esempio: @author Stan Lee
@artist artista: cerca solo articoli di questo artista. Per
esempio: @artist John Romita
Jr.
@cover copertinista: cerca solo articoli di questo
copertinista. Per esempio: @cover Alex
Ross
@publisher editore: cerca solo articoli di questo editore.
Per esempio: @publisher Marvel
Nota:1 potete anche usare le varianti in italiani: @autore,
@artista, @editore, @titolo (mentre @cover rimane uguale!)
La ricerca tenterà di individuare termini somiglianti oppure
grammaticalmente simili (Man/Men ad esempio).
articoli presentanti negli ultimi 30 / 90 giorni mentre @mese a quelli
presentati nel mese in corso e @YEAR all'ultimo anno (inteso come "gli
ultimi 365 giorni).
È possibile effettuare la ricerca anche inserendo direttamente il
codice a barre.

Writer Daniel Way has been one of Marvel’s most prolific and influential writers, making a career of crafting defining stories for some of the House of Ideas’ most popular characters. He is best known for lengthy runs on Ghost Rider and Deadpool, and took a turn at Marvel’s most deadly father-son team in Wolverine: Origins and Dark Wolverine (co-written with Marjorie Liu). Way has also helped shed light on some of the Marvel Universe’s darker corners, bringing back Starr the Slayer, introducing the world to Hit-Monkey, showcasing the assassin Bullseye’s “Greatest Hits,” declaring open season on Sabretooth and exploring the world of Supreme Power’s ruthless vigilante Nighthawk in various limited series, as well as adding Deadpool to the roster of his reinvention of the Thunderbolts. The late artist Steve Dillon had his first paying work at age 16 for the UK-based Hulk Weekly magazine. Like many of his British contemporaries, Dillon honed his skills on the legendary 2000AD. In 1993, Dillon joined writer Garth Ennis on DC/Vertigo’s Hellblazer. Their work earned overwhelming praise from the title’s devoted fan base and led to a second collaboration on Preacher, which earned an “A” grade from Entertainment Weekly and was later turned into a TV series on AMC. After Preacher’s 66-issue run, Dillon again teamed with Ennis on a revival of Marvel’s classic antihero, Punisher. Dillon later illustrated Daniel Way’s Wolverine: Origins, Ennis’ Punisher: War Zone, Mark Millar’s Ultimate Avengers and Jason Aaron’s PunisherMAX. Dillon again drew Frank Castle for Marvel NOW! in the relaunched Thunderbolts and later in All-New, All-Different Marvel’s The Punisher.

He collaborated with his wife, Louise, on both X-Factor and Wildstorm’s World of Warcraft, later returning to Marvel to illustrate Brian Michael Bendis’ Avengers.Jim Lee is perhaps today’s hottest comic-book artist. Since the late ’80s, his work for Marvel, DC and Image — the company he helped found — has set trends that survive to this day. After honing his skills with memorable runs on Alpha Flight and Punisher War Journal, Lee rose to prominence on Uncanny X-Men. Lee then revamped the mutant team’s look and helped launch the second X-Men series, whose first issue remains one of the best-selling comic books of all time. In 1992, he and other artists formed Image Comics. Lee’s group of titles, published under the Wildstorm Productions imprint, included the mega-popular WildC.A.T.s, Stormwatch and Gen13. Under Wildstorm’s sub-imprint Homage Comics, he published Kurt Busiek’s Astro City and Strangers in Paradise, both of which became major fan favorites. Lee returned to Marvel in 1996, relaunching Fantastic Four as part of the “Heroes Reborn” event. Subsequently selling Wildstorm to DC Comics, Lee went on to pencil Batman, Superman and WildC.A.T.s. Hamilton’s novels, he was thrilled to work on the Anita Blake comic-book adaptation. After establishing himself on Eternity’s Ex-Mutants and First’s Badger, Ron Lim went cosmic with a six-year penciling run on Silver Surfer, followed by a collaboration with Jim Starlin on the Warlock/Thanos Infinity multi-miniseries saga. With writer Tom DeFalco, he helped create the look and characters of the MC2 universe, while he explored a different Marvel future during a 35-issue run on X-Men 2099. Lim’s other Marvel credits include Captain America, Spider-Man Unlimited and Venom: Lethal Protector.Artist Mike Deodato Jr. was already a renowned illustrator in his native Brazil when he got his big break in American comics in 1994, illustrating DC’s Wonder Woman. For Marvel, he drew such series as Avengers, Elektra, Spider-Man and Incredible Hulk. After refining his inimitable style on the creator-owned Jade Warriors, he returned to Marvel for a second turn on Incredible Hulk, with writer Bruce Jones, and a stint on J. Michael Straczynski’s Amazing Spider-Man. Deodato has forged an association with the Avengers on various titles — including collaborations with Brian Michael Bendis, Ed Brubaker and Jonathan Hickman — and demonstrated his superstar status on the event book Original Sin. Deodato joined writer Jeff Lemire in exploring one of Marvel's greatest villains in Thanos.

