Among the best of the many Western series from TV's Golden Era of the 1950s, Wanted: Dead or Alive was introduced as a pilot in 1958 and quickly gained notoriety. The series chronicled the adventures of bounty-hunter Josh Randall (Steve McQueen) as he pursued some of the West's most notorious villains - alive if possible, but dead if necessary. Though not bound to honor the edicts of the law, Josh adhered to a personal code of honor, like many other lone cowboy heroes of the era. He toted a specially designed weapon which he affectionately referred to as his 'Mare's Laig' - a .40 gauge sawed-off carbine. In 94 episodes over three seasons, Wanted: Dead or Alive became one of television's most beloved Westerns. Featuring a faux bronze finish, this 1/3-scale premium polystone casting is made from the finest materials possible.
