At the forefront of Kotobukiya's new ARTFX Premier series is the god of thunder, Thor Odinson from Marvel's Avengers Fresh Start series! This 1/10 scale statue was crafted down to the finest detail using digital sculpting, giving this expertly crafted collector's piece an exquisite appearance alongside lifelike detail. The craftsmanship in this piece continues from the sculpting to the painting. Unlike other pieces which follow the pattern of a simple base coat with shading. ARTFX Premier re-evaluates the standards for figure painting. Each individual piece of the statue is layered with several types of paint, giving the finished product an unprecedented sense of beauty and depth. With these techniques in mind, Kotobukiya's craftsmen imagined what kind of materials may come out of the realm of Asgard to create the unique paint job on Thor's metal and leather armor, which transforms in color depending on the angle as it catches light. Measuring just under 3.5 centimeters (1.5 inches) in length, the statue's face is meticulously crafted and full of photographic lifelike detail. The statue comes in sophisticated packaging overflowing with elegant details, including a marble inspired motif as well as an original illustration based on the figure. Additionally, these limited edition statues will come with a certificate that includes a collector number printed in gold, certifying each piece as a one-of-a-kind original. Acme X-Ray, published as a giclee on paper, is inspired by 'Dynamite Diagnosis,' a limited-edition sericel produced in 1993 by Warner Bros. Animation Art. The character setup was originally created in-house by Warner Bros. animators working within their Classic Animation department. The background was originally rendered by veteran background painter, Hector Martinez, who, in addition to the Looney Tunes, has also worked on the Batman and Superman animated series. The details - Bugs' and Daffy's diplomas from Acme University and Quack University, respectfully, and Taz's look of shock of the x-ray that reveals a lit stick of dynamite inside his stomach - bring to life the inspired lunacy of Warners' Looney Tunes.