After runs on Daredevil and X-Men, Kelly departed for DC Comics, where he delivered award-winning work on Action Comics and Superboy. He subsequently returned to Marvel, collaborating with the “Spider-Man Brain Trust” and penning several memorable arcs on Amazing Spider-Man. His subsequent titles include Valkyrie, Guardians of the Galaxy, Defenders, the event series Empyre and the critically revered smash hit Immortal Hulk. Ewing has cemented his place in the Krakoan era of the X-Men titles comics with S.W.O.R.D. and X-Men: Red.Jesús Saiz made his name with Spanish readers with the fanzine 451º, and then the Azoth miniseries. His work for DC Comics includes Birds of Prey, Swamp Thing and an Eisner Award-nominated collaboration with J. Michael Straczynski on The Brave & the Bold. Saiz moved to Marvel to illustrate Captain America: Steve Rogers, which he followed with such titles as Doctor Strange, Star Wars and Punisher.Artist Ed McGuinness came to prominence with his work on Harris Comics’ Vampirella and Marvel’s Deadpool. At Awesome Entertainment, McGuinness participated in a Fighting American revamp with writer Jeph Loeb, who would become a longtime collaborator. A short run on WildStorm’s Mr. Majestic led to a longer one on DC Comics’ Superman and the launch of Superman/Batman with Loeb. Back at Marvel, McGuinness reunited with Loeb for Fallen Son: The Death of Captain America, Hulk and Avengers: X-Sanction before launching Amazing X-Men with Jason Aaron. Writer/artist Larry Hama got his start as a penciler before becoming a respected editor and later a writer during the ’80s with his career-defining work on G.I. Joe and a memorable run on Wolverine. Through the years, Hama proved his versatility writing Avengers, Blaze, Elektra, Generation X, The Punisher: War Zone and multiple Venom miniseries. When Devil’s Due, IDW and Image Comics in turn obtained the G.I. Joe license, Hama revisited his iconic Marvel run, continuing where he had left off years earlier and bringing the series to — and past — a record-breaking three hundred issues. At Continuity Comics, he created Bucky O’Hare, launching a franchise that extended to animation, video games and a toy line. Hama recently revisited his era helming the adventures of Logan with the Wolverine: Patch limited series. After beginning his writing career on DC horror titles, David Michelinie moved to Marvel. He and co-writer/inker Bob Layton established Iron Man’s battle with alcoholism, use of specialized armor variants and vendetta against Doctor Doom, as well as other aspects of the character that endure to this day. Michelinie’s unique blend of action, suspense and humor distinguished not only Iron Man, but also Amazing Spider-Man. With artist Todd McFarlane, he introduced the vicious vigilante Venom; he also wrote the first Venom limited series, Lethal Protector. Michelinie’s run as Amazing writer was second in length only to that of Stan Lee himself, while he also authored tie-in titles Spectacular Spider-Man, Web of Spider-Man and Spider-Man. He moved from Marvel’s flagship character to DC’s with a stint on Superman’s Action Comics, later returning to the world of Tony Stark for writing collaborations with Bob Layton on Iron Man: Legacy of Doom and Iron Man: The End. Dan Slott has built a loyal fan base by combining old-school fun with stories and characterizations friendly to new readers. Following his run on She-Hulk, Slott moved into the upper echelon of Marvel writers, launching Avengers: The Initiative and taking the reins on Mighty Avengers from Brian Michael Bendis. When Marvel gave Spider-Man a fresh start in 2008, Slott was one of several rotating writers on the thrice-monthly Amazing Spider-Man. Slott became the writer most closely identified with the web-slinger’s “Brand New Day” era, and the title hit the “Big Time” when he took over as full-time writer for a decade-long run. Slott has also turned his talents to other iconic Marvel heroes — including soaring the spaceways with Silver Surfer; helming Tony Stark: Iron Man toward Iron Man 2020; and masterminding the glorious return of Fantastic Four, leading to his long-awaited “Reckoning War.” In 2022, Slott made his way back to the Spider-Verse, teaming with legendary penciler Mark Bagley on Spider-Man and introducing the sidekick sensation Spider-Boy.Patrick “Patch” Zircher got his start illustrating RPG-based comics for Eclipse and 3D comics for Blackthorne during the late 1980s, and drew Now Comics’ Green Hornet. He has been an artist in demand ever since. His notable Marvel credits across the decades include New Warriors, Venom: Along Came a Spider, Star Trek: Early Voyages, Iron Man: The Iron Age, Thunderbolts, Cable & Deadpool, Iron Man, Hulk, Mystery Men and Savage Avengers. In addition to Deadpool, multitalented penciler, inker and writer Jim Calafiore has worked on many issues of Exiles during its lengthy run, and has an extensive list of credits for both Marvel and DC Comics.Well regarded as a modern master of the macabre, artist Kyle Hotz is best known for his uniquely creepy art style. Hotz first gained notice during the 1990s with extensive credentials on a long list of horror comics. Since then, he has gone on to illustrate Incredible Hulk, Ghost Rider and Venom for Marvel Comics, as well as The Hood in collaboration with writer Brian K. Vaughan. Hotz thrilled fans of the “living dead” genre with Zombie, a four-part limited series modernizing the classic ’70s-era Marvel horror character, and its sequel, The Zombie: Simon Garth.

