esempio: @author Stan Lee
esempio: @artist John Romita
Jr.
@cover copertinista: cerca solo articoli di questo
copertinista. Per esempio: @cover Alex
Ross
@artista, @editore, @titolo (mentre @cover rimane uguale!)
grammaticalmente simili (Man/Men ad esempio).
articoli presentanti negli ultimi 30 / 90 giorni mentre @mese a quelli
presentati nel mese in corso e @YEAR all'ultimo anno (inteso come "gli
ultimi 365 giorni).
codice a barre.

"A riveting page-turner.” —Kirkus Reviews (starred review)Home to catfish and crawdads, shrimp and spoonbills, even a gator or two, Lake Peigneur—pronounced “your pain,” only backward—bustles also with human life. Each day, the bean-shaped freshwater lake and its shores hum with folks going about their work: a devoted gardener’s apprentice and his dogs, fishermen, oilmen drilling at Well P-20, and the fifty-one miners employed by the Diamond Crystal Salt Mines. For most, November 20, 1980, began as “just another day on the lake.” But as the lake itself reflects, humans had, over time, left behind a honeycomb of salt highways deep beneath its surface, and water and salt mix all too well. Bracing, suspenseful, and packed with dramatic illustrations and dense end matter, this story of a catastrophic accident—narrated with the homespun voice of a “tall” tale, but true nonetheless—will amaze science and history buffs alike.
Allan Wolf is the author of many books for young people, including the novel The Watch that Ends the Night, which was named one of the 50 Best Young Adult Novels of All Time by Booklist; the novel Junius Leak and the Spiraling Vortex of Doom; the nonfiction graphic novel The Vanishing of Lake Peigneur, illustrated by Jose Pimienta; and the poetry collection The Gift of the Broken Teacup, illustrated by Jade Orlando. Shortly after launching his men’s adventure line of comic books in 1949 (and just before he published his first war title), Atlas publisher Martin Goodman found, in the middle ground between crime and men’s adventure, the sneakier, conspiratorial sub-genre of spy comics. The first title was Spy Cases (soon followed by Spy Fighters and Kent Blake of the Secret Service) and the contents were Cold War noir stories, as Doug Grant, Secret Agent, protected America’s interests, fighting commies from behind the Iron Curtain. Led by superlative action/adventure artwork by Al Hartley (later Bill Savage) and supported by Atlas titans including Gene Colan, Bill Everett, Russ Heath, Jerry Robinson and Joe Maneely, America ferrets out sinister threats in thrillers like: “The Traitor!,†“Discs of Death,†“Frame-Up in Red,†and “The Case of the Missing B-29!†All spy comics had healthy runs and by 1952, the Korean War made its presence felt in every adventure title. Patriotic, but also subtler, darker and more sinister than the familiar costumed hero titles, the spy genre is a little-seen aspect of Marvel’s deep history. (immagine)

Presenting the award-winning, critically acclaimed original graphic novel from The Lab Press — now available in The Lab Portable™ Edition! Adapted from the previously published premium hardcover slipcase edition, The Lab Portable™ Edition offers this complete, unabridged graphic novel in a smaller, paperback format—the same acclaimed story and artwork, now more accessible than ever. Praised as "succeeds as both a parody and a legitimate entry into the sci-fi genre" (Printed Word Reviews) and "fast paced, fun, and full of quirky, bizarre, and unexpected situations" (Foreword Reviews), Super Science Vol. 1 has earned a reputation as one of indie publishing's standout graphic novels. In a world where imagination becomes reality, ordinary people gain the power to change the world—whether they should or not. For five days, the sky turned amethyst—and the limits of human imagination disappeared. Across the globe, ordinary people became capable of extraordinary inventions, reshaping the world in ways no one could predict or control. Three years later, the LAPD's Mad Scientist Division is left to deal with the consequences. Sergeant Esmerelda Villanueva and her rookie partner Jack Mantle are tasked with containing a constant stream of incidents involving rogue technology, unstable experiments, and individuals who have pushed science far beyond its limits. But as cases escalate and the line between innovation and danger disappears, it becomes clear that this new world isn't just chaotic—it's evolving. An original graphic novel that blends science fiction, superhero storytelling, and police procedural with sharp humor and grounded characters, Super Science Vol. 1 explores what happens when discovery outpaces responsibility. by (W) Mariana Enriquez (A) Lucas Nine (CT) Megan McDowell
The spellbinding graphic adaptation of four stories from Mariana Enriquez’s modern horror classic Things We Lost in the Fire Electric, disturbing, and wholly original, the stories of Things We Lost in the Fire explore multiple dimensions of life and death in contemporary Argentina. Each haunting tale simmers with the nation’s troubled history, but among the abandoned houses, black magic, and superstitions, there is also friendship, compassion, humor, and love. Celebrated artist Lucas Nine transforms Enriquez’s unique blend of literary horror into a mesmerizing graphic adaptation of four of her “phenomenal” (Vanity Fair) stories. Featuring more than 100 pages of full-color illustrations, this edition maintains the suspense and psychological terror of Enriquez’s fiction, while adding new layers of visual meaning and immediacy to her “propulsive and mesmerizing” (New York Times) tales.
