esempio: @author Stan Lee
esempio: @artist John Romita
Jr.
@cover copertinista: cerca solo articoli di questo
copertinista. Per esempio: @cover Alex
Ross
@artista, @editore, @titolo (mentre @cover rimane uguale!)
grammaticalmente simili (Man/Men ad esempio).
articoli presentanti negli ultimi 30 / 90 giorni mentre @mese a quelli
presentati nel mese in corso e @YEAR all'ultimo anno (inteso come "gli
ultimi 365 giorni).
codice a barre.
GOLDEN AGE CLASSICS THE SPIRIT HC SLIPCASE EDITION VOLUME 5 Quality Comics was an American comic book publishing company that operated from 1937 to 1956 and was largely influential in creating the 'Golden Age' of comic books. From 1940–1950, printer Everett M. "Busy" Arnold reprinted Spirit stories under his Quality Comics banner, first individually from 1940–1947 as one of the features in 92 issues of Police Comics and from 1944–1950 as 22 issues of The Spirit. The Spirit is a fictional masked crime fighter created by cartoonist Will Eisner, who fights crime with the blessing of the city's police commissioner Dolan, an old friend. Despite the Spirit's origin as detective/criminologist Denny Colt, his real identity was rarely referred to after his first appearance, and for all intents and purposes he was simply "The Spirit". The stories are presented in a wide variety of styles, from straight forward crime drama and noir to lighthearted adventure, from mystery and horror to comedy and love stories, often with hybrid elements that twisted genre and reader expectations. Comic book stories from the 1940s and 1950s may depict some ethnic and racial prejudices that were oncecommon place in American culture. Such depictions were wrong then and are wrong today. While not representing the publisher's view of today's society, these stories are printed as they were originally created, because to do otherwise would be the same as claiming these prejudices never existed. The Dio Estate and Z2 Comics have teamed up to bring you Dio - Holy Diver, the graphic novel adaptation of the classic album "Holy Diver" and the artwork it inspired. Behold: the Holy Diver graphic novel – an original storyline inspired by one of heavy metal’s most iconic album covers. Penned by acclaimed horror comics writer Steve Niles (30 Days of Night), the book will tell the tale behind the events leading to the powerful moment captured on the cover of Dio's debut album—definitively addressing 30 years of fan speculation. Why is the priest being thrown into the ocean? Who is truly the villain in this scenario? All of these questions are exclusively answered for the first time within the 120 pages of this graphic novel. (immagine) Categoria: Books: graphic novels

First introduced as ‘Dan Brand and Tipi’ in Magazine Enterprises ‘Charles Starret as the Durango Kid’ issue #1 from October/November 1949 – the White Indian was created by Frank Frazetta and Ray Krank.Dan Brand was the colonial ancestor of the Durango Kid. On his wedding day to Lucy Wharton, Lucy’s ex-boyfriend, Peter Bradford tried to shoot Brand. The bullet missed him and killed Lucy instead. After her funeral Dan left Philadelphia to the West – to hunt down Bradford! He was attacked by a bear, which he killed with his knife but was badly wounded. Luckily, the chief of the Catawbas, Great Eagle and Tipi, his young son found Dan and helped him recover. They invited him to stay with them, which he did for a year – until Bradford reappeared, now selling rum and weapons to the Catawbas’ rival tribes. Bradford killed Great Eagle and fought with Dan – who was now known as the White Indian, where Bradford plummeted off a cliff to his death! (immagine) Categoria: Books: graphic novels