Acclaimed author and screenwriter Benjamin Percy broke into comics in 2014 with a two-issue Batman story arc in Detective Comics. He is also known for his work on Nightwing, Green Arrow and Teen Titans for DC Comics, and James Bond: Black Box for Dynamite Entertainment. Percy wrote two seasons of Marvel’s Wolverine podcast series: Wolverine: The Long Night, which was listed as one of the top fifteen podcasts of the year by Apple and won the iHeart Radio Award for best scripted podcast in 2018, and Wolverine: The Lost Trail. In print, he was a key contributor to the X-Men’s Krakoan Era as writer of X-Force and Wolverine. Percy blazed a new trail for the Spirit of Vengeance with his deliciously dark revival of Ghost Rider and pitted some of Marvel’s greatest heroes against the iconic movie hunters, the Predators. After the mash-up concept Hellverine proved a smash hit in Percy’s Wolverine/Ghost Rider: Weapons of Vengeance crossover, the writer launched a Hellverine limited series followed by an ongoing series — with Wolverine’s son, Akihiro, assuming the mantle. And Percy was the ideal choice to unite the ultimate odd couple in the pages of Deadpool/Wolverine.Joshua Cassara made a big splash with his work on the event Secret Empire, as well as its tie-in Secret Empire: Uprising one-shot. He joined writer Rodney Barnes to challenge Sam Wilson as never before on Falcon, and teamed with writer Jeff Lemire and fellow artist Kim Jacinto on Sentry. His fast-growing list of Marvel credits also includes Venom, X-Force, X Lives of Wolverine and X-Men.Artist Robert Gill brought his talents to Totally Awesome Hulk during the acclaimed “Weapons of Mutant Destruction” crossover, and then joined writer Sina Grace on the Iceman solo series. His other Marvel credits include Atlantis Attacks, Old Man Quill and an extensive collaboration with Benjamin Percy on X-Force.

Writer/editor Stan Lee (1922-2018) made comic-book history together with Jack Kirby in 1961 with Fantastic Four #1. The monumental popularity of its new style inspired Lee to develop similarly themed characters — including the Hulk and X-Men with Kirby, Spider-Man and Doctor Strange with Steve Ditko, and Daredevil with Bill Everett. After shepherding his creations through dozens of issues — in some cases a hundred or more — Lee allowed other writers to take over, but he maintained steady editorial control. Eventually, he helped expand Marvel into a multimedia empire. In recent years, his frequent cameo appearances in Marvel’s films established Lee as one of the world’s most famous faces. As both writer and artist, Archie Goodwin (d. 1998) got his start in comic strips and cartoons before moving to Warren Publishing’s Vampirella — and from there to Marvel, where he eventually succeeded Gerry Conway as editor in chief. He has been credited with saving Marvel from financial ruin, with Roy Thomas, by securing adaptation rights to the legendary Star Wars franchise, perceiving its potential long before later merchandisers. He also wrote comic-book adaptations of Alien, Blade Runner and other hit films. He created both Marvel’s Graphic Novel line and its Epic Comics imprint — where, as editor, he occasionally appeared in caricature as alien, elf or other. He also edited early English translations of the Akira series and the works of Moebius. At DC Comics, he guided the destinies of Batman and Starman; one of his most memorable bodies of work was his collaboration with Walter Simonson on the “Manhunter” backup feature in Detective Comics, which won five Shazam Awards.Born Jacob Kurtzberg in 1917 to Jewish-Austrian parents on New York’s Lower East Side, Jack Kirby came of age at the birth of the American comic book industry. Beginning his career during the rising tide of Nazism, Kirby and fellow artist Joe Simon created the patriotic hero Captain America. Cap’s exploits on the comic book page entertained millions of American readers at home and inspired U.S. troops fighting the enemy abroad. When World War II ended, the public’s interest in super heroes waned; Kirby turned his artistic talents during the 1950s to other genres, such as monsters, Westerns and crime — as well as the first-of-its-kind Young Romance Comics. In 1961, Kirby returned to super heroes to illustrate what would become the defining issue in Marvel Comics history: Fantastic Four #1. Written by Stan Lee, the team’s debut revolutionized the industry overnight. In contrast to the staid artwork of his predecessors, Kirby’s illustrations seemed to leap off the page with eye-popping action and drama. For the next decade, Kirby and Lee would introduce a mind-boggling array of new characters — including the Avengers, the Hulk, Thor, Iron Man, the Silver Surfer and the X-Men. Taken together, Kirby’s groundbreaking work with Lee formed the foundation of the Marvel Universe. In the early 1970s, Kirby moved to DC Comics, where his boundless creativity continued. He