretend to be a boy in order to inherit the throne and prevent the evil Duke Duralumon from taking power! Leo, also know as Kimba, originated in the 1960s Japanese anime series, Jungle Emperor (known in the United States as Kimba the White Lion), based on his manga of the same name which began in 1950. Dr. Ochanomizu first appears in 'Birth of Astro Boy,' where he rescued Astro from Caccitore's circus. Kind, patient and good-natured, he serves as a mentor for both Astro and Uran, and would willingly give his life for either! Finally, Sharaku is the main character of the manga and anime known as The Three-Eyed One (Mitsume ga tooru). A little boy, Sharaku wields a terrible power - on his forehead is a third eye that, when opened, releases mystical energy that turns him into an evil sorcerer, bent upon conquering mankind by summoning demons and wielding a red harpoon wand called Red Condor!
