From Kotobukiya. Characters from the American cultural phenomenon My Little Pony are joining the Bishoujo series! The next character to join the lineup is the serious and studious protagonist of the series, Twilight Sparkle! She has been beautifully rendered into the Bishoujo style by Bishoujo series illustrator Shunya Yamashita. Based on her human appearance in Equestria Girls, the Bishoujo rendition of Twilight Sparkle wears a stylish school girl inspired outfit. The Bishoujo's iconic long straight hair is recreated flowing lightly around her. Twilight Sparkle's kindness and delicacy are expertly translated into statue form, down to the tips of the fingers perched lightly on the frame of her glasses. The statue also includes a pony version of Twilight Sparkle, who is floating lightly at the Bishoujo's feet. Sculpted by Erick Sosa, this finely crafted statue depicts a grieving Wolverine who has escaped from the research facility where he was subjected to Experiment X, a brutal experiment that involved bonding the mutant's skeleton with admantium and erasing his memories. The statue recreates the scene where the fugitive mutant is running down a snowy mountain road after his escape, which is considered to a crucial point in the character's storyline. The diorama base is modeled after the harsh winter environment in the remote area of Alberta, Canada where Department K is located. The craftsmanship in this piece continues from the sculpting to the painting. Unlike other pieces which follow the pattern of a simple base coat with shading. ARTFX Premier re-evaluates the standards for figure painting. Each individual piece of the statue is layered with several types of paint, giving the finished product an unprecedented sense of beauty and depth. With these techniques in mind, Kotobukiya's craftsmen imagined what kind of materials may come out of the realm of Asgard to create the unique paint job on Thor's metal and leather armor, which transforms in color depending on the angle as it catches light. Kotobukiya has introduced the latest installments in their stylish Devil May Cry series as Dante and Nero are joining their line of ARTFX J 1/8-scale statues. Dante appears as if he has jumped straight from the game, holding his signature blade Rebellion at the ready, an aloof expression on his face. Each detail of the character's appearance has been carefully recreated, from the leather texture on his coat and trousers to the metal buttons and fasteners on his costume. Rebellion is also faithfully recreated down to the intricate details of the skeleton on the hilt, which has a different design on the top and bottom; just one example of why this piece cannot be fully appreciated from one single angle. Sculpted in an aggressive combat pose, this 1/6-scale rendition of the boisterous hero stands just over 12' tall. Deadpool stands atop a rusted catwalk base that evokes the atmosphere of a battle inside an abandoned factory plant. The statue also comes with an assortment of the hero's favorite weapons, with holsters for his katanas, three handguns, and the knife he keeps in the sheath on his right leg, as well as interchangeable hand parts allowing him to hold the weapons.