returned to Marvel in 1975, writing and illustrating Captain America and introducing his final major concept, the Eternals. With the explosion of TV animation during the 1980s, Kirby’s talents turned to the small screen. Comic fans quickly recognized his work on such series as Thundarr the Barbarian and Turbo Teen. Kirby died in 1994, but his influence on the comic book industry is as strong as ever. His work has inspired a generation of professional artists and modern writers who continue to explore his vast universe of concepts and characters.John Buscema (1927-2002) literally wrote the book on being a Marvel artist — namely, How To Draw Comics the Marvel Way — and few were better qualified. His career dated back to the Timely/Atlas era of the late ’40s and early ’50s. Soon after beginning the Marvel Age of Comics, Stan Lee recruited Buscema from the advertising field to the Marvel Bullpen. Buscema followed a long run on Avengers with the long-anticipated first Silver Surfer series. He subsequently succeeded Jack Kirby on Fantastic Four, Thor and other titles. By the time of his retirement in 1996, Buscema had penciled nearly every Marvel title — including his personal favorite, Conan the Barbarian.

With a writing resume stretching across the romance, sword-and-sorcery, and Western genres, Denny O’Neil wrote four years of Iron Man — including some of the title’s most sweeping changes. His additional Marvel work includes runs on Amazing Spider-Man, Daredevil and Power Man and Iron Fist, as well as the one-shot X-Men: Heroes for Hope. At DC, his groundbreaking Green Lantern/Green Arrow run earned him four Shazam Awards. He also wrote and often revamped such mainstays as Batman (where he co-created Ra’s al Ghul), Flash, Superman and Wonder Woman, as well as adaptations of classic pulp heroes Doc Savage, Justice, Inc. and The Shadow. During the 1980s, he oversaw the groundbreaking death of Robin (Jason Todd). He has written multiple Batman graphic novels and novelizations, as well as The DC Comics Guide to Writing Comics.Michael Fleisher notched an indelible place in comics history in 1974, writing a series of Spectre stories that were some of the most graphically violent tales ever published at the time. During that time, Fleisher also collaborated with Steve Ditko on Shade the Changing Man, an offbeat hero bearing a reality-altering M-Vest.Multiple Eisner Award-winner Frank Miller broke into the comics business during the late 1970s, landing a choice assignment on the series Daredevil. His work quickly made the title one of Marvel’s best-selling series, as well as establishing Miller as a fan-favorite superstar. During his tenure on Daredevil, he introduced the assassin Elektra, who became a major Marvel character in her own right. After completing his initial run, Miller returned to Daredevil as writer of the acclaimed “Born Again” run with artist David Mazzucchelli; he then collaborated with John Romita Jr. for the Daredevil: Man Without Fear limited series. Miller has also had monumental success with his work on other iconic characters. In 1986, he made a splash at DC with the wildly popular and hugely influential Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, which told the tale of an older Batman still fighting crime decades after his prime. The following year, Miller reteamed with David Mazzucchelli for Batman: Year One, putting a modern spin on Batman’s classic origin story. Miller writes All Star Batman & Robin with artist Jim Lee, continuing to put his distinctive mark on the Dark Knight. Miller has parlayed his talents as a comic-book creator to major success in Hollywood. In 2005, Miller collaborated with Robert Rodriquez to co-direct Sin City, a film that was widely praised by both fans and critics. Two years later, Miller’s 300 met with similar success, breaking multiple box-office records. Miller wrote and directed The Spirit, based on Will Eisner’s classic hero.John Romita Jr. is a modern-day comic-art master, following in his legendary father’s footsteps. Timeless runs on Iron Man, Uncanny X-Men, Amazing Spider-Man and Daredevil established him as his own man artistically, and his work on Wolverine and World War Hulk is among the most explosive comic art of the 21st century. In addition to Eternals with writer Neil Gaiman, JRJR teamed with Mark Millar on the creator-owned Kick-Ass, later developed into a blockbuster feature film starring Nicolas Cage. Spidey fans rejoiced at the artist’s return to Amazing Spider-Man with the “Brand New Day” storylines “New Ways To Die” and “Character Assassination.” He later helped relaunch Avengers with writer Brian Michael Bendis and Captain America with Rick Remender, and contributed to the blockbuster crossover Avengers vs. X-Men. For DC Comics, he drew big-name characters such as Superman, Batman and the Suicide Squad before making a welcome return home to Marvel and Amazing Spider-Man.

