esempio: @author Stan Lee
esempio: @artist John Romita
Jr.
@cover copertinista: cerca solo articoli di questo
copertinista. Per esempio: @cover Alex
Ross
@artista, @editore, @titolo (mentre @cover rimane uguale!)
grammaticalmente simili (Man/Men ad esempio).
articoli presentanti negli ultimi 30 / 90 giorni mentre @mese a quelli
presentati nel mese in corso e @YEAR all'ultimo anno (inteso come "gli
ultimi 365 giorni).
codice a barre.

Back in print after a several-year absence, the twelfth volume of CCC spotlights Crumb's first collaborations with writer Harvey Pekar, which appeared in Pekar's magazine American splendor. This collection also includes a skeptical report-in-comics on an aerospace symposium (commissioned by CoEvolution Quarterly, it comes off like a forerunner of Michael Moore's cocky documentary films), Crumb's encounter with a pot-smoking interviewer from high Times magazine, an evocative period piece featuring 1930s jazz musicians, another of Crumb's collaborative 'jams' with wife Aline Kominsky, and other pieces. By R. Crumb 144 pages, b/w with 16 pages of full-color, 8 1/2' x 11' $19.99 Paperback Back in print after a several-year absence, and with Crumb's popularity ever-rising, the seventh volume of The Complete Crumb Comics spotlights Crumb's work from 1970 and 1971, the peak years of Crumb's hippie stardom which led to 'the grip of paralyzing, crippling self-consciousness that for years became increasingly harder to push past,' as Crumb writes in his introduction. Included from this era is the entirety of Crumb's work from underground classics such as ZAP, The East Village other, Bijou, Mr. Natural, Uneeda, Esquire, and much more, including strips featuring classic Crumb characters like Fritz the Cat, Flakey Foont, Angelfood McSpade, Bo Bo Bolinski, and Shuman the Human. (W/A) Sophie Crumb A groundbreaking work of striking originality that charts a young artist's life through her own drawings, from toddlerhood to motherhood. Sophie Crumb's startlingly expressive drawings track her development as an artist from age 2 to 28. Revealing how an original artistic sensibility is both innate and nurtured, the book features six separate developmental stages, including Sophie's earliest drawings, the elaborate fantasy world of her childhood, her late adolescent rebellion, and her coming of age in the milieu of the Paris circus world and New York's 'seventh circle of hell.' The drawings from her early twenties reflect a personal anguish that finally ends with her becoming a mother and creating a family of her own. Illuminating and intimate, this book is a dramatic yet subtle statement on the evolution of personality as seen through art. Limited Edition includes signed prints by Sophie Crumb, her father Robert Crumb and mother Aline Crumb. (W/A) Robert Crumb A landmark work that pays splendid homage to a forgotten era of seminal American music. Robert Crumb first began drawing record covers in 1968 when Janis Joplin, a fellow Haight Ashbury denizen, asked him to provide a cover for her album Cheap Thrills. Since then Crumb has created covers for such great as The Grateful Dead, Frank Zappa, and many more. Including such classics as Truckin' My Blues Away, Harmonica Blues, and Please Warm My Weiner, Crumb's opus also features more recent covers done for CDs. The Complete Record Cover Collection is a must-have for any lover of graphics and old-time music. (immagine) Categoria: Books: novel/sci fi/horror

by Robert Crumb 144 pages, SC, 8.5 x 11, PC, $19.99 Back in print after a several-year absence, this ninth volume spotlights Crumb's work from roughly 1972-1973, one of the more controversial periods of Crumb's career, notably due to this volume's title story, 'R. Crumb Vs. the Sisterhood,' Crumb's male fantasy rebuttal to his feminist critics. Another highlight is the little-seen 'Nut Factory Blues,' the dialogue of which is mainly taken from conversations and correspondence with his older brother Charles, who lived in a mental hospital at the time and was later immortalized in the Crumb documentary. This new hardcover collection features over 120 pages of vintage Crumb comics starring the white-bearded, diminutive sage-cum-charlatan, ranging from charming, free-wheeling early '70s stories to the disturbing, controversial '90s stories (as seen in the Crumb movie), including the entire 40-page 'Mr. Natural and Devil Girl' epic. Find out why Mr. Natural is probably the most famous underground character of all time! (immagine) Categoria: Books: graphic novels

(W/A) Robert Crumb Cute little kittens, angels, and babies? Flowers, ice cream cones, and German boy bands? Coming from, supposedly, the creepiest and most pessimistic artist of his generation? Yes indeed, there is a 'sweeter side' to R. Crumb. These delectable illustrations wonderfully exemplify the many tender moments that have, until now, played second fiddle to the cult icon's raunchier sketches. Another long out-of-print book, this one from Crumb's mid-1980s period, when he was cranking out masterpiece after masterpiece for Weirdo, such as the decidely disturbing 'Psychopathia Sexualis' and the old-fogey lament 'Where Has It Gone, All the Beautiful Music of Our Grandparents.' Plus strips featuring the fashion-conscious Mode O'Day, collaborations with Harvey Pekar and Charles Bukowski, strips from Zap Comics, rare illustration work, and an introduction from Peter Bagge.
