esempio: @author Stan Lee
esempio: @artist John Romita
Jr.
@cover copertinista: cerca solo articoli di questo
copertinista. Per esempio: @cover Alex
Ross
@artista, @editore, @titolo (mentre @cover rimane uguale!)
grammaticalmente simili (Man/Men ad esempio).
articoli presentanti negli ultimi 30 / 90 giorni mentre @mese a quelli
presentati nel mese in corso e @YEAR all'ultimo anno (inteso come "gli
ultimi 365 giorni).
codice a barre.

The legendary actor behind Roots, Star Trek: The Next Generation, and Reading Rainbow shares never-before-told stories from a life that has shaped generations—told at last on his own terms. This is my attempt to pull back the curtain. Not just on the roles I’ve played, but on the life I’ve lived. The fears. The fight. The survival. And yes, the joy. All of it.Tracing the different eras of his life—from Kunta Kinte to Geordi La Forge to Reading Rainbow and far beyond the camera—celebrated actor LeVar Burton fearlessly opens up about growing up during the Civil Rights Movement, being raised by a remarkable mother, and discovering his calling as a storyteller. He explores how acting has served as both a source of transformation and an escape from the most difficult parts of his past, while also confronting the challenges of being a parent, husband, and householder. As Burton honors the loved ones whose strength and resilience shaped him in this inspiring memoir, he also asks what we owe to our ancestors and to each other, reflecting on the deep necessity he’s always felt advocating for liberation and equity. Generous, deeply moving, and illustrated with personal family photos, Take My Word For It is a courageous self-portrait of an iconic artist.
LeVar Burton played Kunta Kinte in the acclaimed mini-series Roots, and he starred in Star Trek: The Next Generation as Lt. Commander Geordi LaForge. Other credits include a regular role on the CBS series Christy, and he served as host and contributing producer of the Emmy Award-winning children’s program Reading Rainbow, for which he received twelve Daytime Emmy Awards and a Peabody Award. He is an educator committed to improving children’s education through innovative uses of storytelling.

It turns out that Ursula, the baddest of the big bads, has recruited an evil chemist to recreate Walt's magical ink, which would allow the Villains to travel between parks and end Disney magic as we know it.With the help of Cinderella's very own Fairy Godmother—the notorious FGM as she's known in this world—they set out to stop Ursula—jumping from Epcot to Disneyland to Disneyland Paris, where the ultimate battle between good and evil plays out. Will Eli and his friends prevail, or will the Villains finally have their way?

Read all about how a young boy from California who listened to polka music and played the accordion became a comedian, parody songwriter, and Grammy winner in this biography for young readers about “Weird Al” Yankovic! When Alfred Yankovic was seven years old, a salesman knocked on the door of his family home selling guitars and accordions. Al's life was never the same! He drew inspiration from comedian, radio broadcaster, and novelty songwriter Dr. Demento. By the time he was sixteen years old, Al graduated high school at the top of his class and had his first parody song on the radio. While in college studying architecture, Alfred Yankovic became “Weird Al." He got a job at his university radio station where he worked on novelty songs, comedy sketches, and developing his public image, which included his signature Hawaiian shirt. His hard work led him to a record deal with Scotti Bros. Records, a time slot with MTV, and a headlining tour act. After releasing fourteen albums, two children’s books, and a comedy movie, Weird Al received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2018. Today, he is as famous for his Hawaiian shirt as he is for his hit songs, including "Eat It," "Smells Like Nirvana," and "Amish Paradise." Here is the first novel of Frank Herbert’s magnificent Dune saga—a triumph of the imagination and one of the bestselling science fiction series of all time. This deluxe paperback features beloved vintage cover art by Frederic Marvin and includes:• Stenciled edges with excerpts from the “Litany Against Fear”• Art printed inside the front and back covers featuring the planets Caladan and Arrakis• Foiled details on the coverSet on the desert planet Arrakis, Dune is the story of Paul Atreides, heir to a noble family tasked with ruling an inhospitable world where the only thing of value is the “spice” melange, a drug capable of extending life and enhancing consciousness. Coveted across the known universe, melange is a prize worth killing for...When House Atreides is betrayed, the destruction of Paul’s family will set the boy on a journey toward a destiny greater than he could ever have imagined. And as he evolves into the mysterious man known as Muad’Dib, he will bring to fruition humankind’s most ancient and unattainable dream. A stunning blend of adventure and mysticism, environmentalism and politics, Dune won the first Nebula Award, shared the Hugo Award, and formed the basis of what is undoubtedly the grandest epic in science fiction.
Frank Herbert is the bestselling author of the Dune saga. He was born in Tacoma, Washington, and educated at the University of Washington, Seattle. He worked a wide variety of jobs—including TV cameraman, radio commentator, oyster diver, jungle survival instructor, lay analyst, creative writing teacher, reporter and editor of several West Coast newspapers—before becoming a full-time writer. In 1952, Herbert began publishing science fiction with “Looking for Something?” in Startling Stories. But his emergence as a writer of major stature did not occur until 1965, with the publication of Dune. Dune Messiah, Children of Dune, God Emperor of Dune, Heretics of Dune, and Chapterhouse: Dune followed, completing the saga that the Chicago Tribune would call “one of the monuments of modern science fiction.” Herbert is also the author of some twenty other books, including The White Plague, The Dosadi Experiment, and Destination: Void. The What Do We Know About? series explores the mysterious, the unknown, and the unexplained. Is there a monstrous being that can shapeshift into a wolf during a full moon? Find out all we know about werewolves, wild transformations, silver bullets, and other facts that help us separate reality from legend in this exciting book!Did you know that the first stories about werewolves date back to ancient Greece? For thousands of years, tales about people who can transform into wolves have entertained readers. But werewolves of the past were more than just folktales—many people believed that werewolves were real. One of the earliest known werewolf trials took place in 1428, when a person was accused of being a werewolf! Today, werewolves are frequently featured in movies, TV shows, and books. From the classic novel The Werewolf of Paris to Clawdeen Wolf of Monster High, there is no shortage of wolf-like characters to explore. But are werewolves simply a myth or do they actually roam the forests and woods to live alongside us? Find out before the next full moon.
Nico Medina (he/him) has written eighteen books in the Who HQ series, including What Was World War I?, What Were the Shark Attacks of 1916?, and Where Are the Everglades? He can often be found wandering the old cemetery near his home in Brooklyn, New York…but never after dark.
