Kazu Kibuishi was 24 years old and working full-time in the animation industry when he began developing the idea of doing Flight. He began contacting his friends in the animation, comics, and graphic novel world to see if they would want to join the project. He now works from his home studio in Pasadena, California, creating and promoting Flight and his popular young adult comic Daisy Kutter, which was nominated as an American Library Association Best Book for Young Adults—the only graphic novel on the list in 2005.

Chris Warner is an American comic book writer, artist, and editor best known for his contributions to Dark Horse Comics. He is also known for his occasional work for both Marvel Comics and DC Comics.Kelly Sue DeConnick is the Eisner Award-nominated writer of Bitch Planet (Image), Pretty Deadly (Image), Captain Marvel (Marvel) and Osborn (Marvel) and got her start in the comics industry adapting Japanese and Korean comics into English. Joe Kelly broke into Marvel in 1997, adding his own style of irreverence to Deadpool and turning the title into a cult sensation. After runs on Daredevil and X-Men, Kelly departed for DC Comics, where he delivered award-winning work on Action Comics and Superboy.
