esempio: @author Stan Lee
esempio: @artist John Romita
Jr.
@cover copertinista: cerca solo articoli di questo
copertinista. Per esempio: @cover Alex
Ross
@artista, @editore, @titolo (mentre @cover rimane uguale!)
grammaticalmente simili (Man/Men ad esempio).
articoli presentanti negli ultimi 30 / 90 giorni mentre @mese a quelli
presentati nel mese in corso e @YEAR all'ultimo anno (inteso come "gli
ultimi 365 giorni).
codice a barre.

Roger Stern enjoyed well-regarded runs on Amazing Spider-Man, in which he introduced Captain Marvel (Monica Rambeau) and the Hobgoblin; Avengers; and Captain America. He launched West Coast Avengers and wrote numerous tie-in miniseries starring Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. At DC, he relaunched Atom and co-created Starman (Will Payton) before participating in one of comics’ most shocking events: the 1992 “Death of Superman.” He later returned to Marvel to write Amazing Spider-Man and related titles.John Buscema (1927-2002) literally wrote the book on being a Marvel artist — namely, How To Draw Comics the Marvel Way — and few were better qualified. His career dated back to the Timely/Atlas era of the late ’40s and early ’50s. Soon after beginning the Marvel Age of Comics, Stan Lee recruited Buscema from the advertising field to the Marvel Bullpen. Buscema followed a long run on Avengers with the long-anticipated first Silver Surfer series. He subsequently succeeded Jack Kirby on Fantastic Four, Thor and other titles. By the time of his retirement in 1996, Buscema had penciled nearly every Marvel title — including his personal favorite, Conan the Barbarian.Veteran Canadian artist David Ross may be best known for his work on Avengers West Coast, Inhumans and Daredevil for Marvel; other credits include Star Wars: Dark Times, Aliens vs. Predator, JLA and Birds of Prey.Steve Ditko (1927-2018) began his comics career in the anthologies of the 1950s, where his unique style and perspective quickly earned recognition and respect. Recruited to join Stan Lee’s Atlas Comics, later Marvel, in 1958, his nuances contrasted well with Jack Kirby’s bombast. In 1962, in the pages of Amazing Fantasy, Ditko and Lee brought to life Peter Parker, the Amazing Spider-Man, changing the industry forever. The pair’s other iconic co-creation, Doctor Strange, debuted in Strange Tales. Ditko returned to Marvel during the late 1970s and remained for much of the 1980s — co-creating Speedball, Squirrel Girl and other characters.

An award-winning writer since 1973, Marv Wolfman succeeded mentor Roy Thomas as Marvel’s editor in chief. Well-remembered for his Tomb of Dracula scripts, he also enjoyed runs on Dr. Strange, Fantastic Four and Nova, among other titles. New Teen Titans, his 1980s collaboration with George Pérez, became DC Comics’ biggest hit in years. Wolfman and Pérez literally rewrote DC history with Crisis on Infinite Earths. He subsequently penned episodes for such animated TV series as G.I. Joe, Transformers and others.Jim Shooter entered the comic-book field at age 14 as writer and penciler of the “Legion of Super-Heroes” feature in Adventure Comics. Later moving to Marvel, he wrote Daredevil, Ghost Rider, Marvel Team-Up, Marvel Two-in-One and other titles. As editor in chief, he tightened Marvel’s publishing schedule; added new titles; nurtured fresh talent; launched the New Universe; and wrote the 12-issue Secret Wars and its sequel, Secret Wars II. Eventually leaving Marvel, Shooter wrote for Valiant, Defiant and Broadway Comics before entering different creative fields at Phobos Entertainment and TGS Inc. His DC work on Detective Comics and Night Force is equally well remembered. During the Golden Age, he drew multiple war stories for Marvel and DC alike. Colan has earned several Eagle Awards and had professional art showings in New York City. His work on Ed Brubaker’s Captain America at the age of 82 drew well-deserved raves.

