His recent short works include stories in The Sunday Morning Transport, Tasting Light: Ten Science Fiction Stories to Rewire Your Perceptions, and Overwatch 2: Heroes Ascendant, as well as an episode of The Sounds of Nightmares, the first audio fiction series from the world of the Little Nightmares video games.Eugene was assembled in the United States from Korean and German parts, and raised by a single mother and a public library in Yonkers, New York. His science fiction and fantasy short stories have been published in magazines and anthologies such as A Thousand Beginnings and Endings, Mother of Invention, Behind the Song, Kaleidoscope: Diverse YA Science Fiction and Fantasy Stories, and others.
