ROMUALD GIULIVO was born in 1973 in Provins, a famous French medieval city. After scientific preparatory classes and a Grande École diploma, he became a naval architect, i.e. a manufacturer of shoeboxes that carry oil… As he dreamed of something else, he quickly set sail and escaped the Kafkaesque atmosphere of the business world by writing a series of fantasy novels around the time of the first Harry Potter books.For the past 20 years, he has divided his time between writing and playing experimental music. He publishes novels inspired by current events with L’École des Loisirs and Editions Anne Carrière, and regularly takes to the stage to set some of his texts to voice, music, and drawings with other artists.Alongside his writing activities, he has founded a cultural operator dedicated to the creation of read-alouds based on the works of a collective of authors and artists.

Hurley has been in comic book retail for over two decades, but The Beauty was his first foray into making his own. In addition to comic books, he loves pro wrestling, bad horror movies, Freddie Mercury, hummingbirds, his parents, and pizza. While he’s never actually tried it, he also thinks curling looks like a hell of a lot of fun. Hurley claims his personal heroes are Earl Bassett and Valentine McKee, because they live a life of adventure on their own terms. He also claims that he would brain anyone who showed even the most remote signs of becoming a cannibalistic undead bastard, including his own brother, without a second thought. He’s lived in Joplin, Missouri, for most of his life, and never plans to leave. A former biotechnology researcher, Ema Lupacchino transitioned into comics and has worked on several Italian series, including L'insonne. Alongside her work as a comic book artist, she also illustrated role-playing game manuals. In the North American market, she has worked for many of the major publishers including Marvel, DC, IDW, Dark Horse, Image, and Dynamite on titles that include Wonder Woman, Birds of Prey, Star Trek/Doctor Who, and X-Factor among many others. Throughout her career she has contributed designs, illustrations, and concepts for statues, action figures, theme park graphics, and media promotional campaigns. She was most recently the artist on World’s Finest: Teen Titans and Shazam! with Mark Waid.