His comic work for Marvel includes long runs on X-Men Legacy and Ultimate Fantastic Four, as well as the Spellbinders and Sigil miniseries. Having written five Felix Castor novels and (as Adam Blake) two mainstream thrillers, his most recent book is the post-apocalyptic coming-of-age story The Girl with all the Gifts. His feature-film and TV-series work includes a movie adaptation of Jonathan Trigell's novel Genus.Mark Millar is the New York Times best-selling writer of Wanted, the Kick-Ass series, The Secret Service, Jupiter’s Legacy, Nemesis, Superior, Supercrooks, American Jesus, MPH and Starlight. Wanted, Kick-Ass, Kick-Ass 2 and The Secret Service (as Kingsman: The Secret Service) have been adapted into feature films. His DC Comics work includes the seminal Superman: Red Son. At Marvel Comics, he has written The Ultimates, selected by Time magazine as the comic book of the decade; the acclaimed Wolverine saga “Old Man Logan;” and Civil War, the industry’s biggest-selling series in almost two decades. Millar has served as producer and executive producer on previous adaptations of his works and, following the purchase of his Millarworld comic line by Netflix in 2017, remains the company’s president. For his services to film and literature, he received the prestigious honor of being made a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) by the Queen in 2013.Artist Jae Lee made a name for himself on Marvel’s Namor the Sub-Mariner, his gothic style a stark departure from traditional comic art. After a short X-Factor arc, Lee decamped to the newly formed Image Comics — illustrating the Youngblood Strikefile and WildC.A.T.s Trilogy miniseries, and introducing his own creation in Hellshock. In 1998, he won an Eisner Award for his distinctive work with writer Paul Jenkins on the Marvel Knights series Inhumans. He and Jenkins reteamed in 2000 for Sentry, the multilayered tale of a deliberately forgotten Silver Age hero. Continuing his Marvel Knights work, Lee illustrated Grant Morrison’s Fantastic Four: 1234, an arc of Captain America and the Hulk/Thing: Hard Knocks limited series. After drawing an arc of Ultimate Fantastic Four, Lee was tapped to lend his distinctive style to Marvel’s adaptations of Stephen King’s Dark Tower novels.Artist Greg Land first gained notice with his work on DC’s Batman-family titles Nightwing and Birds of Prey. Moving to Marvel after illustrating CrossGen’s Sojourn, he drew Phoenix: Endsong. Next up was a run on Ultimate Fantastic Four that included the first rendering of the Marvel Zombies. Subsequently, Land penciled the blockbuster limited series Ultimate Power before becoming a regular artist on Uncanny X-Men. He subsequently drew a trilogy of Symbiote Spider-Man limited series with writer Peter David.

Jeph Loeb is an Emmy Award-nominated and Eisner Award-winning writer/producer. In television, his many credits include Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Heroes, Lost and Smallville; and in film, Teen Wolf and Commando. He has written nearly every major comics icon, including the Avengers, Hulk, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Captain America, Batman and Superman. From 2010 to 2019, he was Marvel's executive vice president, head of television, in which role he executive produced multiple series for Netflix, beginning with Daredevil in 2015.Nick Spencer broke into the comic-book industry with Existence 2.0, published by Image in 2009 and slated for adaptation into a feature film by Paramount Pictures. He has since worked on a sequel, Existence 3.0, and the ongoing series Morning Glories and Bedlam for Image, as well as T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents for DC. For Marvel, he wrote Secret Avengers, Iron Man 2.0 and Ultimate Comics X-Men before relaunching Secret Avengers and launching the villain-centric Superior Foes of Spider-Man for Marvel NOW! Spencer brought the comedic-underdog tone of the latter book to the pages of Ant-Man, and then shocked readers by turning the Sentinel of Liberty against the world in the pages of Captain America: Steve Rogers, Captain America: Sam Wilson and the event series Secret Empire.Since his beginnings with Ann Nocenti in Longshot (which earned him a Russ Manning Award), Arthur Adams has most often displayed his distinctive and detail-intensive art in miniseries or one-shots (including several Uncanny X-Men Annuals) — along with brief but memorable stints on Fantastic Four, X-Factor and other titles. He co-created “Jonni Future” for Alan Moore’s Tom Strong’s Terrific Tales, and Dark Horse Comics has published his creator-owned Monkeyman and O’Brien. Renowned for cover art at Marvel, DC and elsewhere, Adams has also illustrated trading cards, posters and shirts, among other products; his art can be found in toy design, film advertisements and a series of X-Men-themed Campbell Soup labels. Jeph Loeb’s Hulk series featured a string of issues in which Adams provided interior art.Paco Medina has illustrated a range of Marvel Comics — including New X-Men: Academy X, Captain Marvel, Thor, Venom, Marvel Team-Up, New Mutants and New Warriors, as well as relaunches of Deadpool and X-Men. Firmly established as a Marvel mainstay, Medina has enjoyed lengthy runs on Ultimate Comics X-Men, Nova and Legendary Star-Lord, as well as a major role in the Avengers storyline “No Surrender.”

