esempio: @author Stan Lee
esempio: @artist John Romita
Jr.
@cover copertinista: cerca solo articoli di questo
copertinista. Per esempio: @cover Alex
Ross
@artista, @editore, @titolo (mentre @cover rimane uguale!)
grammaticalmente simili (Man/Men ad esempio).
articoli presentanti negli ultimi 30 / 90 giorni mentre @mese a quelli
presentati nel mese in corso e @YEAR all'ultimo anno (inteso come "gli
ultimi 365 giorni).
codice a barre.

A KOTOBUKIYA Japanese import! The amazing X-Men Danger Room Sessions Fine Art Statue series continues with its fifth member, the mighty steel-skinned mutant COLOSSUS! Born Piotr 'Peter' Rasputin, the mutant who would become an X-Man grew up on a struggling farm in the Soviet Union. His first comic book appearance took place in 1975's Giant-Size X-Men #1, when Professor Xavier visited the small farm to recruit Peter. At first denying his powers, the mutant revealed his true abilities when a runaway tractor threatened his sister. Transforming into a living steel form with vast strength and durability, Colossus would join the X-Men and serve with distinction, which of course meant lots of practice in the Danger Room. Ever since the early days of Marvel Comics' mutant adventures, 'X' teams have trained together in the ultra high tech facility known as the Danger Room, equipped with state of the art adaptive combat and athletics routines that challenge each participant in unique ways. The training facility has been featured prominently in X-Men comics over the years, as well as in various cartoons and the third X-Men film. Inspired by Jim Lee's 1990's era X-Men, Colossus is a massive and unstoppable force. The massive mutant is posed triumphant on the field of battle, about to bring down his heavy fists to crush the last of his wrecked foes. With his powerful physique transformed into living metal, Colossus has a fantastic sculpt showing off each and every muscle wrapped in smooth, narrow bands. He wears his classic bright red and yellow costume that's decorated at the waist with a large red and black 'X' logo. Everywhere his 'skin' is exposed is bright metallic silver, except for his black hair, making Colossus very visually dynamic. But that's not all. You even have two cool options when it comes to displaying the X-Man as he comes with two interchangeable heads: the first is angry yet focused, while the second is a sheer mask of rage! Sculpted by Erick Sosa, the enormous Colossus stands over 15 inches tall! He's perfectly in scale (1/6th) with the other Danger Room Sessions members, and like them stands upon a unique Danger Room holographic environment with translucent parts that glow with a built-in LED light in the base. In Colossus' case it's the shattered remains of a torn up Sentinel robot! Statue (immagine) Categoria: Toys and models

Ed Brubaker has emerged as one of the most popular, significant figures in art comics since the 1990s. Most famous as the man who killed Captain America in 2007, Brubaker's work on company-owned properties such as Batman and Captain America and creator-owned series like Criminal and Fatale live up to the usual expectations for the superhero and crime genres. Brubaker layers his stories with a keen self-awareness, applying his expansive knowledge of American comic book history to invigorate his work and challenge the dividing line between popular entertainment and high art. This collection of interviews explores his work, drawing upon the entire length of the award-winning Brubaker's career. (immagine) Categoria: Books: novel/sci fi/horror

