Kevin Eastman began drawing as soon as he was able to hold a crayon. His discovery of comic books gave meaning to his crazed doodling. When he discovered and studied the work of Jack Kirby, Russ Heath, Richard Corben, Vaughn Bode, and John Severin, he began to hone his craft. His first published work appeared in 1980, a year or so before he met Peter Laird. In May 1984, Eastman and Laird published Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1, creating the hit Heroes in a Half-Shell.Tom Waltz is a former active-duty U.S. Marine, Desert Storm vet, and former California National Guard military policeman. He is an editor for IDW Publishing and the writer of critically acclaimed comics and graphic novels, including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles; The Last Fall; Finding Peace (with Nathan St John); the Silent Hill books Sinner’s Reward, Past Life, and Anne’s Story; and others. He has also written for video games, including Silent Hill: Downpour, Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime, and the TMNT games Brothers Unite and Mutants in Manhattan. He grew up in Clinton, Michigan, and lives in San Diego with his wife and two children.

Jess Harrold is a British writer and journalist specializing in property law and super heroes, though not usually both at the same time. He has worked for Marvel for more than a decade, contributing extensively to Marvel Spotlight as well as other magazines and books. On the return of Star Wars to the House of Ideas, Harrold wrote celebratory art collections Star Wars: The Marvel Covers, Star Wars: A New Hope — the 40th Anniversary and The Marvel Art of Star Wars. He produced retrospectives of three of the industry’s most popular artists in The Marvel Art of Skottie Young, The Marvel Art of George Pérez and The Marvel Art of Adam Kubert, as well as a visual history of an iconic character with Black Panther: Visions of Wakanda. His books also include The A-Z of Marvel Monsters, The Art of War of the Realms, and more than 15 Marvel Studios art books, commencing with Marvel Studios' Black Widow: The Art of the Movie.

Gail Simone first drew attention with her 1999 “Women in Refrigerators” website chronicling comics’ frequent mistreatment of female characters. Becoming a popular online comics columnist, Simone later wrote Simpsons stories for Bongo Comics before breaking into the mainstream with her 2002 Deadpool run and its Agent X sequel at Marvel. Moving to DC, Simone had a long, acclaimed run on Birds of Prey, featuring heroines such as Oracle (Barbara Gordon), Black Canary and Huntress. She later wrote some of those characters for TV shows such as Justice League Unlimited and Batman: The Brave and the Bold. Her other comics credits include DC’s Rose and Thorn, Villains United, Teen Titans, The All-New Atom, Wonder Woman, Secret Six, The Fury of Firestorm and a 2011 Batgirl relaunch starring Simone favorite Barbara Gordon.Artist David Marquez began his career fresh out of college as an animator on Warner Independent Pictures’ 2006 film A Scanner Darkly. He made his comics debut in 2010 with the graphic novel Syndrome, published by Archaia Entertainment, for which he received a Russ Manning Most Promising Newcomer Award nomination. He has since gone on to draw Secret Warriors, Fantastic Four: Season One, Ultimate Comics Spider-Man, All-New X-Men and Invincible Iron Man for Marvel. After early assignments on Kickers Inc. and Cloak and Dagger, Terry Kavanagh wrote Web of Spider-Man for years — spinning a hero he introduced in those pages, Nightwatch, into his own title. In addition to runs on Marc Spector: Moon Knight, X-Man and various mutant titles, he wrote Avengers, Iron Man and several tie-in one-shots during the controversial “Crossing” storyline. His miniseries work includes Before the Fantastic Four: The Storms, Fury/Agent 13, Black Cat and Rise of Apocalypse. He teamed Marvel heroes with UItraverse heroes in Exiles vs. X-Men and Ultraforce/Avengers Prelude.Writer Todd Dezago began his career on X-Factor. He then penned several Clone Saga-era Spider-books, including a lengthy Spectacular Spider-Man run. Dezago soon moved to Sensational Spider-Man, where he teamed with artist Mike Wieringo. For DC Comics, Dezago co-created Young Justice, wrote the JLA: World Without Grown-Ups miniseries and penned an acclaimed run on Impulse. In 1999, Dezago and Wieringo re-teamed to create the Image Comics fantasy series Tellos, and he co-created the Perhapanauts with artist Craig Rousseau in 2003. Dezago has written several stories for Marvel’s all-ages titles, including Marvel Age Spider-Man and Super Hero Squad.
