esempio: @author Stan Lee
esempio: @artist John Romita
Jr.
@cover copertinista: cerca solo articoli di questo
copertinista. Per esempio: @cover Alex
Ross
@artista, @editore, @titolo (mentre @cover rimane uguale!)
grammaticalmente simili (Man/Men ad esempio).
articoli presentanti negli ultimi 30 / 90 giorni mentre @mese a quelli
presentati nel mese in corso e @YEAR all'ultimo anno (inteso come "gli
ultimi 365 giorni).
codice a barre.

In a world where science and sorcery have brought peace to the galaxy, a young warrior's belief system is shattered when an evil robot and an ancient witch attack his kingdom, forcing him into a quest for justice. As revelations about his world are exposed, Dizzy's faith is shaken, and he must now make an unlikely alliance with a mysterious ninja and a cyborg cat pirate. Together they'll search for a fabled weapon that could destroy evil forever and bring the universe into an unending era of peace!' Digital Lizards of Doom represents a brand new way of story-telling within the graphic novel medium, as the story is told with a combination of full-page artwork and a new dialogue system that pushes the boundaries of the format. 'This book is a great pop-culture meld, a fun mix of comics, video games, tabletop games, adventure cartoons, and more, that all combine to make something very new yet also familiar. Gabriel's approach to visual storytelling is quirky, and idiosyncratic and unique: at least it's new and fresh to me, and incredibly well done.' - Mike Towry, San Diego Comic Con co-founder. Teaching Artfully charmingly chronicles Meghan Parker's explorations as a new art teacher in a public high school. Parker struggles with engaging her students with art and why it's an important part of education. A lesson, in comic-form, we can all learn from. Created as a groundbreaking Master of Arts thesis in the Faculty of Education at Simon Fraser University, Teaching Artfully celebrates the role of the arts and emphasizes the importance of personal connection in education. Meghan Parker's debut and insightful graphic novel captures the educator's inquiries, experiences, and challenges. Ultimately Teaching Artfully captivates, inspires, and motivates the reader-all with endearing humor! 'I can't imagine a better catalyst for creativity! I would recommend this to anyone!' -Emil Ferris, Author of My Favorite Thing Is Monsters, multiple Eisner Award winner 'In an era where the arts are often eliminated from K-12 schools and standardized tests along with other impersonal metrics are the measures of student success, Meghan Parker's inquiry into what it means to teach art demonstrates the extraordinary ways art education transforms, connects, and shapes us. Parker brilliantly uses comics as the medium for this self-reflexive examination of how art works and why art education matters. This accessible and engaging book is a welcome addition to the growing body of comics as a mode of scholarly inquiry.' -Prof. Carol Tilley, Ph.D. Comics historian, library educator, former high school teacher, and past president of the Comics Studies Society Teaching Artfully © 2021 Meghan Parker. A special unit of the FBI has the mission of cataloguing, classifying, and tracking down the worst serial killers in the country. But some don't fit the profile and have proven to be elusive. There are 50 of these killers, tagged as 'suspect zeroes.' The most formidable of all, codenamed 'Schrödinger's Cat,' decides to challenge the FBI by tracking down the other 49. His rules of the game are simple: if the Feds find his designated target before him, he will reveal a clue about himself. If they arrive too late, he will kill each 'suspect zero,' one by one. 50 is a breathtaking detective thriller that keeps you guessing until the end! Shakespeare died over 400 and no story captures the mysticism and brutality of Scottish history quite like 'Macbeth'. This graphic novel aims to tell the darkest version yet of this tale of witchcraft, murder, manipulation and unbridled ambition... When we first meet Macbeth he is a hero, he has fought valiantly for his country and saved Scotland from invasion by land and sea. But a mysterious encounter with three witches, who claim to see his future on the throne, spurs his interest in being king. This sets in motion a spiral of evil as Macbeth pushes destiny and descends ever deeper into the abyss. Basing his drawings on Prague Shakespeare Company's adaptation of Shakespeare's masterpiece Scottish artist Stewart Kenneth Moore has 'done double' by documenting a stage performance in Prague by illustrating it against the starkest memories, places and myths of his homeland. Based on an adapted version of the play, the pacing of the panels and scene setting serves to clarify aspects of the play that can be hard to understand on the stage. Shakespeare loosely based Macbeth on actual events. The witchcraft in this story is almost certainly based on 'Newes from Scotland' a London pamphlet on the Berwick Witch trials. Extracts from this pamphlet are included in this book for comparison. It is the opinion of the artist that 'Newes from Scotland' and Macbeth, to a degree, share the same political subtext, only in Shakepeare's case it comes with a dose of subtle irony. Ray Troll's new book Fishhead is an exuberant plunge into the fantastic realities of sea creatures and prehistoric animals that come alive with scientific realism and his quirky sense of humor. For more than four decades, this celebrated Alaskan artist has been luring, hooking, and landing fans around the world with his mesmerizing renditions of the inhabitants of Planet Ocean, past and present. His art is featured in the nation's major natural history museums including the Smithsonian, in galleries, and in books, as well as on immensely popular T-shirts. Part natural history adventure and part underground comic, his work depicts beautiful and accurately drawn fish of all kinds, Northwest Coast totems, Freud and Darwin, fossils, resurrections of extinct animals, and much more. Troll's art is deeply thought provoking (pun intended) but also simply fun to experience and never far from an inside joke he seems to be sharing with everyone. Some of his pieces are amusingly tongue-in-cheek, others are beautifully surrealistic and evocative of the interconnectedness of life on Earth, and his grandly composed major pieces are brilliant, inspiring panoramas of the natural world. His whimsy and attention to detail in his renderings of fish and other aquatic creatures has earned him a devoted following of scientists, anglers, and people who just like a good laugh.
