After Pamela Voorhees prevented the summer camp's triumphant re-opening in protest for her son's apparent death there years earlier, the now adult Jason returns to cause mayhem and havoc of his own. In Part III Voorhees makes his way to a nearby homestead and sets upon the teenagers staying there, and it is in this film that he finds and dons the hockey mask that has made the character so iconic. That's the look captured here in stunning ARTFX quality! An unstoppable engine of destruction on the rampage, Jason Voorhees prowls straight ahead and woe betide anyone who gets in his way. The slasher wears bedraggled and ominously ill-fitting garments including black shoes, a black shirt, and blue trousers marred by a bloody wound above his right knee. A hulking creature, Jason leans forward as he walks, his long arms hanging low at his sides. The horror icon has a grossly distended and flabby neck, and the exposed part of his head is bald with tiny and malformed ears. Of course, his face is covered by the frightening white hockey mask with red accents held on with gray straps and silver fasteners. No eyes can be seen peering out of the darkened holes of the mask, which only heightens the creepy factor. Finally, with interchangeable parts you can display your Jason with your preferred weapon for dispatching teenagers: either a machete or hatchet! A mercenary who is proficient with any bladed weapon or firearm and yet petrified of death, Wade Wilson underwent a variety of changes when he was injected with an artificial version of Wolverine's healing factor that transformed him into one of the most dangerous heroes, Deadpool! Sculpted in an aggressive combat pose, this 1/6-scale rendition of the boisterous hero stands just over 12' tall. Deadpool stands atop a rusted catwalk base that evokes the atmosphere of a battle inside an abandoned factory plant. A KOTOBUKIYA Japanese import! The next amazing Ani*Statue from Kotobukiya takes us to the world of 7th Dragon, a series of role-playing games for Nintendo DS from Sega. In this world alien creatures called 'dragons' have taken over the Earth and it's up to heroes from a variety of different classes to fight them and save humanity. The first Ani*Statue from the franchise is the cute and mysterious FORTUNER from the final sequel 7th Dragon III Code: VFD (coming to North America in summer, 2016)! Called the 'astrologer of the battlefield,' the Fortuner uses scythes and the forces of death in the fight against the dragons. This version of the character utilizes the Atlantis style from 12,000 years ago and the standard color scheme in the game's complex character creation matrix. Fortuner stalks her prey carefully, bent over at the waist with her hands outstretched behind her and one leg crossed in front of the other. She never takes her green eyes off of her enemy, staring it down with a penetrating gaze and a determined expression. The girl wears a complex outfit with a short frilly dress and multiple capes and sashes layered over it, all in the beautiful blue, purple, and white color scheme with black, white, and gray accents. Of particular note is the twisting and flowing motion of Fortuner's clothing as well as the sculpting detail calling out the different materials in it, and of course the adorable cat ears with fur that sit atop her head. Sculpted by Shou Kojima, the Atlantean Fortuner is just over 9 inches tall (1/7 scale) in her bent over pose as she stands on a unique display base emblazoned with a symbol from the game.
