From Kotobukiya. From Prima Doll, the collaborative series between Key and Kotobukiya, Gekka, the former reconnaissance automata who is blunt with her words, is coming out as a figure! The unique style of the character designer, Yui Hara, has been perfectly captured with this piece featuring details like camellia flowers, her taiyaki pouch, and the large ribbon in her hair. Her frilly apron and randoseru, or Japanese school backpack, along with her flowing skirt have all been sculpted and painted with great care. The base features the same vignette style design as Haizakura and Karasuba's, recreating the series' atmosphere around the character. From Konami's worldwide hit series Metal Gear comes a plastic model kit of the nuclear-armed bipedal tank Metal Gear Rex from Metal Gear Solid in a black version as an original modeling feature! The sculpt remains as is, with the color scheme changed to black to allow for easy painting as an original feature for this model. New decals, such as caution marks that add detail to the model and marking decals that allow for the original Rex to be recreated, are included. A total of four figures are included: Solid Snake, a Cyborg Ninja figure in the standard standing pose, a damaged version of Cyborg Ninja to recreate the famous scene where he is crushed by Rex's feet, and Liquid Snake. The team took this anniversary year as a chance to look back at the illustration by Shunya Yamashita with fresh eyes, and took on the challenge of bringing this statue back to life with Kotobukiya's latest skills and techniques. The result was not just a simple reproduction, but the development of a whole new statue! The statue features Invisible Woman's hair flowing in the breeze made with clear material and layered with a beautiful pearlescent paint, creating an airy and transparent tone. Complicated details, such as her irises and the inside of her mouth, have been recreated with a sense of depth and precision that only this large of a scale can bring to life. Her costume features a detailed contrast between the textured and glossy fabrics, with the recreation of even the fine wrinkles being perfectly and naturally captured. Her force field, as well as hands and feet, utilize clear material to make a beautiful gradient that gradually turns transparent at her fingertips. The team is proud to present this statue as a commemorative item for fans all over the globe, as a piece that both showcases the history of the series and its future to come. From Kotobukiya. The manga Shaman King celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2018 and in honor of the occasion Yoh Asakura and Hao are joining Kotobukiya's ARTFX J line! These ARTFX J statue were created under the careful supervision of the artist, from the sculpting of the cloak to the angles of Hao's legs and even the parts of his cloak, while the wrinkles in Yoh's clothing to the details on his pockets are painstakingly recreated. Yoh's guardian spirit Amidamaru is also recreated in Spirit Ball form with clear plastic, while Hao's Spirit of Fire is created with clear plastic, giving it a unique appearance that catches the light nicely.
