The first in a new series of elite scale ARTFX Statues and stepping right off the screen from Friday the 13th Part III is JASON VOORHEES! After Pamela Voorhees prevented the summer camp's triumphant re-opening in protest for her son's apparent death there years earlier, the now adult Jason returns to cause mayhem and havoc of his own. In Part III Voorhees makes his way to a nearby homestead and sets upon the teenagers staying there, and it is in this film that he finds and dons the hockey mask that has made the character so iconic. That's the look captured here in stunning ARTFX quality! An unstoppable engine of destruction on the rampage, Jason Voorhees prowls straight ahead and woe betide anyone who gets in his way. The slasher wears bedraggled and ominously ill-fitting garments including black shoes, a black shirt, and blue trousers marred by a bloody wound above his right knee. A hulking creature, Jason leans forward as he walks, his long arms hanging low at his sides. The horror icon has a grossly distended and flabby neck, and the exposed part of his head is bald with tiny and malformed ears. Of course, his face is covered by the frightening white hockey mask with red accents held on with gray straps and silver fasteners. No eyes can be seen peering out of the darkened holes of the mask, which only heightens the creepy factor. Finally, with interchangeable parts you can display your Jason with your preferred weapon for dispatching teenagers: either a machete or hatchet! Sculpted by Naoya Muto, Friday the 13th Part III Jason Voorhees stands a hulking 11 inches tall (1/6 scale) on a detailed terrain display base. Sculpted by Erick Sosa, this finely crafted statue depicts a grieving Wolverine who has escaped from the research facility where he was subjected to Experiment X, a brutal experiment that involved bonding the mutant's skeleton with admantium and erasing his memories. The statue recreates the scene where the fugitive mutant is running down a snowy mountain road after his escape, which is considered to a crucial point in the character's storyline. The diorama base is modeled after the harsh winter environment in the remote area of Alberta, Canada where Department K is located. Although the motif of the statue differs from the statues of the -Danger Room Sessions- series, Weapon X still looks great displayed alongside the other X-Men Fine Art Statues. A mercenary who is proficient with any bladed weapon or firearm and yet petrified of death, Wade Wilson underwent a variety of changes when he was injected with an artificial version of Wolverine's healing factor that transformed him into one of the most dangerous heroes, Deadpool! Sculpted in an aggressive combat pose, this 1/6-scale rendition of the boisterous hero stands just over 12' tall. Deadpool stands atop a rusted catwalk base that evokes the atmosphere of a battle inside an abandoned factory plant. The statue also comes with an assortment of the hero's favorite weapons, with holsters for his katanas, three handguns, and the knife he keeps in the sheath on his right leg, as well as interchangeable hand parts allowing him to hold the weapons. Kotobukiya has introduced the latest installments in their stylish Devil May Cry series as Dante and Nero are joining their line of ARTFX J 1/8-scale statues. Dante appears as if he has jumped straight from the game, holding his signature blade Rebellion at the ready, an aloof expression on his face. Each detail of the character's appearance has been carefully recreated, from the leather texture on his coat and trousers to the metal buttons and fasteners on his costume. Rebellion is also faithfully recreated down to the intricate details of the skeleton on the hilt, which has a different design on the top and bottom; just one example of why this piece cannot be fully appreciated from one single angle.
