Steve Niles is a comic book author and novelist known for works such as 30 Days of Night; Criminal Macabre; Simon Dark; Frankenstein Alive, Alive; Mystery Society; and Batman: Gotham County Line. He is credited among other contemporary writers with bringing horror comics back to prominence.Bernie Wrightson (1948–2017) was an American artist known for his horror illustrations and comic books. He received training in art from reading comics, particularly those of EC, as well as through a correspondence course from the Famous Artists School. His first professional comic work appeared in House of Mystery #179 in 1968. He went on to work on a variety of mystery and anthology titles for both DC and its principal rival, Marvel. In 1971, with writer Len Wein, Wrightson co-created the muck creature Swamp Thing for DC. He also co-created Destiny, later to become famous in the work of Neil Gaiman. He worked on Spider-Man, Batman, and The Punisher and provided painted covers for the DC comics Nevermore and Toe Tags, among many others. Later works include Frankenstein Alive, Alive; Dead She Said; The Ghoul; and Doc Macabre (IDW Publishing), all co-created with horror author Steve Niles.

Rich Koslowski is best known for his fan-friendly comic book series The 3 Geeks (later Geeksville), the recipient of three Eisner Award nominations, and the much-lauded 2002 graphic novel Three Fingers (published by Top Shelf Productions), which won the coveted Ignatz Award for Outstanding Graphic Novel and was named one of the “500 Essential Graphic Novels” by HarperCollins in 2008. His second graphic novel with Top Shelf, The King, was released in 2005 and has been published in multiple foreign languages. In 2007, he wrote his first novel, a Christmas thriller entitled The List. 2008 brought Rich his first writing assignment for Marvel Comics, rebooting their popular character Guardian, now named Weapon Omega. Tom Waltz is a former active duty U.S. Marine, Desert Storm vet, and former California National Guard Military Policeman. He is an editor for IDW Publishing as well as the writer of critically acclaimed graphic novels, including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Last Fall, Children of the Grave, Finding Peace (with Nathan St John), After the Fire, Silent Hill: Sinner's Reward, Silent Hill: Past Life, Silent Hill Downpour: Annie’s Story, and others. He has also worked on video games, including as co-writer for Silent Hill: Downpour (Konami) and writer for Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime (Atari), TMNT: Brothers Unite (Paramount), and TMNT: Mutants in Manhattan (Activision). He grew up in Clinton, Michigan, and makes his home in San Diego with his wife and two children.Kevin Eastman was born in 1962 in Portland, Maine. He began drawing as soon as he was able to hold a crayon. His discovery of comic books gave meaning to his crazed doodling. When he discovered and studied the work of Jack Kirby, Russ Heath, Richard Corben, Vaughn Bodé, and John Severin, he began to hone his craft.
