esempio: @author Stan Lee
esempio: @artist John Romita
Jr.
@cover copertinista: cerca solo articoli di questo
copertinista. Per esempio: @cover Alex
Ross
@artista, @editore, @titolo (mentre @cover rimane uguale!)
grammaticalmente simili (Man/Men ad esempio).
articoli presentanti negli ultimi 30 / 90 giorni mentre @mese a quelli
presentati nel mese in corso e @YEAR all'ultimo anno (inteso come "gli
ultimi 365 giorni).
codice a barre.
H.P. Lovecraft's The Call of Cthulhu, first published in 1928, is one of the greatest classics of American horror literature. Cthulhu himself, dreaming and waiting at the bottom of the sea, became a symbol for the entire mythology that Lovecraft created. François Baranger, an illustrator who has previously worked in film and games, was fascinated early on by Lovecraft's creatures and visions which populated the darkest recesses of fantasy. In this book, he has taken on the work of illustrating Lovecraft's most iconic novel. (immagine) Categoria: Books: novel/sci fi/horror

Written in 1928, H.P. Lovecraft's The Call of Cthulhu defined the ancient gods as dark creatures who came from the stars and ruled the world before mankind. When these ancient ones awaken, humanity is plagued by a nightmare of terrors etched upon an epic backdrop. The author's concept deeply redefined the horror story with this thrilling, dense mystery that spawned a virtual genre. The artist Gary Gianni and designer Marcelo Anciano both felt that Lovecraft's short story presented an opportunity to visually expand the Cthulhu Mythos and push the boundaries of illustrated books. Intense and fast-paced, the tale enabled them to explore graphic storytelling and illustrate the text in a unique way. It was a personal project for Gianni, who drew upon his decades of experience in illustrating numerous books and graphic novels. The Call of Cthulhu, as illustrated by Gary Gianni, is a fusion of cinematic design, the graphic novel and illustrated books. Over a hundred finished pencil drawings with color pieces enhance and bring to life the work of two visionaries-Lovecraft and Gianni-in an extraordinary feat of storytelling and art. 'That is not dead which can eternal lie, and with strange eons even death may die,' declared H.P. Lovecraft describing the truth hidden beneath the surface of his most nightmarish stories. In this collection of six short stories and novellas, Lovecraft explores the boundaries of modern horror, ranging from the cosmic dread of demonic creatures from the stars in 'The Call of Cthulhu,' to 'The Haunter of the Dark,' and the hidden horrors lurking within 'The Shunned House' and 'The Diary of Alonzo Typer.' Also includes 'The Shadow Over Innsmouth' and 'The Festival.' With color art by Sam 'Mister-Sam' Shearon and a new introduction by Lovecraft scholar Robert Weinberg.