A behind-the-scenes reveal of Steven Spielberg's upcoming 2011 motion capture 3-D film based on the universally beloved comic book series The Adventures of Tintin that will answer the inevitable question: how on earth did they do THAT? With forewards by both Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson, this book is the ultimate authority on the film event of the year. Created by the Belgian artist Herg?, Tintin is a beloved comic strip character, a teenage reporter who travels the world with his dog Snowy doing good deeds and foiling bad guys. The character made his debut in 1929 in a Belgian newspaper and has been chronicled in dozens of illustrated books, translated into many languages, and has sold more than 200 million copies worldwide. Now Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson are teaming up to launch The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn in late 2011 (releases in most global markets October, 2011; releases in US December 23, 2011). This first of two movies brings to life the enormously popular books by Herg? in performance-captured 3-D form. The conceptual design and visual effects for the movie are being created by Weta Workshop, the multi-Academy Award winning company who helped create global blockbusters such as Avatar, The Lord of the Rings, District 9, King Kong, The Chronicles of Narnia and many others. The very same Weta artists who are working on the movie will be launching THE ART OF TINTIN book in both paper and digital format in late 2011. So readers will get the inside story telling how the movie progresses from the original works of Herg?, through the movie design process, to the final look on the big screen. Weta Workshop's artists have created the special make-up effects, physical characteristics, stunning landscapes, and most importantly, Tintin's dog Snowy. The film is to be shot with an atmospheric, film-noire aesthetic with sweeping European cityscapes and vistas, a veritable feast for the eyes. This book illuminates the creative design process, detailing interactions between Weta's artists, Peter Jackson, and Steven Spielberg. It will include hundreds of images from concept art and storyboards to photographs of the props and sculptures, as well as insightful remarks from the artists themselves. Many of the images included in this book have never been seen before, including work that was eventually cut or barely glimpsed in the finished film. THE ART OF TINTIN offers an unrivalled look into the creative minds and hands responsible for lifting the beloved figures of a comic book classic off the page and onto the big screen. Author: Weta Workshop is a multi-award winning conceptual design and physical manufacturing facility based out of Wellington, New Zealand, servicing the world's entertainment and wider creative industries. Weta Workshop is also a multi-disciplinary facility, with crew members expert in a diverse range of disciplines all housed under the one roof. These services include conceptual design and the manufacturing of weapons, armor and chainmail, specialist props, custom vehicles, specialty costumes, miniatures and models, special makeup and prosthetics, and public art installations or displays. The team at Weta enjoys engaging in projects holistically, from preliminary technical analysis and conceptual design through to manufacture across all departments and the final delivery of product and crew to set, anywhere in the world. Drawing on more than twenty years of filmmaking experience, five-time Oscar-winning design and special effects supervisor Richard Taylor is intimately involved in all projects from concept through to delivery. Best known for the company's design and effects work on award-winning film projects, including The Lord of the Rings trilogy, King Kong, The Chronicles of Narnia, Avatar, and District 9, Weta Workshop is not limited to film and television, offering services to creative industries worldwide. A KOTOBUKIYA Japanese import! Created in 1941 by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby to represent opposition to Nazi Germany, CAPTAIN AMERICA combined superhero stories with patriotism and the fight against oppression in the world. From humble beginnings as a physically weak young man, Steve Rogers attempted to join the United States military service to combat the threat in Europe. Recruited into a secret 'Super-Soldier' program, Rogers was given a serum and radiation that transformed him into a paragon of human athleticism. With a red, white, and blue costume and special aerodynamic shield, Captain America burst onto the superhero scene. Throughout his illustrious career Rogers would team up with other heroes and fight alongside the Avengers on multiple occasions. Though he was thought dead at the end of the Civil War storyline, the original Captain America was displaced in time and is destined to return as a member of the Avengers Reborn with Thor and Iron Man! The patriotic American super soldier stands triumphant on the field of battle, a bastion of freedom and democracy standing firm while raising his iconic shield over his head. His uniform and signature look are recreated down to the last detail, with special emphasis paid to the sculpting of Captain America's impressive musculature and the scales of his armored shirt. Cap's classic look is comprised of vivid red, white, and blue, with subtler accents of facial skin tone, and dark leather boots and belt pouches with metallic fasteners. You can display Captain America in two different ways according to your preferences, utilizing either of his included heads: the traditional winged look and World War II D-Day helmet variant! Captain America stands approximately 12 1/2' inches tall (1/6th-scale), with one foot on a rocky stone base decorated with the classic Avengers 'A' logo. The deluxe motif base connects to those of the other members of the Avengers Reborn series, Thor and Iron Man. Sculpted by master artist Junnosuke Abe, Captain America is constructed of high-quality cold cast porcelain and is a limited, numbered edition. A KOTOBUKIYA Japanese Import! The 4-Leaves 'Legends Girls' line-up from Kotobukiya focusing on the 'eternal heroines' of Japanese manga and anime continues with another pretty girl from Sister Princess, the long-running bishoujo series consisting of light novels, manga, video games, and anime. After Kaho, the 'sister type' comes SAKUYA SWIMSUIT VERSION, the emotionally fragile -- and easily flustered -- modern teenager. Originally released as a garage kit in 2002, the classic Sister Princess swimsuit-clad beauty is back, fully painted and ready for you to display! Based on an original character illustration, Sakuya is ready for an exciting day at the beach wearing a tiny bikini with a huge revolver strapped to her hip. Her confident manner is apparent in her pose, flipping back her long hair and balancing on the toes of one foot, which also serves to emphasize her pretty legs. Updated for this new release, Sakuya's sculpt is top-notch, with intricate detailing on the young lady's necklace and weapon. The most difficult thing about the original garage kit was getting the paint just right, but Kotobukiya's master painters have made that a thing of the past. Sakuya's creamy skin tone is perfectly offset by her peach and orange bikini, brown belt and hair, and bright blue eyes. Standing 7' tall (1/8-scale), Sakuya was sculpted by Takahiro Ayase and comes fully assembled. Statue SRP: $59.99 / Available in MARCH (immagine) Categoria: Toys and models
