esempio: @author Stan Lee
esempio: @artist John Romita
Jr.
@cover copertinista: cerca solo articoli di questo
copertinista. Per esempio: @cover Alex
Ross
@artista, @editore, @titolo (mentre @cover rimane uguale!)
grammaticalmente simili (Man/Men ad esempio).
articoli presentanti negli ultimi 30 / 90 giorni mentre @mese a quelli
presentati nel mese in corso e @YEAR all'ultimo anno (inteso come "gli
ultimi 365 giorni).
codice a barre.

Who is Phoenix Ikki? When it comes to raw power, Phoenix Ikki is the strongest Bronze Saint. Although recognized as a Bronze Saint of the 20th century, his power places him well above most Silver Saints. Almost the opposite of his younger brother Shun of Andromeda, Ikki is tough, cold, aggressive, and solitary; his Cosmo is unique, filled with hatred, rage, aggression, and incredible powers, yet guided by his deep love and loyalty to his brother, friends, and to Saori Kido. On the Death Queen Island where he was trained, Ikki witnessed the death of Esmeralda, a young woman he fell in love with during his training, and the death happened because of his failure. Esmeralda's death, along with Guilty's indifferent attitude, sparked his hatred for everything and everyone, driving him into a fury that led him to kill his master and obtain the Phoenix Armor. Ikki commanded the Black Saints in a quest for revenge but later regretted it and began to fight for the goddess Athena, helping his friends and brother whenever necessary. He was the first antagonist of the series but later became a powerful ally. Exploring the Phoenix Ikki Regular statue: Noble, complex, and mature, always willing to sacrifice his life for his friends when necessary, the most powerful and furious of the Bronze Saints stands on the stone steps of the Athena's Sanctuary, the protective goddess of the world of men to whom he faithfully serves and protects. Prepared for battle, he has awakened his seventh sense, placing him among the ranks of the Gold Saints and Hades' Judges in terms of power and skill. Iron Studios proudly presents the statue "Phoenix Ikki - Saint Seiya - Art Scale 1/10", with the Saint who, just like in the legend of the bird he is associated with, gains power each time he dies and is reborn, on a base formed by the crumbling steps of the Sanctuary. Iron Studios also brings the Deluxe version "Phoenix Ikki - Saint Seiya - Deluxe Art Scale 1/10", on a base featuring the avatar of the mythical immortal bird that rises from the ashes and names the constellation it represents. Figure details: Part of the Saint Seiya Diorama line by Iron Studios, the statue Phoenix Ikki - Saint Seiya - Art Scale 1/10 measurements are 9.1 in (H) x 7 in (W) x 5.5 in (D) - 2.4 lb., which ensures an impressive display of the figure in any environment. Special features: The statue Phoenix Ikki - Saint Seiya - Art Scale 1/10 by Iron Studios will be produced in limited edition. The diorama base presents rich details inspired by the original references. Materials and finishing of the piece: Just like all the other statues manufactured by Iron Studios, the statue Phoenix Ikki - Saint Seiya - Art Scale 1/10 is made with high-quality materials such as Polystone, and may contain parts in resin, PVC, metal, and fabric. For the finishing, the hand-painted statue ensures a unique and exclusive artistic touch to satisfy any collector. The Saint Seiya series was originally created in 1986 by Japanese mangaka Masami Kurumada, known for specializing in fighting mangas, and adapted into anime by Toei Animation. Presented during the Inside Iron Studios Day of October and now available for Pre-order, check out the other statues from the Saint Seiya collection from Iron Studios, with the already revealed future releases: The Master of Sanctuary, Pegasus Seiya Deluxe, Cygnus Hyoga Deluxe, Dragon Shiryu Deluxe, Andromeda Shun Deluxe, featuring the Bronze Saints in regular versions and the goddess Athena in her Saori Kido Deluxe form. Writer/editor Stan Lee (1922-2018) made comic-book history together with Jack Kirby in 1961 with Fantastic Four #1. The monumental popularity of its new style inspired Lee to develop similarly themed characters — including the Hulk and X-Men with Kirby, Spider-Man and Doctor Strange with Steve Ditko, and Daredevil with Bill Everett. After shepherding his creations through dozens of issues — in some cases a hundred or more — Lee allowed other writers to take over, but he maintained steady editorial control. Eventually, he