esempio: @author Stan Lee
esempio: @artist John Romita
Jr.
@cover copertinista: cerca solo articoli di questo
copertinista. Per esempio: @cover Alex
Ross
@artista, @editore, @titolo (mentre @cover rimane uguale!)
grammaticalmente simili (Man/Men ad esempio).
articoli presentanti negli ultimi 30 / 90 giorni mentre @mese a quelli
presentati nel mese in corso e @YEAR all'ultimo anno (inteso come "gli
ultimi 365 giorni).
codice a barre.
Originally a 'gag-a-day' comic strip that portrayed life in high school, Funky Winkerbean has evolved into a mature series of real-life stories examining such social issues as teen dating abuse, teen pregnancy, teen suicide, violence in schools, the war in the Middle East, alcoholism, divorce, and cancer. In 1999, Lisa Moore, one of Funky's friends and a main character, discovered she had breast cancer. After a mastectomy and chemotherapy, Lisa was cancer free. Then, in the spring of 2006, the cancer returned and metastasized. Lisa's Story: The Other Shoe is a collection of both the 1999 comic strips on Lisa's initial battle with cancer and the current series examining her struggle with the disease and its outcome. A story from the comic strips that will make you laugh and cry Tom Batiuk spent several years as a middle school art teacher before creating the comic strip Funky Winkerbean in 1972. Originally a 'gag-a-day' comic strip that portrayed life in high school, Funky has evolved into a mature series of real-life stories examining such social issues as teen dating abuse, teen pregnancy, teen suicide, violence in schools, the war in the Middle East, alcoholism, divorce, and cancer. In 1999, Lisa Moore, one of Funky's friends and a main character, discovered she had breast cancer. Batiuk, unsure about dealing with such a serious subject on the funny pages, decided to go ahead with the story line. He approached the topic with the idea that mixing humor with serious and real themes heightens the reader's interest. Lisa and husband Les faced the same physical, psychological, and social issues as anyone else dealing with the disease. After a mastectomy and chemotherapy, Lisa was cancer free. She finished her law degree, opened a practice, and had a baby daughter, Summer. Then, in the spring of 2006, the cancer returned and metastasized. Lisa's Story: The Other Shoe is a collection of both the 1999 comic strips on Lisa's initial battle with cancer and the current series examining her struggle with the disease and its outcome. Additionally, it contains resource material on breast cancer, including early detection, information sources, support systems, and health care. (immagine) Categoria: Books: graphic novels

From FREEing. 'The Table Museum' is a series of figma figures based on famous works of art that almost anyone will recognize! The first in the series is the classic sculpture by Auguste Rodin - The Thinker! The Thinker was originally a centerpiece of a sculptural group work called The Gates of Hell, but now the silent, pondering sculpture can be found in textbooks around the world. The figma version is, of course, articulated, so while you can recreate the classic 'Thinker' pose, you can also place him in a variety of different poses to bring out a completely different charm to the work of art! Using the smooth yet posable joints of figma, you can act out the classic Thinker pose, or various other action poses. A flexible plastic is used for important areas, allowing proportions to be kept without compromising poseability. A special stand, chest and head part are included to recreate the classic pose, but various other head and hand parts are also included. An articulated figma stand is included. Using the smooth yet posable joints of figma, you can act out the classic Thinker pose, or various other action poses. A flexible plastic is used for important areas, allowing proportions to be kept without compromising poseability. The fifth piece of art to join the series is the Vitruvian Man, which was originally illustrated by the man called the 'Genius of the Century,' Leonardo Da Vinci. A special panel to recreate the full effect of the drawing is included. Alternate chest and upper arm parts, thigh parts and wrist parts are also included for various poses, as is an articulated figma. (immagine) Categoria: Toys and models

Lulu Moppet is an outspoken and brazen young girl who doesn't follow any rules-whether they've been set by her parents, the neighborhood boys, or society itself. In spring 2019 D+Q begins a landmark reissue series of Lulu's suburban hijinks: she goes on picnics, babysits, and attempts to break into the boys' clubhouse again and again. Cartoonist John Stanley's expert timing and constant gags made these stories unbelievably enjoyable, ensuring that Marge's Little Lulu was a defining comic of the post-war period. Lulu's assertiveness, individuality, and creativity is empowering to witness; the series is powerfully feminist despite the decades in which the stories were created. Shira Spector literally paints a vivid portrait of the most eventful 10 years of her life, encompassing her tenacious struggle to get pregnant, the emotional turmoil of her father's cancer diagnosis and eventual death, and her recollections of past relationships with her parents and her partner. Set in a kaleidoscope of Montreal and Toronto, Red Rock Baby Candy unfolds as one of the most formally inventive comics in the history of the medium. It begins in subtle, tonal shades of black ink, introduces color slowly over the next 50 pages until it explodes into a glorious full color palette. The irreverent characters begin to bloom and to live life fully, resurrecting the dead in order to map the geography among infertility, sexuality, choice, and mortality. The drawing is visceral, symbolic, and naturalistic. The visual storytelling eschews traditional comics panels in favor of a series of unique page compositions that convey both a stream of consciousness and the tactile reality of life, both the subjective impressions of the author at each moment of her life and the objective series of events that shape her narrative. It is the most formally revolutionary visual storytelling since Emil Ferris's My Favorite Thing is Monsters. (immagine) Categoria: Books: graphic novels