It’s the end of an era — setting the stage for a (blue and) golden age!COLLECTING: X-Factor (1986) #51-70; X-Factor Annual (1986) #5-6; X-Factor: Prisoner of Love (1990) #1; Marvel Fanfare (1982) #50; Uncanny X-Men (1981) #270-273, #278-280; New Mutants (1983) #95-97; material from Fantastic Four Annual (1963) #23; New Mutants Annual (1984) #6; X-Men Annual (1970) #14; X-Force Annual (1992) #1; Marvel Comics Presents (1988) #74, #85-92Written by Louise Simonson, Peter David, Chris Claremont, Jim Lee, Whilce Portacio, Fabian Nicieza, Jo Duffy, Scott Lobdell & MorePenciled by Terry Shoemaker, Marc Silvestri, Steven Carr, Andy Kubert, Jon Bogdanove, Whilce Portacio, Butch Guice, Joe Staton, Jim Lee, Paul Smith, Rob Liefeld, Guang Yap, Jae Lee & More

Writer and editor Louise Simonson launched Power Pack and Web of Spider-Man and wrote memorable runs on New Mutants and X-Factor — helping map out the “Mutant Massacre,” “Inferno” and “X-Tinction Agenda” crossovers. Her major editorial credits include Star Wars and Uncanny X-Men. At DC, she wrote multiple Superman titles and became one of the main creative forces behind the “Death of Superman” saga; her scripts also appeared in Detective Comics, New Titans and more. She returned to Marvel to write the Galactus the Devourer limited series and 1999-2000’s Warlock, starring characters from New Mutants. Her later Marvel work includes the limited series Jean Grey and Power Pack: Into the Storm.Peter David is one of the industry’s most prolific and versatile writers whose record-breaking stint on Incredible Hulk remains a fan-favorite to this day. His similarly long-running — and critically acclaimed — association with X-Factor began in the early 1990s and continued in 2005 and 2014. His other Marvel work includes Captain Marvel, two lengthy stints on Spider-Man 2099, Ben Reilly: Scarlet Spider and the smash-hit Symbiote Spider-Man limited series and its sequels with artist Greg Land. David is also a novelist and screenwriter. Among his credits are some forty Star Trek tie-ins; original novels such as Sir Apropos of Nothing, Howling Mad and Knight Life; movies Trancers 4 and Trancers 5; and episodes of Babylon 5 and Crusade. He also co-created the TV show Space Cases with actor-writer Bill Mumy.In addition to illustrating annuals for New Mutants, X-Factor and X-Force, Terry Shoemaker helped conclude the “Heroes Reborn” version of Iron Man and contributed to the armored Avenger’s subsequent relaunch. He also penciled Tales of the Legion of Super-Heroes for DC, CyberRad for Continuity and Zealot for Image, as well as several Wildstorm stories.Industry giant Marc Silvestri entered the upper echelon of comics innovators in the late ’80s during fan-favorite, record-breaking runs on Uncanny X-Men and Wolverine. Silvestri left Marvel in 1992 to co-found Image Comics; his imprint, Top Cow, is one of its four longstanding autonomous studios. At Image, Silvestri created some of today’s most popular properties — including Cyberforce, Witchblade, Weapon Zero and The Darkness. Silvestri has returned to the world of Marvel’s mutants on New X-Men and X-Men: Messiah Complex.