helped expand Marvel into a multimedia empire. In recent years, his frequent cameo appearances in Marvel’s films established Lee as one of the world’s most famous faces.Larry Lieber helped introduce Ant-Man in Tales to Astonish, Iron Man in Tales of Suspense and Thor in Journey into Mystery. He also wrote Human Torch solo stories for Strange Tales. In 1968, he and his brother, Stan Lee, collaborated on the pivotal Amazing Spider-Man Annual #5, which revealed the secret of Peter Parker’s parents. Lieber both wrote and drew runs on Marvel’s top Western titles: Kid Colt Outlaw, Rawhide Kid and Two-Gun Kid. Later, he scripted Marvel UK’s Captain Britain, also contributing occasional covers.Roy Thomas joined the Marvel Bullpen as a writer and editor under Stan Lee, scripting key runs of nearly every title of the time: Amazing Spider-Man, Avengers, Daredevil, Doctor Strange, Sub-Mariner, Thor, X-Men and more. He wrote the first 10 years of Marvel’s Conan the Barbarian and Savage Sword of Conan; and launched such series as Defenders, Iron Fist, Invaders and Warlock. At DC, he developed All-Star Squadron, Infinity Inc. and related titles, proving instrumental in reviving the Golden Age Justice Society of America. Thomas later became editor of Alter Ego, a magazine devoted to comic-book history, and co-scripted the sword-and-sorcery films Fire and Ice and Conan the Destroyer.Born Jacob Kurtzberg in 1917 to Jewish-Austrian parents on New York’s Lower East Side, Jack Kirby came of age at the birth of the American comic book industry. Beginning his career during the rising tide of Nazism, Kirby and fellow artist Joe Simon created the patriotic hero Captain America. Cap’s exploits on the comic book page entertained millions of American readers at home and inspired U.S. troops fighting the enemy abroad. When World War II ended, the public’s interest in super heroes waned; Kirby turned his artistic talents during the 1950s to other genres, such as monsters, Westerns and crime — as well as the first-of-its-kind Young Romance Comics. In 1961, Kirby returned to super heroes to illustrate what would become the defining issue in Marvel Comics history: Fantastic Four #1. Written by Stan Lee, the team’s debut revolutionized the industry overnight. In contrast to the staid artwork of his predecessors, Kirby’s illustrations seemed to leap off the page with eye-popping action and drama. For the next decade, Kirby and Lee would introduce a mind-boggling array of new characters — including the Avengers, the Hulk, Thor, Iron Man, the Silver Surfer and the X-Men. Taken together, Kirby’s groundbreaking work with Lee formed the foundation of the Marvel Universe. In the early 1970s, Kirby moved to DC Comics, where his boundless creativity continued. He returned to Marvel in 1975, writing and illustrating Captain America and introducing his final major concept, the Eternals. With the explosion of TV animation during the 1980s, Kirby’s talents turned to the small screen. Comic fans quickly recognized his work on such series as Thundarr the Barbarian and Turbo Teen. Kirby died in 1994, but his influence on the comic book industry is as strong as ever. His work has inspired a generation of professional artists and modern writers who continue to explore his vast universe of concepts and characters.Steve Ditko (1927-2018) began his comics career in the anthologies of the 1950s, where his unique style and perspective quickly earned recognition and respect. Recruited to join Stan Lee’s Atlas Comics, later Marvel, in 1958, his nuances contrasted well with Jack Kirby’s bombast. In 1962, in the pages of Amazing Fantasy, Ditko and Lee brought to life Peter Parker, the Amazing Spider-Man, changing the industry forever. The pair’s other iconic co-creation, Doctor Strange, debuted in Strange Tales. Ditko returned to Marvel during the late 1970s and remained for much of the 1980s — co-creating Speedball, Squirrel Girl and other characters.Don Heck (1929-1995) worked for Harvey, Quality, Hillman and other publishers before arriving at Atlas Comics, later Marvel, where he penciled and inked stories for virtually every genre: crime, horror, jungle, romance, war, Western and more. With Stan Lee and others, he launched Iron Man, his supporting cast and his early rogues gallery — including the Black Widow, Hawkeye and the Mandarin. He also succeeded Jack Kirby on Avengers. At DC, his artwork appeared in Justice League of America, Flash, Wonder Woman and other titles.

