Kelly Thompson has a degree in sequential art from the Savannah College of Art & Design and wrote the cult hit Jem and the Holograms for IDW. She published her first graphic novel, Heart in a Box, with Dark Horse in 2015 and has written two novels: Storykiller (2014) and The Girl Who Would Be King (2012). Thompson debuted at Marvel in 2015, co-writing Captain Marvel & the Carol Corps and A-Force. Acclaimed author and screenwriter Benjamin Percy broke into comics in 2014 with a two-issue Batman story arc in Detective Comics. New Teen Titans, his 1980s collaboration with George Pérez, became DC Comics’ biggest hit in years. Wolfman and Pérez literally rewrote DC history with Crisis on Infinite Earths. He subsequently penned episodes for such animated TV series as G.I. Joe, Transformers and others.Few writers/editors influenced Marvel more than Mark Gruenwald (1953-1996). Writer Al Ewing began his career on the British anthology 2000 AD. Since breaking into American comics, he has written Jennifer Blood and spin-off series The Ninjettes for Dynamite Entertainment, and the Age of Ultron tie-in issues of Avengers Assemble for Marvel Comics. Ewing’s novels include the Pax Britannia series as well as The Fictional Man. With artist Greg Land, he relaunched Marvel’s Mighty Avengers; for All-New Marvel NOW!, gave the god of mischief a new assignment in Loki: Agent of Asgard. Ewing then took revamped versions of New Avengers and Ultimates, debuted U.S.Avengers; and joined the writing team for the “No Surrender” storyline in Avengers, which brought the Hulk back from the dead. His subsequent titles include Valkyrie, Guardians of the Galaxy, Defenders, the event series Empyre and the critically revered smash hit Immortal Hulk. Ewing has cemented his place in the Krakoan era of the X-Men titles comics with S.W.O.R.D. and X-Men: Red.Torunn Grønbekk is a comic-book writer and portrait painter from Norway who is fast building a reputation for epic storytelling at Marvel Comics. Grønbekk has demonstrated a flair both for Norse myth — in the pages of Thor, Valkyrie: Jane Foster, Mighty Valkyries and Jane Foster and the Mighty Thor — and symbiotic lore, in Venom and Carnage.Artist Iban Coello made a digital splash with Dungeon Siege III for Dark Horse, and Batman Beyond 2.0 and Justice League Beyond 2.0 for DC, where he also worked on the print title Superboy. Coello has made his mark at Marvel on titles such as Deadpool & the Mercs for Money and Captain America and the Mighty Avengers. He is quickly earning a reputation for symbiotic super-heroics, including on the blockbuster limited series Venomverse and Venomized.
