esempio: @author Stan Lee
esempio: @artist John Romita
Jr.
@cover copertinista: cerca solo articoli di questo
copertinista. Per esempio: @cover Alex
Ross
@artista, @editore, @titolo (mentre @cover rimane uguale!)
grammaticalmente simili (Man/Men ad esempio).
articoli presentanti negli ultimi 30 / 90 giorni mentre @mese a quelli
presentati nel mese in corso e @YEAR all'ultimo anno (inteso come "gli
ultimi 365 giorni).
codice a barre.

by Pascal Girard Nicolas is a moving debut work by Quebecois cartoonist Pascal Girard. The book is presented as a series of short autobiographical vignettes that take place after the childhood death of his younger brother, Nicolas, who passed away in 1990. Each episode taken from Girard's childhood, adolescence, and young adulthood offers a glimpse into his multifaceted and ongoing process of reckoning, as he struggles to reconcile the magnitude of this tragedy with the minutiae of his daily experience of loss. Girard treats his subject with a spare line and a refreshingly matter-of-fact tone that prove to be all the more moving in their honest simplicity. Ultimately, Nicolas unfolds as a delicate portrait of the many faces of mourning, identified with surprising humor and pathos. (immagine) Categoria: Books: graphic novels

by John Wagner; art by Various The critically acclaimed series takes a more-reverent-than-usual turn as a host of talented artists, including Joe Sacco, Rick Geary, David Lloyd, Sherri Flenniken, Rafael Kayanan, and Colleen Doran adapt the lives (and deaths) of famous and fascinating believers, such as Jesus, St. George, Joan of Arc, Thomas Moore; two modern-day martyrs slain during the Holocaust, and the legendary tales of Bartholemew, who fought and imprisoned demons, and St. Vitus, who calmed the lions attacking him in the Coliseum and emerged from the flames of torture unscathed. This book explores the historical tortures inflicted on the early Christian community by the Romans; the oppression that followed the Church of England's split from the Vatican; and the backlash against European evangelists in the New World. Approximate Continuum Comics brings American readers the first portion of the 'Trondheim autobio trilogy' that also comprises the Eisner-nominated 'At Loose Ends' meditation serialized in Mome (which will be released as a graphic novel in 2012) and the ongoing 'Little Nothings' series of short slice-of-life stories (three to date from NBM Publishing), as well as the first three chapters serialized in the Nimrod comic book. In Approximate Continuum Comics, Trondheim's typically graceful, confident cartooning shows him wrestling with his own demons (sometimes, in dream sequences, literally) and an often malevolent world, while trying to maintain his rising career as one of Europe's most beloved cartoonists.