This physical edition of The Sandman from Brilliance Publishing contains a beautifully crafted booklet outlining episodes, characters, and voice talent, and features original Sandman graphic novel cover art from Dave McKean. It also includes 3 exclusive Sandman stickers created with exclusive character art from Audible. Hailed by the Los Angeles Times Magazine as 'the greatest epic in the history of comic books,' The Sandman changed the game with its dark, literary world of fantasy and horror-creating a global, cultural phenomenon in the process. At long last, Audible and DC present the first-ever audio production of The New York Times best-selling series written by acclaimed storyteller Neil Gaiman (who also serves as co-executive producer). Adapted and directed by multi-award-winner (and frequent Gaiman collaborator) Dirk Maggs, and performed by an ensemble cast with James McAvoy (IT, IT Chapter Two, X-Men: First Class, Split) in the title role, this first installment of an original audio series will transport you to a world that rewrites the rules of audio entertainment the way that The Sandman originally redefined the graphic novel. When The Sandman, also known as Lord Morpheus-the immortal king of dreams, stories and the imagination-is pulled from his realm and imprisoned on Earth by a nefarious cult, he languishes for decades before finally escaping. Once free, he must retrieve the three 'tools' that will restore his power and help him to rebuild his dominion, which has deteriorated in his absence. As the multi-threaded story unspools, The Sandman descends into Hell to confront Lucifer (Michael Sheen), chases rogue nightmares who have escaped his realm, and crosses paths with an array of characters from DC comic books, ancient myths, and real-world history, including: inmates of Gotham City's Arkham Asylum, Doctor Destiny, the muse Calliope, the three Fates, William Shakespeare (Arthur Darvill), and many more. A powerhouse supporting cast helps translate this masterwork into a sonic experience worthy of its legacy, including Riz Ahmed, Kat Dennings, Taron Egerton, Samantha Morton, Bebe Neuwirth, Andy Serkis, and more. Setting the stage for their performance is an unprecedented cinematic soundscape featuring an original musical score by British Academy Award winner James Hannigan. Fans will especially revel in a new twist for the audio adaptation: Neil Gaiman himself serves as the narrator. Follow him as he leads listeners along a winding path of myths, imagination and, often, terror. Even in your wildest dreams, you've never heard anything like this. This first installment of the audio series The Sandman adapts volumes 1-3 of the graphic novel series (Preludes & Nocturnes, The Doll's House, and Dream Country). Based on characters created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth, and Mike Dringenberg. Special Notes: Bonus materials including exclusive Sandman character stickers and a 24 page booklet with original Dave McKean artwork. 10 hours and 55 minute running time on 12 discs. Please note: This content is not for kids. It is for mature audiences only. Just like the original graphic novels, this audio adaptation contains explicit language and graphic violence, as well as strong sexual content and themes. Discretion is advised.
