Quando, nel 1964, le Giussani diedero a Ginko una compagna, la vollero degna di Eva Kant. Altea di Vallenberg doveva essere indipendente, forte e coraggiosa. Questo era evidentemente frutto di un passato drammatico che poteva avere strascichi nel presente, ma le autrici non indagarono. Lo fecero invece, nel 2002, Mario Gomboli (storico soggettista), Tito Faraci (fumettista eclettico) e Patricia Martinelli (diabolika sceneggiatrice), con Matrimonio in nero. I disegni furono affidati a Emanuele Barison e Pierluigi Cerveglieri, collaudati artisti della serie. Deus ex machina di quell'episodio era la misteriosa setta dei Corvi Neri. Misteriosa al punto che i lettori volevano saperne di più, e di più volevano sapere del passato di Altea. Così, cinque anni dopo, gli stessi Gomboli e Faraci, affiancati da Marco Berardi, soddisfecero quelle curiosità con I misteri di Vallenberg. A disegnarne prologo e epilogo furono ancora Barison e Cerveglieri, mentre la parte più impegnativa fu di Giuseppe Palumbo. (immagine)