Doctor Doom has conquered the world, and that spells nothing but trouble for the Fantastic Four! The impossible has happened! Doctor Doom has taken over the world! And the Fantastic Four are not going to let that stand. As Reed locks himself in his lab, trying to solve the Problem of Doom, Ben treats Sue to a trip to NYC with their mutual friend She-Hulk to help get her mind off things. But when Ben, Sue and Jen find themselves on the wrong side of mob justice, they face a choice — and it’s one they will not be able to take back! And when the Thing suffers a terrible (and very public) defeat at Doom’s hands, he’s left lost, adrift and more vulnerable than he has been in years. Just as Ben begins to recover, the FF learn they’re losing their powers — at the one time they need them the most desperately! If they can’t reverse the effect, their powers may be lost forever — and Doom will be unstoppable! Writer Ryan North went the self-publishing route to launch his comics career with Dinosaur Comics, which has run for more than 2,000 web-based strips. He describes it as basically the best job ever. In 2012, he was tapped by BOOM! Studios to write its new Adventure Time series based on the popular cartoon. His Marvel debut came in 2014 when he penned the Young Avengers chapters of Original Sins. North propelled an unlikely character to solo title success with the Eisner Award-winning series The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl and took Lockjaw solo in the pages of Inhumans: Once and Future Kings. He rewrote the Shakespeare rulebook with Romeo and/or Juliet: A Chooseable-Path Adventure.Cory Smith is forging a reputation as a Marvel mainstay on high-profile books such as Avengers, Conan the Barbarian and Guardians of the Galaxy. After stints on titles Weapon H and Nova, as well as one-shots featuring the heroes of the Star Wars “Age of Republic,” Smith joined writer Benjamin Percy on a deliciously dark relaunch of Ghost Rider.

Fans of The Legend of Vox Machina, the record-breaking animated series from Critical Role and Amazon Studios, won’t want to miss the second of three interconnected prequel stories! Written by Marieke Nijkamp (This Is Where It Ends, The Oracle Code, Hawkeye: Kate Bishop), with art by Travis Hymel, colors by Diana Sousa, and letters by Comicraft, all in collaboration with the cast of Critical Role, this original graphic novel shines light on the off-screen storylines of the show!Critically injured and seemingly abandoned by her brother after the murder of her family, Cassandra de Rolo finds herself at the mercy of Whitestone’s usurpers. Much to her shock, Delilah and Sylas Briarwood treat her with the utmost care—almost like a daughter—as she recovers within the relative safety of her own childhood bedroom. On edge and suspicious of their motives, Cassandra adapts to survive while processing the trauma of her family’s demise and Percy’s abandonment. The Briarwoods delight in parading Cassandra around the city in an attempt to convince the despairing populace of their benevolence. Instead of becoming their paragon of obedience, Cassandra unwittingly becomes the guiding light of the rebellion attempting to rescue Whitestone: particularly in the eyes of her childhood friend and rebel leader, Archie. Cassandra vows to do whatever she can to help her beloved home, but are the ghosts of her past powerful enough to overcome the ghosts in her present, or will the Briarwoods’ brainwashing drown out all reason?

A color art collection of exquisitely-illustrated, standalone short stories from the world of ElfQuest.ElfQuest premiered in 1978 as a black-and-white independent comic—with an engaging tale, diverse cast of characters, and alluring art by Wendy Pini—and the title quickly took fandom by storm. In 1990, co-creators Wendy and Richard Pini made a leap into full-color publishing, with the series ElfQuest: Hidden Years. The first five issues contained standalone stories that could be enjoyed by anyone. Wendy Pini created those iconic pages in vibrant watercolor, with each brush stroke, line, and tint now presented in a unique gallery edition hardcover to present the full effect of her original art pages, which are now permanently housed at Columbia University’s Rare Book & Manuscript Library for preservation and study. Each of the five color issues within the ElfQuest: Hidden Years Gallery Edition hardcover are standalone stories, unlettered to offer an unprecedented look at Wendy Pini’s lush artwork, complete with her margin notes, color tests, and behind-the-scenes material. This volume is a powerful example of the incredible world-building and visual storytelling in ElfQuest that has set the standard in fantasy comics for decades.

Wendy Pini was born Wendy Fletcher in San Francisco. Growing up on an isolated ranch in Gilroy, California, Wendy's imagination was fueled by all forms of fantasy and mythology. At an early age she began spinning her own tales of elves, monkey-gods, aliens and sorcerers. While her artistic talents were influenced by of turn-of-the-century illustrators, film and TV animation, her storytelling abilities evolved from a love of Shakespeare, Japanese history and legend, modern fantasy and the epic poetry of the Ramayana. In 1977, a deeply personal project called ELFQUEST was born. As the first continuing fantasy/adventure graphic novel series in America to be co-created, written and illustrated by a woman, ELFQUEST became a phenomenon in the comics industry. Appealing to comics and sci-fi/fantasy fans alike, it attracted a unique and unprecedented audience, an equal mix of male and female readers. Over three million copies of the collected graphic novel volumes have been sold to date.Richard Pini was born in 1950, in New Haven, Connecticut. He attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), receiving a degree in astronomy and astrophysics. Always fan of science fiction, at college he found new diversion in comic books, and it was in the letters pages of “The Silver Surfer” in 1969 that he chanced upon a letter written by one Wendy Fletcher. A correspondence began, spanning a period of four years. The two eventually married in 1972, and Wendy embarked upon a career as an illustrator for sci-fi magazines. Richard’s degree in astronomy from MIT led Richard to a position at Boston’s Hayden Planetarium as lecturer, photographer, script writer, and special effects technician. In 2019, both Wendy and Richard were inducted into the Eisner Awards Hall of Fame for their lifetime achievements.

A poignant and funny time-skip manga about grief, art, and love, like Orange meets Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun, from the creator behind the Netflix miniseries Switched. Complete in five volumes. Mahoro's high school manga club had two members: her and a classmate who passed away months after they met. Now, she's an award-winning pro, but what no one else knows is that she stole the ideas for her hit manga from the notebook her dead classmate left behind. When fate gives her an opportunity to redeem herself, she'll do whatever it takes to return Yukishima's story--and save him from dying.Manga artist Mahoro Haruta has always struggled with imposter syndrome, and for good reason. Her entire career is a lie; her hit, debut series based on ideas left behind by her late friend Yukishima, who passed away when they were in high school. When Mahoro suddenly finds herself back in time, she realizes this is her chance to redeem herself and does all she can to help Yukishima fulfill his dream of making manga. With her knowledge from the future, Mahoro thinks she is making all the right choices—except Yukishima still abruptly passes away, this time earlier than he was supposed to. As Mahoro despairs that her attempt to help may have backfired, she finds herself back in time yet again—and Yukishima alive once more. Is she now stuck in a time loop? How can she possibly break it? What can she do now, when one wrong choice might just lead to another tragedy?
